it runs my Hitachi roofing nailer for patchwork and it can keep up for patchwork. I could probably nail a square of shingles with a larger 6-9 ah battery. definitely eats up the batteries
How about using it for an air blower? My son & I have RC vehicles & when we’re out bashing with them we have to wait until se get home to clean them. We’d rather do it in the field. Please advise Thank you
Hey bud nice video , Can I ask you some questions please ? I've just bought one of these unit's & the necessary air hose pipe + air gun . I'm wondering did you have to tape up or seal in some way , all threaded join's on you're hose fittings ??? After setting everything up on my unit there's hissing air coming from the thread that connects the hose into the gun ...☹️ Was thinking do I have some faulty hose fittings... ? Or do I need to do some thread taping in order to make completely air tight ? Can you shed some light ? Thanks ...
Possibly if you press the air nozzle momentarily a few times. If you keep the nozzle pressed you'll run out of pressure pretty quick because it's only like a gallon size tank
BUY A RYOBI TO DEWALT BATTERY ADAPTER. I buy some Ryobi tools but use Dewalt batteries on them because obviously they’re much better. Found the adapter on Amazon for about $25 and works great. I install commercial doors for a living and have been using these adapters for a long time now. Going to be buying this compressor but using a DeWalt battery on it. They also sell adapters for Milwaukee tools and even have an adapter that lets you use either a Milwaukee or DeWalt battery on a Ryobi tool !!
I was talking to my cousin about getting between my seat in my car. Ive tried everything. He said he has a little chinese guy who details cars but instead of vacuuming he uses an air compressor to blow all the garbage out under the and beside the console to the front and then vacuums. The only reason im watching this is because im wondering if this has the power to blow (with the right connections) it out. I talk just crumbs from chicken and other little fragments of this or that. ANy idea????
I do some very small projects (nothing big) and carry with me a 5gal portable air tank, but it's a bit tiring to refill at service stations. I wonder how this unit will work if I connect it to my 5gal tank? Thanks again for you time.

I am heavily invested in dewalt batteries and don't want to get into another line. But dewalt doesn't offer a compressor for the 20v system just the inflator. I am seriously considering buying this compressor and using a battery adapter for dewalt 20v batteries. I want a compressor for pumping up tires away from the shop. I farm and always have a flat tire on something.

I have found RUclipsrs that have run the 20v batteries in 18v tools with no problems but not the compressor so I don't know. I am not planning to use it for continuous duty just get it out of the truck tool box pump up a tire then put it up until the next flat tire. I may go with the dewalt 20v inflator. If I decide to try it I will let you know how it works. Thanks for the input.

MRBoatwrights Just so you no Dewalt has released a 20 volt version of their 60 volt Compressor. Its even on the Dewalt website. Distribution is slow but, at least they are listening to us. Btw. I have been using the small blower with the attachments to blow stuff off and even partially inflate my 11 foot Zodiac. I use the Dewalt inflator to do my tires. This has been my work around for not having a compressor
@@darkerbrother1 I bought the 18v ryobi compressor a few months back. I bought a battery adapter off Amazon to run it on the 20v dewalt battery it works perfect. I like the fact that it is small and compact I don't leave home with out it. I have it mainly for pumping up tires away from the shop. I went with my cousin to pick up a skid steer yesterday when we where hooking up the trailer and getting the chains and binders I sat my compressor over in the back of his pickup. He asked me what I was going to do with it, I said pump up a tire if I see one that needs air. The 20v dewalt batteries acutally put out the same voltage as the 18v they are advertising the nominal voltage at full charge.
great review! its everything i want but i dont know if it will perform the way i want it to... i usually run the 1.5ah batteries. guess i have to step my game up. it should be better than cans of compressed air for spraying stuff down.....maybe painting small things out of a gravity paint gun? im pretty sure im going to buy it and see how it goes for my weird uses...probably keep it. definitely a lot easier than bringing out a big compressor....doesnt seem too loud either. i like the viair 88p or stronger model for carry in the car for tires. paired with a jumpncarry 660 or stronger to keep that battery goin and a full gas can. ive got the m12 ratchet and impact and NEED to use them more

For the break in procedure when you open it out the box, it says to turn it on and have the drain plug open for 30mins at zero tank pressure. By 0 tank pressure does this mean to have the pressure regulator knob turned counter clockwise so it doesn’t let air into the hose or what would it mean?

Question for you…. I have a camping travel trailer and the tires recommend up to an 80psi level. I know you mentioned it can go above that level. Have you tried using this machine on a higher psi rated tire? I am already on the Ryobi platform so I wouldn’t need to buy any batteries. So this option intrigues me. Please let me know. Hey guys ! I’m tempted to buy this BUT I have doubts. Here’s my situation, I am working in an office space and I share the building with a lot of attorneys so I need something that’s not louder than a regular vacuum. Would this be a good buy ? I’m a barber and I really need an air compressor to clean my tools and hair off my clothes and floor. Would this be too loud ? If so do you recommend me any other small unit that might be more quiet.
The 4.5 gal husky silent compresser is also awesome. I did a remodel and with it inside I could still have a normal level conversation when it turned on to fill. I am super happy with the purchase.

I love my desk Ryobi one gallon air compressor. Thank God I snatched one up before inflation damn near doubled the price in 2022

Just so there is no load on it for the break-in period.If the drain plug is open it wont put any load on the motor.

Thanks man. How long would it take to air a tire up from 20psi to 45psi? Would this be faster than the smaller Ryobi inflator for that?

You can also make an acoustic box for your compressor to live in.

How many AH is the battery ?
You need minimum 4AH.
Most tools only come with 1.5 or 2AH batteries
