Sounding like they were about to fall apart just to pull it back together again is one of Led Zeppelin's trademarks for live performances. You can hear the same thing in the first two tracks of the 1971 BBC performance, Immigrant Song and Heartbreaker. You can hear it in many of their shows, if not all of them (at least prior to 1977 and definitely prior to 1979). They were a band that took risks live and we're not afraid to improvise and run the chance of falling flat on their faces, which they did sometimes. There are some performances of songs that are just heavenly and there were some train wrecks as well. But that is what happens when you're a confident in your abilities and are willing to go up front of thousands of people and take chances. Not many performers are willing to do that then or now.
I love that Bonham could take the most gentle and mundane tunes , play drums behind them heavier than any given Metallica or Slayer song , and somehow it's PERFECT.
Yeah, at the beginning of the tour... Later on they only get better, and by March they really were at the top of their game. We can only imagine how good they could get if not for Plant's accident just few days after the last gig in Earls Court...

Imagine this in 1971
I cannot believe I've only kust now come across this! another 29 minutes of unheard masterly to follow.

When will Jimmy Page get the credit he deserves.
Cory Wong I hope that's a joke. More like when will Alex Lifeson get the credit he deserves. Jimmy is already considered a god by many many people.
Tyler ya I've recently been watching Alex liefson and its actually a joke how good he is. Going try and learn some licks from this solo though.
DustytheHitman581 Those Canadians sure can play. Have a good time learning the solo!
@@TylerLL2112 He is an entertainer or artist that's all.
Bogdan Anderson
No, he is a rock god.
God surely blessed us when he put these 4 men on this earth for us and gave them the gift of heavenly musical talent in order to leave us with something future generations can enjoy forever !!!
Woodstock 8:58
I came upon the child of god
he was walking along the road
and as I asked him - Where are ya'going?
This he told me:
Said i'm going down the Yasgour farm
to join a rock'n roll band
To let flow my soul
above the nations
We are stardust
We are golden
We are stardust
and we've got to get ourself,
got to let ourself,
got to get ourself
got to get ourself
back to the garden
back to the garden
back to the garden
back to the garden
Drunk
Yes this is a song Mitchell's wrote and CSNY played deja vu album
The Fusion between them all is Aweomely Raw!! If there's such a word? But my favorite?! Sir. John Henry Bonham!!
surprised no one ever mentions John Paul Jones
kid rock in every zeppelin comment section to ever exist there have been at least three (sometimes hundreds or thousands) people praising John Paul Jones. Heck, I very rarely see people praising jimmy page. In fact, if they ever comment on him it’s usually about how bad he is. And unless he does some godly wail or high notes, nobody pays attention to plant
True Zeppelin fans know Jonsey is important and vital to the band. Without him there is no Zeppelin
Vizo Khrieo I’m not too sure if they do either. I’ve never asked them
Vizo Khrieo well, I didnt know russians like Led Zeppelin either
zeppelin is universal
Jimmy hears sounds from all eternity!
MEU DEUS DO CÉU !!!!!
