    One of my favorite pellet slingers, , so many upgrades and custom modifications can be done to make theses impressive performers. You can also leave them alone and just shoot thousands of pellets very accurately . Lots of weekend fun 🤩

    In regard to boring out the valve...yes it helps increase the FPS but due to the fact you have a larger space to fill it takes more pumps to get it there than if you had just left the valve interior stock dimension. Seems almost pathetic having to pump that thing 20, 30 times. Certainly takes the fun out of it and wasting a lot of shooting time with pumping time. Not to mention fatigue time. Seems like just modifying the exhaust port with the inside angle and a different transfer port bushing with a larger diameter hole would help push pellets out fast enough with still the stock pump parameters. I have 2 of these pistols...a 1322 from the Custom Shop and a 1377 from WalMart. I did the mods i just talked about and have no problem hitting what i aim at at 50 yards with open sites and sighted in at 20 yards. I can hit a dog food can at 50 yards aiming dead center with both guns 12 pumps and the pellet goes through from both guns. The .22 cal actually blows out the backside of the can with about a 1/2" hole!!! That is FPS enough for me...

      At the same number of pumps these mods will outperform a stock gun. This same gun stock shot 52fps less at ten pumps. What I wanted was a gun that could out perform stock at normal pump levels but could also reach much higher velocities if I wanted to pump it way up. Also my flat topped piston greatly reduces pump friction over the rubber cup so pumping is no big deal. I usually give my 1322 one pump per pellet grain to get about 600fps. The mods you mention all add up but increasing volume gets you a little faster.

    Interesting. Im just shooting a 18in barrel with standard transfer port. I just shoot up to 10 pumps max. I noticed a decline in velocity with a opened up transfer port until about 15 pumps and higher. My goal is to get the highest velocity with the lowest amount of pumps. It is definitely fun to tinker. I will be heavy modding a "1320", whenever my .20cal barrel and bolt can be made and shipped. But, I can't wait to tinker with that. Hopefully it will hit like a .22 and penetrate like a heavy .177. Will be putting in a f/t piston and valve also.

    really great video, i searched "CROSMAN 1322 mods chorongraph" and this was #3, after messing with the Marauder pistol and a Hill pump for a while and wanting something simpler - trying this route now. Simpler and maybe better, and a lot fewer things to mess around with for sure.

    It'll do a whole lot better if you drill the barrel to match you transfer port and your valve exhaust also if you cut down the exhaust pin it will increase airflow to the seat also you'll want to put a heavier hammer spring in it to take advantage of your mods

    Those RWS Max .22 pellets are my occasional favorite. Sort of expensive but, i like using the in my Crosman.22 cO2 2260 rifle i bought several years ago around time it first was discontinued. I'm not exactly sure what velocity i was getting using this pellet, although i pretty sure it was above 600 fps, slightly because of only alloy metal construction. Any way, great video and excellent scene of mountain,👍.

    The Crosman HP still got more ft/lbs (15.5) at 700 fps than the lighter 9.9 grn pellet at 777 fps (13.3). Still, amazing how you got that much speed with those relatively simple mods. Gotta try that with my Crosman 362, which has almost exactly the same engineering as the 1322, but a heavier spring, and of course a longer barrel.

When I was a kid, what I could afford was crap and nobody knew crap and it wasn’t easy to find out crap to make your crap worth 💩. I’m sure when I can budget after initial expense, I’ll be in touch for the upgrade. Thanks again for some good 💩 man!

    Awesome demo! I'd be curious to see if the same pistol could dump all of its air at 40 pumps with a heavier hammer spring and lighter valve spring. I have a 1300KT in .22 with modded valve (not flat top), port, and springs, though not the piston, long steel breech, and 10" barrel, so fairly similar, but no chronograph. I use the same 14.3 gr hollow points as your first test, but usually only pump to 20. I'm going to see what 30 pumps does with this thing. If it's anything lie yours, with 670 fps, I'll be quite pleased. Thank you for the thorough walk through.

      TheGreenWelty what part do you drill out? The actual barrel itself or something else??

    • @TheGreenWelty
      @TheGreenWelty 6 лет назад +3

      Lane Merrill the barrel itself you drill the transfer port, see how where the metal meets up to the barrel it's got a small step, and a complete pass through hole, drill that passed through hole out to 3/16 and drill the step out to 1/4 inch. then you replace your transfer port with poly tube really it's refrigerator freezer tube. you can also take your valve exhaust poppin and Chuck that up in your drill and spin that and grind a little bit of a off the shaft with a file take it down to about 1/16 directly behind the poppet head traveling down the shaft approximately a quarter of an inch. You would really benefit from an extended bolt probe and longer barrel too when you add more volume to your valve requires more pumps to get it up to higher pressure and short barrels require high pressure for high velocity Long barrels will make use of that lower pressure with higher volume but with the 10" you should see 600 at 15 or so and 700 at 30

    • @TheGreenWelty
      @TheGreenWelty 6 лет назад +2

      I don't know how good you are with Drilling and tapping but if you wanted to reinforce your pump you can drill and tap your tube and valve on the sides I would go and tap straight through both the tube and the valve and set a single screw on both sides of your grip perfectly lined up with your grip screw just make sure not to go too deep with the drill you don't want to sacrifice the strength of the valve just mimic the screw that's there and then get a piece of three-quarter inch ID 16 wall pipe the end of that Mill out the center for your pump linkage and slide that of the end of your pump tube and drill and tap that through the end of your pump tube to reinforce your tube where the pivot pin sets this will give Max compression strength in your chamber and prevent stretching of your two when you pump it really high
