I used this for the first time on a pretty jagged and long crack that went over the edge. Worked well but will take practice to gain that muscle memory to keep the ribbon on the whole iron.

Placing my order tomorrow! Now get a curved tip for the Steinel. Will this work with Fiberflex too?

FiberFlex is applied differently. It's not a fusion weld.
You should not attempt to melt the base material together with the FiberFlex. Repairing with FiberFlex is similar to a
brazing process.

@@scottb7600 I've seen the videos of that with the Fiberflex. It just became a multi tool. Please don't charge more.

I have problems making sure the rod is hot enough to properly stick

AS long as both surfaces are melted, they should stick. If they do not, double check to make sure you have the right filler rod for the matial you are welding.
