Burning Abyss is wrecking havoc in the ocg so Konami decided to limit Beatrice
- there are lists that do play SP at multiple copies
- Beatrice is sopt, while the Fiendsmith lists does only play one, various FTKs does play multiple copies to either play through handtraps or to mill more because why not
plausible deniability, basically so they can say
"we know S:P is too strong see we limited it to 1!" looks like action when in reality they aren't doing anything

Sp being at 1 vs 3 doesn't even matter the only deck that was using three used two of them as a warrior link for material
VV and r-ace use 2, VV use exravagant to has another one if banish by it, r-ace use for protect turbulance and another one for clear board.

Didn't Halq had the same impact? (Ofc less effective cause you need to build your deck around it, unlike a link 2 that can scale into a 5.3k asshole who wipes your field)

In case you never seen it till now, there are some people who are doing more or less the same FTK with the turtle using the Horus engine, usually if they open with the turtle or ice barrier.
Use the Horus engine to put 2 monsters on the field, Draglubion > Numeron Dragon > activate effect > ice barrier get turtle> tribute summon > tribute Numeron dragon

The Horus engine needs to go. It's only used by toxic decks

Colossus from 1 to 3 is wild
Considering that a lot of new cards set or put cards on the field from the deck and Konami plans to go on like that, colossus is just going to be a 2600/2400 vanilla.

@@Timikator you just need a foolish burial goods or have ice barrier trap in hand and discard to grave with Horus. Once you bring out numeron banish ice barrier trap to get catapult turtle and tribute summon. FTK.

@@Timikator I actually had this happen to me in masterduel in the duel cup, horus was able to mill turtle and somehow bring it back to their hand and tribute summoned it and otk me on turn one
Catapult turtle was my first yugioh card ever. Sad to see him get hit. 😢

Any floodgate that is used AFTER whole setup is done should be banned (If not all floodgates, but you know, have to keep the try-hards happy); watching opponent go full Kash combo and the end normal summon Pachicefalo is peak YGO interactivity

Diabellstar is good for the meta let me talk I love vs against snake eye and all stadigies of it ots way better then vs against labyrinth trap users who r boring af or stun plus snake eye is beatable if play against rescue ace turbulence after he resolves u just straight up lose nomater what it's almost as toxic as harald of ultimate and snake can be beaten contently with branded and sword soul and it also has a fair match up against reduce ace it has 15 plus 1 card starters @dykayed pls offer ur opion on this so people see ur approval too and I'm a sword soul player so ik I can beat snake eye

Nah OSS is fine since it gets hard countered by Ash but flamberge is a problem
Flameberge alone isn't a problem, every card in the snake eye arc type is a proble, if you really think about it flameberge is just a + 1 body on the field with sum utilities

Yeah but it doesn't help with outing a board, stopping backrow removal or dealing with Backrow so it's pretty bad and only worth hitting because of what it represents(singleton cards that lead to nongames). The summon restriction traps have always been LEAGUES better because they double as board wipes, but they're also 2-sided so they can be tricky to manage without ways to self-remove them(though a deck like Sky Striker can use Multirole, Zeke or Area Zero to do that so the main issue is you don't want to run a card that only works well when going first).

there are a lot of cards that help going 2nd and a deck that otks on the spot without being able to respond isn't healthy
There's two reasons I can think of, if it's a "too generic" searcher or it's level/stats/attributes that allows exploits by other archetypes. That and the fact that there are so many ways to dump it to the GY for cost or whatever so it's always a win win situation when you use it, opponent negates first effect not the second, you still pop off,you get what I meant.

"Unaffected by" is why I went to stun decks and burn decks. You can't ss with stun and with burn, doesn't matter if your monsters are Unaffected. You'll still take the damage

Best way to get rid of Unaffected monsters is kaiju, Daruma karma cannon and evenly matched . (Karma cannon is the easiest way to do it)

yeah they keep bothering OCG like a salty loser. Max c allow more diverse meta, tcg keep banning undeserved (unchain for example) while keep the expensive snake they curently sell full power
@@GrassMedici-zk2mv more diverse meta? Whatever ends up meta in OCG ends up meta in TCG. Hint: meta decks can play Maxx C too. The deck diversity isn't changed at all by Maxx C, but deck list diversity is impacted dramatically.
@@fraternovaeres Look at the topping deck persentage in OCG. snake is no where as tier 0 as tcg, There are also more variety deck that toping. TCG keep saying meta deck can play max c too, so what?? it also enable weaker deck to compete its a worth it trade. TCG player is salty their expensive meta deck getting maxceed by some random deck

maxx c limits the diversity of decks cause the best deck will often be the deck with less summons and better boards and this isn't the case in tcg
and even if it made the meta diverse which it didn't that doesn't justify it's existence cause it also limits deck building . it's just an auto win card if you don't draw the answer for it which is really unhealthy for the game

I swear whoever is running the OCG banlist just throws a bunch of random cards on there to make it look like their doing something.. it's just a bunch of pointless limits or unlimits.
It's also kind of funny how to immediately ban every obscure burn related FTK but refuse to ban the 1 card Zero Turn Kill that every deck plays at 3.
14:54 The reason why Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings is limited is solely for it's ability to put string counters to monsters.
It's effect to burn your opponent for 500 at the end of their next turn by destroying all monsters with string counters is not really relevant.
It's CHAOS XYZ FORM, is the one who is BENEFITNG FROM THE COUNTERS.
Since ON-SUMMON OF THE DARK STRINGS, IT DESTROYS ALL MONSTERS WITH STRING COUNTERS + BURNS DAMAGE EQUAL TO THE ONE WITH HIGHEST ATTACK + DRAWS 1 CARD.
So this hit just makes their OTK harder since they would now have to change the sequencing of their summons and more likely to mess up.
(Unless they used the deck from way back and know how to pilot it carefully)

Does plushfire and kirin help pendulums a lot? If not, why?
I can't talk about Plushfire, but Kirin was banned because it was virtually untouchable. Only way to deal with Majespecters (back then) is by combat, but Kirin would simply bounce itself and whatever your best card was on the field if you tried to attack it. That's not good enough nowadays, with so much negation and so much recursion. Also, Pendulums have never recovered from MR4. Kirin should've been unbanned a *very* a long time ago. It's getting unbanned now because Konami recently released Majespecter support and they probably saw Kirin was still on the list.

Nah , plushfire, kirin and pendulum decks overall would not shake the meta at all . Most cards nowadays can easily counter and bypass kirin . And plushfire is not a problem anymore after been errata . The fact that konami release kirin after 3 core set , and there's no hype anymore and people already forget the majespecter support , really showing you how afraid and hate konami to pendulum

tell me right tf now master duel would be better without maxx. if you do, you’re wrong. it ALREADY is difficult for going second. i’ve been playing striker recently, and a lot blind second when playing it, but in my experience it’s just not feasible with the boards people put up in md currently. even tear, supreme king.
think about that. a deck that DESPERATELY wants to go second (tenpai is exception bc of its field and battle phase oriented summoning negating nib and even veiler, it’s a perfect storm), simply cannot feasibly do it, even with maxx c running around to boost its chances. maxx c is NEEDED in md and if you think otherwise you’re simply wrong. that’s it. no other way to put it. how many tcg regional/ycs recaps do you see that simply state “went second” when going over their losses? now imagine that in bo1.
