I love your editing style, man! The way that you cut back and forth between this film and shots from The Lord of the Rings films, for example... it's so well-done!
Thank you very much! Yes, this was a video of passion…. and Battletrucks! As soon as I realized where this film was taking place, I knew what had to be done 😉
I'm glad that I could help! Also blew my mind that I had never heard of this until the trailer popped up on my recommendations a few months ago. The second half is especially fun!
That exoskeleton armouring on Battletruck _screams:_ "You Must Watch This." ... let's see, looking, looking, Found it! And it has seeders. Yippie! Well as I see it, I've already made it through the first half of The SmAck-olyte, without breaking any furniture in a drunken maddened rage at Dizney (not yet at least.) So I think I can handle anything now. Plus the practical effects in Battletruck look pretty awesome. Real shit getting blown up in real explosions. That's a movie! 🥃
It’s a great slice of early 80s B-movie action! The use of film, real explosions and real vehicles elevates these good B-movies of this era compared to those of the late 90s and onward when it all became video cameras and bad CGI.
I can’t wait for the sequel, Battletruck: Mildly Miffed Avenue
Haha! Well all I know is that Battletruck has one of your favorites in it, Michael Beck from “The Warriors!”
I saw this on tv in college back in the 90s. It’s funny!
Yeah, it’s a good fun watch, and the destruction of the truck itself at the end is legitimately amazing!

The Australian outback was so “broiling hot” that in all the behind the scenes shots everyone is bundled up. 😂
@@oildalejones567 Haha! I know it was cold at times while filming but the imagery / the atmosphere presented on film gives the sense of desert heat.
@@fermentedcinema4892 And every ripoff had to have black hot rods in the desert.
oh wow! im a Kiwi and huge Mad Max nerd, i cant believe this is the first ive heard of this movie! def giving it a watch

You’ll have a good time watching it! Trust me!
The chassis of that trailer is now seeing service as part of a bridge on a farm
Happy to hear that even after death the soul of Battletruck lives on!
OMG Megaforce is a classic b-movie night feature. That LoTR bit was great!
I forgot about this, compared to Mad Max everything along this line is bobbins. Although Steel dawn was good but a lot less cars.
The final act of this film does elevate it a lot compared to most other Mad Max ripoffs IMO though.
You sold me! Now I have to figure out where I can see it.
You can actually watch the full movie on RUclips! It’s a fun watch!
Battletruck is available on DVD and good old-fashioned VHS!
@@SupremeGreatGrandmaster Can you seriously still buy it new on VHS!? 😂
@@fermentedcinema4892 Maybe not new but it's out there somewhere on VHS. 😀
Don’t know if you noticed Cliff from Cheers is one of the hippies.
I saw this on Cinemax years ago. Campy Fun!

OK now I can't wait to watch this. Jelly belly sold me
You’ll have a great time! Especially if some beer is handy 😉
@@fermentedcinema4892 I'm in. Great job buddy
He said 'TITular'....hee hee hee....
Now how can I say that with a straight face…
🤘🏼😎
Thank you, sir! 😊
Great review!
Thanks! I don’t want to admit how long this took to make! 😂
Ok, it looks so bad that I wanna see it!
It’s a fun ride! First half is so bad it’s good, but then the second half genuinely becomes a good film! It’s a good ride!
For Battletruck!! 🫡
And the Battletruck salutes you right back!
