Open country mule deer hunting with a bow is definitely one of the most challenging hunts. But when it finally comes together its amazing.

Have y’all tried getting ear pieces where you can communicate with each other in that open terrain for when one stays back and is watching? I would think that would help a bunch in these situations!

Food Allergy Family here, Epinephrine (epi-pens) need to be properly stored, so even keeping one in your hunting truck might not be helpful if they freeze or get to hot.

Here's an idea. On an app you log in location of the area the hunting group is. You sign in and can see where each member is during the drive all times. Thought of this 2 years ago. THP SUPPORTER 👍 💥
I think there are already apps that do this. One is called Huntloc. I can't remember the name of the other ones.

Mulies have big ears, they hear everything. You make noise and they are gone. I have stripped down to shorts and socks to stalk some, I got a 200+inch buck that way

Can definitely relate to the allergic reactions, I recently found out I have alpha gal. I have 2 epi pens, and have had multiple reactions on hunting trips! Not fun to go through at all!

Is there anyway you can communicate with each other during a stock? Jake seems to be able to see the big picture while Zach is right on top of everything & can’t see over the hills.
They probably could just text each other or something but I'm pretty sure it's illegal. I know doing that sort of thing can disqualify you from entering animals in the P&Y and B&C books
Depends on the state and their laws regarding electronics
In most states it's illegal to use radios or other electronic devises to hunt.
One time here (WV), I came out of a public hunting area to see game wardens writing tickets to a group of 12 hunters that got caught using walkie-talkie's to hunt. Idk what all happened, but they was not happy!!
I'm pretty sure it's illegal in most states. As it should be.

Brother I remember the fork in New Mexico! Been a long time coming!
That buck is one of the most memorable deer both Roy and I have ever hunted. It was a unique public land experience where we got to observe the same buck everyday for roughly a week straight. We learned so much from hunting that buck. He taught us a lot about how deer avoid pressure, use certain terrain features/cover, and a whole lot more all of which are not just mule deer traits. He is a legend of a buck to Roy and I and have a picture of him bedded in my office so I always remember that feeling of him beating us everyday. That buck and that hunt changed the way I look at a lot of things.
@@TheHuntingPublic I’ve never chased mule deer but that series made me drop 600 pins across several states, ha! You guys as a whole have given me a similar life experience. Never hunted public, never turkey hunted. When my life was in shambles I discovered the thp turkey tour(2018). You all guided and mentored me to a newly discovered love for life. I’m sure you’ve done that for a lot of folks. Thank you and Merry Christmas
