Oh my gosh, what a great video and a superb southern buck. Congratulations! I was brought to tears when Walker showed up because he reminded me so much of my 46 yr old nephew who died last week. My nephew loved the southern woods more than life itself and he died just after leaving his deer camp. All you young guys at THP have no idea how many of us older fellows hunt vicariously through your videos and are so thankful for what you produce. You are blessed to do what you do and we are grateful for the time you put in to make great hunting videos. Thanks again.

Aaron always seems so calm and focused when he has a buck in his sights. Then he’s shaking like a leaf after the shot. Glad you guys put Walker in the video as he was a really nice guy and a good sport. I hope his reward is a great buck too !

Aaron let's the southern loose when talking to the guys from the south. It's cool that he can speak undetected. We tried some tough hunting this week and the locals spotted our accent a mile off. Haha. All the people were great.

@@Babydaddypodcast it’s definitely LG. Look at the parking spot and the drains. I know where they parked and hunted. I think they had a muzzleloader because most states only allow true muzzleloaders so it’s just easier for them to carry that.

Honey and peanut butter sandwich for the win. A tip to make them more enjoyable is to put the honey on first and then the peanut butter. This sequence allows you to seal off the edges of the bread with peanut butter do the honey does not drip off the back side while eating.

Fortunately I was at home when I discovered the tire shop did the same thing to me- used an impact set so high that I couldn't get the lugs loose with a four-way. I grabbed a pipe- then packed the pipe in the back of the SUV, so the other 3 wheels couldn't get me stranded like Aaron.
Waydago fellas and lets all hope that Walker get a good one. He clearly could have shot that buck if he had been using a ML. Best of Luck Walker!

I think it would be pretty hard to judge a 15" spread on the hoof unless it was pretty close. I'm all for antler restrictions, but I think the 3 on 1 side is easier to determine in the moment.
In Texas it's a 13" spread. You judge that based on the width of the deer's ears tip to tip, that is about 13" wide so if the spread is wider than the ars, it's a legal buck. I'm guessing it's similar whenever they were hunting.
Just say out side the ears and call it legal
That’s easy to do when they are eating corn at your feeder, but not so easy when you are getting glimpses of them through the brush.

Congrat Warb!! Great buck! Great when a plan works out. Just a tip you probably know already for southern thick stuff. After you shoot don’t take your eyes off of him. Get your phone and use the compass to shoot an azimuth to where he lays. Just keep walking whatever degrees to find him easier.

I have the same muzzleloader as you. And it has been my great equalizer this season. Never took a deer and tried my hardest during bow. But that muzzy helped me harvest my first ever buck let alone a deer

@@russellwatters5891 In that situation though? The deer walked away from the guy and right to Warb... not like they "shot it out from under him" - either way its dumb if people get mad over that on public land
@usernamehere6061 Especially on public land. I've witnessed it 3 times in Wisconsin, on CRP fields, where somebody shot at/hit a deer, and someone else killed it, not knowing the circumstances. Some ppl don't belong in the woods, and especially with a firearm. Now Walker did say the deer went by him at close range, but we as viewers didn't know that until afterwards. I'm glad it ended the way it did is all I'm saying.

Five of us hunting. Huge acorn crop. Only one buck down. Heard about half the gun shots I normally hear on opening day. Deer are bedding and feeding in the same spot. Several doe went in the freezer. Life is good.

Tire shops are terrible about hammering lug nuts on with their air impact until you can’t get them off with hand tools. They will also ruin/warp your rotors by doing this! Insist that they use a torque wrench on your lug nuts, or at a minimum a torque stick on their impact!
