While I have visions of a whole 16th-century-inspired outfit for my guy, I think the doublet is all I can handle for this season. But how should we accessorize him to take things up a notch? Edit: Just so you know, I am no longer affiliated with Norse Tradesman, so my coupon code is no longer valid and has been removed from the video description.
😃Oooo, how *fun!!* How about adding a rakish,3 or 4-inch wide finger-woven sash?👌 for a Romani/Traveler/Buccaneer vibe? Wrap 2-3 times around his waist with enough length to tie a "pocket" too. Idk...Maybe a soft leather satchel instead; worn across his chest diagonally, naturally. Very Renfest! :) I love how you take your creativity out on your husband 😁 You're so thoughtful about the details, and his comfort. I'm sure he loves that this is your nature.💕 Nice video!
He is a GREAT sport! And you are to be much appreciated for making him a fun doublet for him to participate with you. It's always more fun to be silly together. Having someone who can, and is willing to make things for you is a blessing.
It's true, the list of people I sew for is pretty short! But, it also ensures that he will dress up because he has been involved in the process and has seen the work I put into it.
Yes! Let's be honest, completely historical accuracy would be out of place at a Ren faire where there are fairies, Vikings, Queen Elizabeth the first, and Robin Hood are all happily co-existing 🤣

“Not complete historical accuracy but more of…a vibe” Yes I love this energy

You did a great job!😊
How fun is it to sew for other people 🪡🧵 beautifully done. Hope you two have fun at the fair!
Slowly branching out and learning how to work with others...
We're really looking forward to it!
The block print stamp is a cool technique, it turned out great!
Thanks, I think it's a good way to fake a finer fabric when you don't have brocade!
I love the thumbnail! 😍😍 the drama ! The romance!!!
Oh good! I went a bit romance novel-ish with it, but I hope people like it haha
Cheers to your great sport of a husband!
I'll let him know the people appreciate his sacrifice
