    I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time away from your business to make these wonderful videos that detail your skilled repairs. I own a number of pairs of Allen Edmund shoes. A few years ago I came to the realization that leather soled AE’s were not best suited for Canada’s wet coast. The leather soles don’t dry well enough and I actually got mold in my shoes in one case. I ended up getting a new pair of shoes at a discounted price(thanks AE) and some cedar treees. I requested the soles receive the Dainite treatment. Red Dainite looks so nice against black and brown leather shoes. Adding a little colour to the thread and laces make for a really fun shoe. Most of my shoes now have Dainite soles from Allen Edmonds. I really like the layered heel colours in this video. I have a pair of shoes done just like that. Great job on the 2.0 boots!

    Nice informative video. I like the new angle showing your face. I agree that the overhead angle shows the work better and at first I thought you were going to introduce the project from the new angle and proceed with the work at the overhead angle. You have an engaging conversational style so it really enhances the effect to see you as you do the work. Mixing it up with different camera angles might be a way to keep your videos fresh and interesting. Anyway you do it is fine with me. Keep up the good work!

    I found AE supports their products. I had a pair come through with some bad sole stitching. They were replaced immediately. I dare say if there ever was a problem AE would step up to he base.

    Is it common for a cobbler to hire someone who hasn't had any experience with the craft? Or is more of an inconvenience? Would it be smart to take some type of leather working or shoe repair class before attempting?

    • @CobblersPlus
      @CobblersPlus  4 года назад +1

      It depends on the cobbler. It is hard to teach someone from the beginning but it’s even worse having someone who knows how to do the work but does a poor job of it so kind of a risk with that

    Great job as usual as for Allen edmonds shoes are ok I never seen any other brand that has so many defects and flaws like Allen edmonds even shoe sizes full of flaws one shoe bigger than the other that's why you guys trying to promote the brand I guarantee you that you don't find any flaws or any defects with Alden or any other brands I haven't it's a shame how you people trying to mislead your subscribers and Allen edmonds shoes are not stylish at all look at the sole of the shoes it's half inch hanging out if you see the stylish high quality shoes the sole it's so close to the top I'm pretty sure that you know that only grandpa shoes have soles hanging out like that cheers.

      Look we aren’t miss leading anyone.
      Every single company out there no mater the price point has shoes in there line up with something wrong with them because they are still hand made to some level. A brands worth is determined by how well they respond to the problems. But for the price point AE footwear is at it can’t be matched and yes obviously there are brands that are better but and a completely different price point and not everyone can afford them so we recommend the best footwear that someone who may just be starting out in QWY footwear and it’s the perfect brand to start someone on there path to quality footwear

      Lucky Strike: I have three pair of AEs purchased on sale or seconds-love the shoes. If there are defects, I’ll fix that when soles wear out.

      It's funny how you don't see anyone promoting Alden or any other good shoe brand wounder why except Allen edmonds because it's gone downhill people who love shoes and know shoes they know better is there any other high quality shoe brand that has a factory seconds nooooo there goes my point. Cheers

      @@LuckyStrike-ov9cd I'm not sure you realize what this channel is about. This is an actual cobbler at his actual shop repairing actual client's shoes. If you have a grievance with a certain brand of shoe, simply don't buy them. Or take it up with that shoe company. Or just tell your friends and family your opinion of those shoes. (I can't stress enough that it's YOUR OPINION. Not a fact.) But this channel doesn't promote anything aside from their own services and skills. Maybe don't watch their videos if shoes trigger you so easily.
