Dang, sure wish I'd found your channel sooner. What a cool little hike into the brush just to sip tea and puff a pipe. Found myself yearning to do the same. Thanks for sharing brother.
Had to watch this a few times already, really love your videos, particularly this one! I love gloomy, overcast weather and it's the perfect environment to smoke a pipe in!
Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed this video. I’ll admit I do spend a certain amount of time on my videos, so it’s always nice to hear from those who notice. Take care!!
Glad you enjoyed it. I have several more pipe/nature videos on my channel if you care to check them out. Holland is on my bucket list of places to see, so maybe one day. Thanks for watching!
Trailing The Woolly Mammoth Awesome, I’m glad you liked it! It’s always good to hear from a fellow pipe smoker. I appreciate you stopping by and for watching, take care!!
Paleoman52 Hey Ken, thanks for tagging along with me. Hopefully, I’ll get out and post more videos now that the weather has cooled off. It’s good hearing from you bud, hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
What a cool idea for your tobacco canister. I made a deer antler tamper from a point & have carved a couple of wood tampers from mesquite wood ! Keep up the videos.😎
Yep, that canister was made from a piece of mesquite. One of the prettiest woods out there. I’ve also made a few tampers out of deer antlers as well. Great minds think alike, huh? Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. I’m sure you’ve looked, but I have several other pipe smoking videos on my channel if you care to watch them as well. Take care!
Thanks for the sub! I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos. I does take a certain amount of time and effort to film and edit everything down, so it’s always nice to hear from people who appreciate it. Take care and keep your pipe full!
Every Summer I feel like Texas is another planet, especially this one, been breaking heat records every week. Definitely wish I had mountains and lush green forests here. The Texas landscape can be an acquired taste for sure. Thanks for stopping by and watching, I appreciate it!
Southeast Texas fella rite here, did most of my time in the woods of the Sabine River . I could jump in the river from in front of the house an swim across an be in Louisiana. Now at 50 have many great memories of days spent on the bank with a pole in the water wondering what life is all about. Enjoyed Hoss 😉
Awesome man! Love the same stuff when the weather cools. I grow a beard, grab my pipe and hit some trails. I like Sutliff 504C and Burma Road. Got to make me a pipe kit. Good job.
I’ve liked most of the Tobaccos that Sutliff makes, Molto Dolce being my favorite. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for stopping by and for leaving a comment.
Understand being out by myself but I car camp by myself but I love to smoke a pipe & have a cup of tea or coffee. I live in the Southwest desert & have to drive to get to the pines in Az. & Southern Utah. Love that Cream Belue tobacco!👍👍
Nice one man, beauty pipe and times…. I made a tamper EXACTLY like that once, out of wood, but tobacco stuck to it, still good tho. Czech pipe tools now, great and cheap.
Wannabe Bushcrafter Yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve gotten out and made a video. Our Summers are brutal, so I’ve just been waiting for the weather to turn cold. Glad you stopped by and checked it out. Take care!
I love Fall, I sure wish we had more of it down this way. Glad you enjoyed the video, I sure appreciate you watching and for leaving a comment. Take care, and keep your pipe lit!
Race Blakhart I’m glad you liked it. I do spend a certain amount of time filming and editing my videos, so it’s nice to hear when someone notices. Thanks for watching!
On the Trail with Dale indeed! I don't think most people have any clue how much work goes into editing. Not to mention all the thought that goes into working the camera. It doesnt often occur to people what kind of effort goes into the things they watch.
mark lee Yes sir, those are all cool places. And I agree, Enchanted Rock is better in the Fall/Winter, but most things in Texas are, haha. Went one time in July and it was ridiculously hot, won’t make that mistake again. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!!
This is a great video. I appreciate you sharing the beautiful weather and views. Try suttliff vanilla custard and peter stokkebye pistachio. Some great blends if your interested. Blessings from Gettysburg Pa. keep em’burning and enjoy the trail.
Thanks for stopping by and for watching! Yes, Sutliff’s vanilla custard is really good. It’s one that’s in my rotation as well as their creme brûlée, but I’ve never tried Stokkebye pistachio. I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for the recommendation...keep your matches dry and your pipe lit!
Right on! Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. I have quite a few more pipe related videos on my channel as well, feel free to check them out. Take care!
Pipefool -Hey, thanks for stopping by and for subbing. I checked out a few of your videos and liked the whole vibe of your channel...I gave you a sub, take care, bud!
I think I'd have a tough time keeping up with you trecking through the woods, I'm a slow walker lol that little canister is really nice, never been much of a pipe smoker, picked up cigarettes a few months back after over 3 years of none, gotta get back on track & drop them once & for all, good to see a video from y'ou bro
Brooksy's Nomadic Adventures Hey Brooksy! Yeah hopefully I’ll get out and make more videos now that the weather has cooled off. The woods just aren’t fun in the Texas heat. Oh, and don’t worry Brooksy, I’m not that fast, the camera just makes it look that way, haha! The Ol pipe does make me slow down and enjoy my surroundings from time to time. It’s good hearing from you bud!!
JackCrafty Hey Patrick, good to hear from you, bud! Gotta say I️ was really impressed with that Snaketown point you made a couple weeks ago. Don’t think I’ve seen a point quite like that before. I️ sure appreciate you stopping by and checking out my video. Take care!!

Never was good at being an occasional smoker.I got some freight train bred into me.lol I like smelling those pipe backers though. You ever inhale any of it? I suppose it would make a man loopy headed til he got use to it.:>) I rather enjoy fall myself.Everybody seems to wind down as it gets cooler, thats when I like getting out the more.Traffic is lower at the lake too.Theres days that I have the whole lake to myself. Not so when its warm.
FlintSpall Man, I️ hear you, I️ usually stay indoors once Summer comes around. Texas Summers are brutal. I️ come out of hibernation once Fall arrives. Hopewellmj Hey buddy, yeah we did get a dusting of snow the other day. Funny how quick the seasons change. The cold weather is a welcome change though, and yes, I’ll keep the pipe close 😁. Take care, man!
A jar of whole leaf, Ceylon tea (nothing fancy any Turkish shop kilo bag will do). and a quality English mix (squadron leader i'd suggest for casuals) in your bag for autumn hikes. Just put a two finger pinch in the cup, and boom. Thank me later.
