Hi Bob. Thanks for telling me about this video. Ours say net ready, but we haven’t got that box or control panel. I will look into upgrading it, depending on the cost of course. I must say your motorhome looks fantastic. 👍
Many thanks Wiggy and you’re welcome. The gas monitor that fits to the bottom of your ‘live’ gas bottle, and is part of the app, has also been v useful. Thank you too re the moho - we’re loving moho life and of course I love tinkering 😁🎉
Hi, I have just binged watched your Croatia vlogs and will plan in most of the stops you have done when we go away. The info on the truma is great I will try to find my box tomorrow did I miss the bit about finding what gas you have left or is that on another video. Once again thanks for all your great work
Many thanks indeed for watching Steve - you'll have an amazing time!! In total we used around 8kgs of gas from that 13kg bottle so came home with the 6kg left untouched plus the remainder of the 13kg. My next 'gas test' will of course be staying off grid perhaps in a hot country and having to run the fridge more on gas. You can apparently run the fridge on setting 1 or 2 if on gas to keep consumption low but in France this year I'm going to run a couple of usage tests for this - and make a film about it !! :)) Our thanks again Steve :)
Many thanks Alex - doesn't your wi-fi have a SIM - out of interest? My old car had built in wifi but did have a SIM hidden away :) I bought a cheap SIM as a PAYG for the iNet and once it's first month was done it obviously didn't send messages back to me but I have been able to send heating instructions to it without a problem ever since as it is still live for receiving only so no further expense :))
Yes, it's quite a stupid solution when you think it's part of a tens of thousands of euros vehicle. It should've allowed you to either insert a sim or connect to a wi-fi of your choosing, like every other device in the motorhome (tv, laptop, infotainment display, phone, etc).
Enjoyed the film, and your channel in general. You both have a nice relaxed way of explaining things in the van, sorry motorhome :) and the local area's you visit. Was you a bit disappointed on the way you had to access the unit and the cable management in the there?
Many thanks indeed Paul for those very kind words - it makes it sooo worthwhile to hear that!! On the second point - YES - such a weird place to put a Bluetooth device that needs ‘a press’ to pair with it!! It must have been designed by a non techy!!! Our thanks again Paul and plenty to come of course !! 😁☀️🚌
Hi, enjoying the videos, not been motorhoming long so info you give is helpful. Didnt bother with setting up the inet when we got the motorhome as told truma not working on the app. Anyway, gave it a go, managed to set up the bluetooth but every time i go onto remote control it tells me no devices found, any idea why? Thanks in advance
Hi Tim, Sorry I've only just seen the comment, and question, you added to this thread. Did you resolve your problem with the connection? (Many thanks for watching !)
Hi Bob, thanks for another brilliant video. I have set mine up now in the 79 following your video. My inet box was in a different position to yours behind the panel. Seems a crazy place to have put it. We have the hab air conditioning as well and as a bonus have found this is also controlled by the box so I am wondering if Marquis repositioned it. They have positioned it higher so I cannot get a sim card in, which I had bought ready. Now on bluetooth but I am wondering if the connection will last or I will have to keep taking the panel off if the connection gets lost, or I may look at repositioning it a bit lower or ask Marquis as it is still in warranty. So now have the heating, water, air con and rather expensive gas monitor controlled by the app. Just a quick question if you do not mind. I have noticed since having the MH that when I open the gas locker I can always smell gas. Marquis have checked it and said there are no leaks. A 6kg bottle does not seem to last long off grid. I have now just changed to one 13kg and one 6kg bottle. Have you experienced anything at all with a smell of gas. Paul
Many thanks for your feedback Paul and very glad you've got connected :) Yes it certainly isn't the best place and not good that you can't get to the SIM slot :( If it's too much of a stretch then Marquis might well assist - fingers crossed. Once I connected the phone it's never dropped it's pairing so hopefully you will have the same experience now connected - yes the gas monitor isn't cheap but still working and great that the AC connects :)) Re the gas question yes occasionally smelt gas in the locker area and also checked for any leaks, as a result of that - like you, but found no leaks. If it is winter and off grid then heating, water refrigeration and cooking is a big draw on the gas and you may well use a 6 kg in a few days. That's one reason I swapped to a 6 and 13kg for Europe as the fridge and BBQ plus warm water, will probably use a fair bit in the hot weather. I've just acquired some European gas bottle adaptors so that if my 6kg runs out I'll put that in the garage, swap to the 13 and buy a French 'Antargaz' or similar 6kg for when/if the 13kg runs out, and then we can just add the adapter, so the existing pig tails fit the French bottles, and not worry about running out if usage is heavy as there are plenty of stockists around France for Antargaz etc. This is the alternative to getting underslung refillable gas container so we'll see how that goes this year in France for 6 weeks :)
Hi Bob and Nicky! Hope you are both well. I googled a query with the Truma inet and up you came! You know I'm an IT dunce. My query is; I've found a good deal for a SIM pay as you go but it wants the phone number it will be used with. .. where will I find that Bob? X x
Hi Jackie, I've pinged you a Messenger for a catch up if that helps - the SIM you have bought, with it's own number, will be in the iNet box and it will communicate with your own mobile number, once you have set it up in the app, if you want to send it texts when out of Bluetooth range of the van. If you are WITHIN bluetooth range you won't need a SIM card. X
Just discovered the our channel and have subscriber. Great video on the iNet device. I have not set mine up in 2 years but will now do so thank to your great instructions. Just to confirm - you bought a cheap pAYG sim and even after the pAYG ran out, it still enabled you to communicate away from the van? Except not messaging anymore. Thanks again!
Many thanks indeed Glyn for your lovely message and glad it was of use :)) Yes to that question as well - my SIM can’t send texts back to me but the instructions I send to the iNet all work still. I initially had to put a standard fiver or tenner credit on the SIM when I set it all up but never topped up since 😁🎉
Hi again, can I pick your brains please? Trying to set up my iNet box with a SIM card. Found a 3 sim that came with the van, put some credit on it and inserted in the slot. The app asks for the sim PIN number but I don’t have it! Called 3 at great expense and they gave me 3 possible pins to try, all failed! 3 said that the sim is working and that my iNet box is defective which I dispute because everything works on Bluetooth. Just wondered if you experienced this issue? It doesn’t let me leave the pin field empty either. Might have to just go buy a new SIM card. Thanks for listening!
@@glyntimmins8929 I'd definitely try a new SIM before delving any deeper into 3 world!! It should fire up straight away - mine did :)) Good Luck and any time ! :)
@@motorhomingadventures thanks. For info, after asking the Autosleeper community I’ve managed to get it sorted. Deleted and reinstalled the App. Rebooted the iNet box and hey presto everything worked! Thanks again.
Thanks for watching Frank and I don’t think so. I’ve just popped out to check and the time is 3 minutes out and I can send it a message without it changing the time. The app has no facility to send a new time in the settings function. Having said all that it’s 3 minutes out over 18 months and thinking back I did change it at BST etc 😁

Sad they don't allow the connection in thebU.S., but have the inet ready logo. 🤔

So, if my Truma control panel has inet ready on it (which it does), somewhere in my van the little black box is hidden?
