- FIRST LOOK: The Tacoma TRD PRO is all new from Toyota for 2024. On the outside you will find a wider body, all new sheetmetal, bed & wheels. On the inside you will be greeted by a figutal gauge cluster, 14in infotainment screen & special seats. I feel like Toyo put even more love into this Tacoma redesign than they did on the Tundra's
They sell more tacos
Cause they sell more Tacoma’s than Tundra’s. The Tacoma dominates the market for small pickup trucks. It’s been the best selling vehicle in its class for like 2 decades. Toyota certainly wants to keep it that way. Especially with the current generation Tacoma really starting to show its age. Toyota is putting their heart and soul into this remodel.
The new Tundra looks horrible. So ugly!

Great detailed overview with a smooth delivery that doesn't sound like a boardroom presentation! I figured with none of the reviews showing the back seat of the TRD Pro that Toyota was restricting reviews on it. Joe and Lori you both are crazy! Just watched all these and came back to this one to comment. This TRD Pro is the best truck in the line-up with the Limited being a very close second. It's mind-blowing how excellent the 2024 Tacoma is, and I'm really digging that seat suspension technology. I am a GMC Canyon Denali lover but Toyota knocked it out of the park!

WOW!!! Toyota, you knocked it out of the park with this design!! The standard sunroof size is fine with me. At least there's a sunroof (I'm looking at you Ford Ranger)...and hope there's rear air vents...again, looking at you Ranger! Thanks a bunch Joe for this pleasant surprise!!!!

People always say Toyota is always behind and slow in bringing out new technology. I think it’s for a good reason. Wouldn’t be surprised if all the years waiting for a new redesign of a Tundra or Tacoma they spent testing these new engines making sure their reliable. Toyota just doesn’t throw stuff out there in a hurry like other automakers. I will definitely be getting one of these.

Been waiting for the 4Runner to be redesigned. Seeing as the Sequoia essentially is the SUV version of the Tundra, this Tacoma gives me an idea on what the redesigned 4Runner will look like…..

The new redesigned Tacoma so far looks awesome! Thank you for the early sneak peak of the truck Joe and Lori! For being the TRD Pro, I'm not liking the amount of gloss black they dumped on the exterior. The detachable JBL bt speaker is awesome! I cant wait for the full throttle review of thes truck!

These would be considered full-sized trucks in the 90's. Trucks got too damn big. Anyways, the Taco is all someone needs.
Only problem is they’re not much cheaper then full-size trucks.
Ford is the only one that made an ugly mid size for the new gens.

Toyota hit the nail on the head. Best looking midsize truck in my opinion. I might get a Tacoma instead of a full size truck .

Great stuff joe. I think Toyota nailed it. Do you know if the isometric seats are optional? I think it’s cool but it’s going to reduce rear legroom. Hoping we can order a TRD pro with a more normal front seat.

Finally, an exterior and interior update to compete with the others! and the back of the front seats are too sick! Not overly enthusiastic about it being a 4 cylinder but thats the way the segment is moving. Upgraded HP and Tq is nice though from the hybrid. Looking forward to the driving review. Thanks Joe!
Hybrids dont need a big engine. The whole idea is to burn less fuel. The engine is basically just a generator to keep electricity flowing for charging batteries. Although, I am super disappointed with the still poor gas mileage

But this TRD Pro offers front sway disconnect, hybrid, more payload and 1000 lb.
Higher tow rating. Throw in the vastly better mpg for daily driving, more reliable...Pretty easy Choice....And I'm a Ford guy.
Its not hard at all really. The Tacoma is the king. Especially with a 6.5' bed on the other trim. Ford makes absolute junk and there's no arguing that with not just my experience, but by their rampant recalls, and GM is boring now. The Taco is it.

I currently own a gmc AT4X in dynamic blue it’s a great truck but very very big. I’m loving this new Tacoma trd pro and thinking of trading it in for that once it goes on sale.

Wow that thing looks MEAN!!! I am not typically a truck guy but I like the Tacoma! Sadly Forza Horizon 5 is the only way I can go off-roading in one! 2019 model year. It does really good on the rally tracks!

Toyota has done it!. Looks, powertrain, drivetrain, interior, and features!!!. Tacoma definately wins the interior ergonomics and exterior looks but to each his own.
Wow ! TRD pro, Ranger Raptor, Colorado ZR2. They each have their own unique good looks, features, and characteristics, along with impressive power plant numbers, weight capacities, and towing capabilities. Having owned a Toyota, Ford, and Chevy over the years it almost seems like one couldn’t go wrong with either of the three. Granted there's some give and take for each one of these, but for me, if I saw each of these trucks sitting together side by side I would definitely have to pick the ZR2 based on its looks. It has a look that I really like over the other two. Not to mention the features and numbers of the ZR2 are still impressive and competitive when compared with the other two for a mid-size truck. When it comes down to it, it's just a matter of personal taste and preference. My orders in for the ZR2 👍😎

The ranger is absolute trash and looks like it belongs in the early 2000s. The ZR2 looks okay but the depreciation on chevys hit harder than a bullet
@@eddyrivera7287 agreed, however the Chevy resale isn’t anywhere near the Toyota it is better than ford or the others in the midsize market. Chevy resale has never been bad I’ve sold many.
The biggest winners are the dealerships, they are salivating at “market adjustments” on the top end models👺
Sharp looking truck. I love the look of the new GMC Canyon, but this thing looks just as good, if not better.

@@FrameRot Right? Like I'm cool with seeing higher spec models, but not when they cut into the regular trucks. They are already struggling to keep up with demand across the board, they really should be prioritizing their regular vehicles, not their highest trim ones.
If the Maverick has taught us anything, its that the demand for an affordable compact/midsize truck is MASSIVE.
