The bible is full of passages correlating to one another, in this example Jacob wrestling with God and being made a new creation in the process, relates also to those who believe in Jesus christ and are made a new creation in him and through him. It's important we dont pit scripture against one another but rather work to find how they are related. Another example is Stephen in Acts speaking to the Jewish leaders and taking them through history lesson. The word of our God is more powerful than we can even fathom. I decided to learn read the Bible so as watch the stories, it was yesterday that I actually stayed almost the whole night reading and watching the book of genesis. Trying to understand how did everything come about in the Bible. I never knew that Genesis had so much stories n a whole lot of teaching. I had thought that it started with in the beginning of God's creation and ends with Adam and Eve. I never knew about Cain nor Able, although I knew about Noah which I thought it was a story in exodus. 🙈. Am actually pleased to have came across this teaching coz I had ended on the story of Jacob n Euseo as am continuing to go find out about Abraham. The question of reflection to my life as Jacob wrestles the angle. I've realized that I am in conflict with myself and the choices I've made in the past that got m where I am today. Am in a process of transformation as I realize the I used to be to my new self. Self conflicts of finding my new self and letting of me old.

Nowadays, Fathers would want their children to go out & succeed in whatever they want to be because as you well know children are not children forever. I asked god to remove the things that attempt to blind me from the truth. Then I began to hear his lovely voice speak to me. In my time I was losing the sound of his voice from my mind, I was losing his love he showed me. When I was losing his voice I began to hear voices that were telling me other things, but when I heard gods voice is what brought me back to reality.
That only means that is impossible to see God in his true form,the one Adam and Eve were able to see in the Eden. But God definitely took forms over time,to appear in men in a matter that wouldn't harmed them. Jacob was strictly told that he wrestled with God Himself,it is mentioned in 2 occasions in Genesis 32.

Compare Genesis 18 with Genesis 19:1, Exodus 3:6 with Exodus 3:2, and Judges 13:22 with Judges 13:3,13,16 and 21. This was the situation with Jacob. You can see a further clue by comparing a verse in the Jacob account (Genesis 32:29) with Judges 13:17 &18.
God gave Jacob the Strength to wrestle with that Angel. Since the Angel was immortal and Jacob was only a Natural man. There are several other instances in the OT where humans are visited by angels (And the accounts make it clear that it was an angel/s), and the human addresses them, or refers to them after the fact, as God. (Genesis 18 & 19; Judges 13). As the angels were delivering messages from God ,this was not innapropriate. The bible is full of passages correlating to one another, in this example Jacob wrestling with God and being made a new creation in the process, relates also to those who believe in Jesus christ and are made a new creation in him and through him. It's important we dont pit scripture against one another but rather work to find how they are related. Another example is Stephen in Acts speaking to the Jewish leaders and taking them through history lesson. The word of our God is more powerful than we can even fathom. I decided to learn read the Bible so as watch the stories, it was yesterday that I actually stayed almost the whole night reading and watching the book of genesis. Trying to understand how did everything come about in the Bible. I never knew that Genesis had so much stories n a whole lot of teaching. I had thought that it started with in the beginning of God's creation and ends with Adam and Eve. I never knew about Cain nor Able, although I knew about Noah which I thought it was a story in exodus. 🙈.
Am actually pleased to have came across this teaching coz I had ended on the story of Jacob n Euseo as am continuing to go find out about Abraham.

I asked god to remove the things that attempt to blind me from the truth. Then I began to hear his lovely voice speak to me. In my time I was losing the sound of his voice from my mind, I was losing his love he showed me. When I was losing his voice I began to hear voices that were telling me other things, but when I heard gods voice is what brought me back to reality.

@@guarana6245 It is acceptable to address or refer to Angels as God when they come as his representatives bearing his words. Compare Genesis 18 with Genesis 19:1, Exodus 3:6 with Exodus 3:2, and Judges 13:22 with Judges 13:3,13,16 and 21. This was the situation with Jacob. You can see a further clue by comparing a verse in the Jacob account (Genesis 32:29) with Judges 13:17 &18.

God gave Jacob the Strength to wrestle with that Angel. Since the Angel was immortal and Jacob was only a Natural man. Jacob wanted a Blessing from God , and Jacob character was being on display for Jacob character was Perseverance and strength on the inside. So then God changed Jacob name to Israel. Because Jacob persevered against God beyond the impossible. Jacob held on to The Angel for dear life , and would not let him go , despite the Angel who smote Jacob in the Thigh. And Jacob got The Blessing. For Jacob wrestling with God is an example for us in these days and times that if we don't endure to the end like Jesus Christ states , then we will all Likewise Perish. And those who endures to the end the same shall be saved.

@@undrielgrenger53 There is no basis for making that claim. This is supposition. There are several other instances in the OT where humans are visited by angels (And the accounts make it clear that it was an angel/s), and the human addresses them, or refers to them after the fact, as God. (Genesis 18 & 19; Judges 13). As the angels were delivering messages from God ,this was not innapropriate.
Also, in this instance, as another poster bought up before me, you have Hosea 12:4:
"He kept contending with an angel and prevailed.
He wept and begged for his favour. He found him at Bethʹel, and there He spoke with us,"

Patience is an expression of wisdom. It is never wise to follow whims and emotions because this will lead to even greater problems. When we choose to be patient, it allows us to put all emotional influences as bay, and clearly pay attention to a situation. When we choose to be quick to anger, we will end up hurting people and it will be hard to reverse the damage our actions caused.
Prayer
Dear God, I pray that I may be like you, slow to anger and eager to be patient. Father, whenever my emotions try to get the better of me, may you help me keep them at bay. I do not desire to hurt anyone - no matter what they have done to me. May I express your love in all situations, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
