Couple other tips taking fries 🍟 to go from a restaurant to keep them from getting soggy... ☝️ *DON’T CLOSE THE BOX LID ALL THE WAY!! LEAVE THE LID OPEN* and *DON’T TIE OR FOLD THE BAG CLOSED* if the fries or *_ANY_* food you’re taking with you is *_still warm_* when you put them in a “doggy box and/or bag” (that’s what we call it in the south - I’m in GA). ✌️ *OPEN THE BOX IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR FOOD* and make sure to *LEAVE THE BAG OPEN* until you get home if you are picking up a to-go order or going through a drive-thru. We’ve all seen water running down the lid of the boxes when we open them, haven’t we? The reason fries and other fried foods get soggy is because of just that - condensation build up from having warm food boxed up. If warm food isn’t closed up there won’t be condensation to make your fries/or ANY fried food soggy!!

Keep your carbs low for the first part of the day. You’ll feel less inclined to eat, a slice of cheese, small two egg omelette with spinach, humus with broccoli...all good mid morning snacks. Have the carbs in middle of day...like after lunch!
I pray for all the families that are struggling due to not being able to work. And I pray for the people that are having a hard time finding food to eat. God is so good all the time. I so enjoy watching your family and thanks for putting out family friendly videos.
Great tips, Megan Fox! As a senior citizen, I know from experience that menopause can really do a number on our bodies as far as weight gain and it can be tough to take it off. I learned that you have to do your best to head it off at the pass and up your calorie burning. Walking 3-4 miles every day has helped me tremendously, not only physically but mentally. I also do strength training several times a week. (I bought ice cleats for winter walking.) I'm no athlete, by any means, and I'd be the last person to line up for a marathon! You also don't have to starve yourself, but buy healthy groceries and avoid the sugar and processed foods. I was buying groceries yesterday and was dishearted to see what so many people were buying up for the tough times we're in- frozen pizzas, sugary drinks and cereal, chips, hot dogs, balogna, etc. What we put in our bodies is so crucial to long term health! You'll be an old person like me before you know it!
I used to enjoy a cookie with my afternoon tea or morning coffee, but recently I rediscovered social tea biscuits! They're crunchy and satisfying and not too sweet, and less calories than most cookies. When we were little and visiting my gramma, we'd often join her for "tea" or "coffee" (ours was milk in a tea cup or coffee mug!) and she'd always put out social teas to have along with our drinks. A few months ago, I was in the grocery store and found social teas on the bottom shelf of the cookie section and remembered Gramma enjoying them with her coffee or tea. I haven't bought any other cookies since.
Ok so I'm going to thank you for these tips... especially the one about water. I'd never would've thought about throwing a tea bag in cold water. I have a struggle to drink enough water and I think this is going to help me alot. Love your channel, you're 'down to earth'. 😉

I thought I was the only person who thinks that a meat and veggie on the plate is totally fine for a full meal - no carb needed. I sometimes will do rice pilaf or something like that but for the most part, I just cook my family a meat and vegetable or even two vegetables.

Megan, You have given so many practical, sensible tips! I am 68 years old and and was a stay at home, homeschooling mom of 5 children. I have never had a gym membership but have stayed active by living by many of the tips you offered. Also, one thing I started about 25 years ago was to take an early morning walk of a couple miles around my neighborhood. I did it while the kids were still asleep (I am a morning person so that was easy for me to do early). I used the walk as time to pray as well (we didn't have phones for podcasts and music back then, so nod distractions). My husband was going through a depression and I prayed for him a lot during those walks. God used my walks to not only strengthen me physically and spiritually, but after a year of walking on my own, my husband decided to join me. The physical activity actually was part of his healing to come out of the depression! Now, 25 years later we still take daily 2-3 mile walks together! I think it is one of the best habits we have. Thank you for being a voice to this generation of how to live a godly, fulfilling, creative, devoted, relevant, active (!) mom-wife life in today's culture and in a realistic and vulnerable way. .
Hi Megan, I enjoy watching your videos - thanks for making them. Could you tell me where I can find your giant bread stick recipe? I can't seem to find it and I really enjoyed them when I made them before. Thanks and keep well x

Just be active. No bells and whistles, fancy clothes or gadgets. Be moderate without force and too much impact. Our bodies are supposed to last, and not break down during midlife. I speak from experience, too much wears the body down and results in early arthritis. don’t force water, your body knows when it’s thirsty. Eat everything in moderation with the exception of allergies. Too much emphasis is placed on looks and size. After all, our bodies are designed by our perfect maker, our taste buds are there for a reason. Don’t obsess!!!!
Love this vidio. Thanks Magen. Definitely got me motivated. I would consider myself a fairly healthy person and quite active but I have an extremely hard time Losing weight. It seems just getting married made the big difference in my weight. It's a big thorn in my flesh. In those 4 years I gained another 40 lbs. Of those 80 lbs I have lost 30 in the past 6 to 8 months and still hoping and praying that I can lose at least another 30lbs. Great tips in this vidio

I have another tip to stay away from fast food. Don't leave house hungry. Keep carrots, apple, or and/or nutrition bars in the car. Those keep a long time and can nibble on until you get where you are going
I just ordered a Fitbit! I told you you inspire me! As always, thank you so much! And, the infused water thing I will try too...I do drink zero water, etc., because I do enjoy drinking as opposed to eating.
Hi Megan! Like you a lot! Yeah, that's also myself at the getting- dressed- in the morning part! The moment I get out of bed and see the sun shining, I just can't get my pyjamas off fast enough! Haha! Keep up the good work, and especially never quit serving the Lord! ❤

Now I want to get outside and do something on this beautiful sunny day! Cut the yard yesterday...maybe wash the car today! Thanks Happy quarantine! Stay safe everyone! Use common sense, be healthy, wash your hands and don't forget to thank God for His blessings! Have a great day!!

I had the same stroller. It was the best. I do recommend it too. Still, I can't compare it to other strollers more expensive 'cause we had none of those.
Not on topic (sorry) but wondering if anyone has recommendations for good bible study programs and/or streaming church services? I live in a very small town and I'm not finding our local churches suiting me any more so I'm taking the current situation as an opportunity to explore my options.
Pilgrim Ministry website has sermons on there. They are Mennonite and I love them. Some good speakers are Jonny Miller, Victor Ebersole, Stan Martin and David Mast. I use discretion with anyone preaching and recommend you do the same (some sermons we have to turn off...). Enjoy 🤗
If your nursery is upstairs refuse to have an area to change the babies downstairs. It’s amazing how many steps you can add to your day just changing diapers. And bonus, it’s extra cardio 😜
I found myself agreeing to everything you said, Megan. Seriously 😁👌 Recently I had to completely change my diet because of some digestive issues and it's been tough. But I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and by His stripes I am healed! Glory to God! My best advice would be to make small changes and be consistent. Do what you can in whatever stage of life you are 👍
@@MeganFoxUnlocked Aww you are so sweet, I know that'll make me do more of them as I believe even the bible talks about how our thoughts about ourselves and others attract these vibrations... I can't explain it better than this...ruclips.net/video/uCIgxYuNGu0/видео.html
I'd like to add a tip. I want to say to busy moms, remember to eat. Sometimes the day is so busy that we get to the later part of the day and then we start feeling weak and then it hits. Oh I need to eat something. Or you realize that you are so very hungry that you want to grab and eat everything in sight. Maybe plan little bits to grab and go, healthy of course. That will also help keep blood sugar stable. Which help in weight loss and staying healthy.
Would love to see what you put in your water! I have 3 toddlers sometimes it’s a challenge getting out to exercise so iv had to learn how to do in mainly from home!
Oh in the US you can take your food home from restaurants, I forgot. Are there countries in Europe where you can as well? In France and Holland you can't..
Please don’t do this! Oils do not dissolve or mix into water. As you drink, those oils are coating your throat. You can seriously damage your esophagus.
Ok I'm back lol, I have a fitbit also, best investment ever! I love that I can weat mine doing dishes as well it's made to use while you swim, which I have done. Yes yes yes, do the tea infused or water video..pleeeeeze lol
YES! Stay active! The best chance of an easy labor is to be healthy. Don't wear yourself out but walking, swimming, even workouts are great. I wouldn't add strenous activity if you're not used to it, but I was working my abs out before I was pregnant, so I kept it up during pregnancy. It helped my baby to not pop out so much. I was not uncomfortable being pregnant.
Hello again (now that I actually finished watching ;) ) Great video, awesome tips! My biggest one for ppl who want to drink more water is - drink the water in small sips through the day, not 2 litres 10 min before bedtime. That way you are actually hydrated and don't get woken up 70 times during the night to go to the bathroom. I will try doing some small exercises as I wait for things to cook, etc. :) The water recipes will be a great video, if you ever decide to film it. I'm a fan of drinking a lot of water too, so learning ways to mix it up with new flavours would be great.:)
Agree 100%. FitBit is the best thing I ever bought for myself! It really motivated me to move more. I started small, 5 minutes a few times a week. Now I'm at 15 minutes 3 times a week, and an hour on the weekends! The mint trick is also great. I'm trying to eat less chocolate and have noticed that changing the taste with something minty actually stops me from eating the whole bar in one sitting :P

You've changed how you pronounce "favorite"?! I loved the different sound of your pronunciation.
Strawberry + basil lemonade is the best!!!
Give me the rice...lol I think we could eat rice like almost every day...lol and in case your wondering no I aint no mom but I still watch and enjoy. We love good family values in our home!
I would love to see a flavored water recipe video!
Thank you for this video!!!
Haha..I totally understand the tip about eat the real food...sometimes I am wanting something and i will find myself eating lots of foods/snacks trying to stop the craving...lol..just give me the chocolate...lol😁🤩
how long is your hair? I’ve only seen it up. Do mennonites have to have their hair up? Btw it always looks so beautiful up!!!!
Another great video, thank you!
Thanks Megan, this video came in perfect timing for me.
Great video thanks for the tips 😊
Will you be doing more DITL videos? I love watching those while I doing my housework .
Yup! Next weeks video!
I had the same stroller. It was the best. I do recommend it too. Still, I can't compare it to other strollers more expensive 'cause we had none of those.
Try the uppa baby vista stroller. We had that one and the kids can both see out.
Love your videos. Thank you!
Not on topic (sorry) but wondering if anyone has recommendations for good bible study programs and/or streaming church services? I live in a very small town and I'm not finding our local churches suiting me any more so I'm taking the current situation as an opportunity to explore my options.
Hey guys, help her out. Anybody know any? I know Ashley from Til Vacuum Do Us Part shares links to her church!
I like to listen to John MacArthur's messages at ruclips.net/user/JohnMacArthurGTY
Enjoy 🤗
So many great tips.
If your nursery is upstairs refuse to have an area to change the babies downstairs. It’s amazing how many steps you can add to your day just changing diapers. And bonus, it’s extra cardio 😜
Great ideas even for us tired moms of older children! 😉
Pineapple, basil and mint water is so good. Peanut butter and nut butter are great !
I'm watching this as I catch my breath from doing a 15 minute high intensity workout! lol
Thanks for sharing!!!!
I found myself agreeing to everything you said, Megan. Seriously 😁👌
Recently I had to completely change my diet because of some digestive issues and it's been tough. But I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and by His stripes I am healed! Glory to God!
My best advice would be to make small changes and be consistent. Do what you can in whatever stage of life you are 👍
I love that your tips are very realistic.. I only work out in the house I rarely do it outside. Well done mama. Team squats hehehe
Love it! I'll think of you next time I'm doing squats!
U R Amazing Megan !
Great tips Megan!
Where did you get your glass plates you had in your video? So cute!! 🤗
It's from the Corelle store!
I have essential oils that are safe to take internally. I love adding them to my drinking water!- the Mrs
What happened to the puppy chow recipe? I've never heard of it before. 😍
I noticed further in the video the dress is black, so pretty!
Yup!
Thanks for the tips love them.🙂❤
I’m inspired! Any tips for pregnant mamas? I’m 12 weeks along :)
Megan Fox Unlocked thank you!
Do infused water recipes!
Great video 💕🌸
Hello again (now that I actually finished watching ;) ) Great video, awesome tips! My biggest one for ppl who want to drink more water is - drink the water in small sips through the day, not 2 litres 10 min before bedtime. That way you are actually hydrated and don't get woken up 70 times during the night to go to the bathroom. I will try doing some small exercises as I wait for things to cook, etc. :) The water recipes will be a great video, if you ever decide to film it. I'm a fan of drinking a lot of water too, so learning ways to mix it up with new flavours would be great.:)
Love this! And yes, I think I'll incorporate more water recipes into more videos.
@@MeganFoxUnlocked thank you - that's so kind of you to say :) yay, can't wait to see the recipes! Thanks!
Where did you get the lids for your ball jars?
I've never heard of puppy chow but I'm pretty sure I know what you are talking about... we call them muddie buddies! It's the best!
Love all your tips
❤️From Mauritius 🇲🇺
Lots of helpful tips there! Thanks!
Great tips Megan! May God Bless.
Good for you! Keep it up!
@@MeganFoxUnlocked By the way, now everyone is searching for things to do at home, so, since you like arts and crafts, maybe you have some ideas to share on that topic. Something to keep oneself or the kids busy. Or maybe some basic drawing classes...
Happy birthday to Fletcher tomorrow, I think. 🎂
