Why does Richmond Raceway no longer run their two Cup races on a Saturday night? Part of the fun and excitement of Richmond Raceway Cup racing was that both events were run under the lights.
The Tony Stewart feud where Tony Stewart basically gets on Darrell Waltrip for saying he was a common denominator in a series of on-track skirmishes, but in my mind, Darrell Waltrip had every right to drop the hand on Stewart.
I looked at some of the incidents with Tony that year and he had every right to be mad. Unfortunately, if you've been involved in numerous incidents, regardless of who's at fault, people will see you as the problem.

Tony was right. I’m old enough to remember “Jaws” in his heyday. He was arrogant, had a big mouth, and was totally obnoxious. A couple really nasty crashes humbled him a great deal. Waltrip knew he was going to push Tony’s buttons live so that’s why he did it.
Full stands, 2 grooves, cars that change over the course of the race, and the ability to pass. All things NASCAR lacks nowadays
Last time I checked, this track had all of these.

Dude Tony's savage roast too Darell before the race xD
If NASCAR wants to fix things, they need to start by looking back to this era for inspiration.
I was at that race when I was 7! This brings back a lot of memories!
Richmond was far and away Junior's best non restrictor plate track in the #8 Budweiser days.
I wish someone at Fox would watch this broadcast and compare it to what they did two weeks ago. This is how you cover a race!
Great race, early 2000's short tracks were known for crashes and lots of side by side racing. This was of course when guys could race side by side.
They still are able to
