My Dad and I went to see them when they came to perform in our city back in 2009. They sang this song and it was amazing. William Lee's son was playing the drums.
As I read the comments, I will agree the timing was off somewhat. The band isn't used to Golden's Granddaughter playing, and I have seen the Oaks several times and even booked them a couple times over the years. Golden is Golden. He sings "behind the beat" on a lot of his stuff and the other 3 have to try their best to follow him. Another newcomer to the country music genre that sings that way is Mo Pitney. I like it, but some musicians hate it because it messes with them.
Ole Willie. Waylon once said in an interview that Willie is just Willie and only God knows what he hears or what lyric he's on. You just gotta play the tempo and he will either catch up or slow down and let you catch up with him. Woop Woop
Such a touching moment with William Lee's granddaughter, such haunting four-part harmonies. Pretty good audio/video for a smartphone (I'm guessing). Thanks for uploading!

How could anyone give a thumbs down to this? If for no other reason than that young girl playing violin with her grandfather. It's worth seeing.
My favorite William Lee song. He's a treasure.

So glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. Agree 100%
Behind the beat, Willie Nelson is the Master.

Mo can sure write some good songs too.

Great song.
Agree completely about the timing...Golden sounds like he's playing the song on a turntable that's going too slowly!
Rest in Peace Joe Bonsall
she did awesome on the violin!
AWESOME!

I really enjoy the Oakridge boys but they were not together at all. You would think they could hear it. Still a thumbs up though!
Good song... Not their best performance though. None of them were in time
Fellows it really needs work.
