// ABOUT ME
My name is Etienne Crete (from Montreal, Canada). I'm a swing Forex trader and help aspiring Forex traders develop a trading method that works for them so they can produce income allowing them to live with more freedom.
I blog at www.desiretotrade.com and host the Desire To Trade Podcast. I was fed up with the “fake” millionaire traders and the “get-rich-quick-trading guys”. That's why you can expect more free content from me than what other people charge for!
If you truly want to succeed in Forex trading, I believe you need to keep working on yourself so you can improve your strengths, but also your weaknesses. Do not focus solely on what you're good at.
// Disclaimer
This video expresses my personal opinion only. Forex trading is risky. Make sure you are ready to trade. Even this will not guarantee you positive results. I am not responsible for any losses incurred due to your trading or anything else. I do not recommend any specific trade or action.

Thank you for trusting me with my truthful and reliable opinion on any future purchase you may make. I always disclose this information when it is the case. As part of the Desire To TRADE family, you allow me to be able to use affiliate/referral links when suggesting items for purchase. As a customer of the products I refer, you help me sustain the time and resources to create content on this channel by generating revenue from your sales. This doesn't affect you in any way in the checkout process (I'm sometimes even able to arrange a discount for you that is special from other customers).
What lesson/story is your favorite from this video?
Tim saying about how he overcame his rule breaking and position size Awsome!!
@@simonwilliams7682 I learned not to stay in the market too long. I noticed its best to log off and leave the market if your account is already +1% or 2% more, to have the account grow more time after time. less is more for beginner/intermediate traders honestly
@@simonwilliams7682 In this case, trendline signals would have been a great place to take profits on a bullish trade that you might have been in, which is how most successful trendline traders use this particular Lukasz wilhelm (IQD Momentum strategy) signal. i too have trade is method that helped me understand how to trade trendline profitable,it is easy, simple, and well understood. Google research is best way out to unlearn bull shit first.
Thanks Etienne for the feature once again. All the best to you :)
It's my pleasure, Karen! Keep it up :)
Both Karen and akils stories are great motivation as well as learning lessons, thanks E
I appreciate it
Very Inspiring. Thank you Etienne for these short segments.. very helpful.
Also, love the opening shot of Positano. I actually stayed on the roof top accommodation of the Big Orange building in the middle of the cliff.. Highly recommend..especially looking down on Positano at night., amazing!. Hopefully my trading can get me back there again.
Very cool! Looking forward to get there as well!
Great inspirational stories. Thank you
My pleasure! I'm glad you liked the video!
ever since i started trading 3 months ago ive worked extremely hard every single day im on the charts minimum 10 hours a day and the rate at which im actually learning even though im not consistent with my profit ive made more then ive lost which is a good sign and im hoping by my 6 months to 12 months i can finally be consistent with my profits pray for me.
Thanks for the comment, Deshawn McClacken! Keep up the good work!
Great trading channel
one of the best
Thank you guys!
Hello etienne really great informational video I have a doubt "will you trade on Monday and Friday or you just neglect and if you do so by finding a valuable setup what was the desired trade result"
I don't trade on Fridays. That's the only rule in that regard.
@@DesireToTRADE thanks etienne
Hi Etienne. I appreciate all the hard work you to making content for your channel. It looks like you have interviewed many traders.
I have one question for you.
Have you come across any one who actually makes a consistent profit from day trading?
Look forward to your answer.
Of course... many! What market are you trading?
I'm trading the major fx pairs. Personally I don't believe day trading is profitable for the simple reason that the cost of trading (spread) becomes too large relative to profit targets. That's the reason why brokers encourage day trading. I might be wrong though.
Who have you come across who day trades successfully?
That's why brokers offers accounts with zero spreads too.
You can check out Kim Krompass and Kevin Hunt: ruclips.net/video/aOLcgr6X9g0/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/P7YsErp-HOI/видео.html
Also, this guy: ruclips.net/video/z5qfpksu1Pw/видео.html
Had a look at Kim Krompass which was interesting. But I see she is promoting a website and making money from selling information. She doesn't provide any evidence that she is a profitable trader.
The Jasperforex guy doesn't seem to be selling anything as far as I can see, other then a few affiliate links. However he does boast about being the number one trader on fxjunction. I'm guessing this was some time ago as his account is no longer listed on fxjunction (nor are any of the runner up accounts on his screen shot!)
Are there any traders out there who actually provide evidence of their profitable day trading?
Do you want to learn from them or just know that they exist? Because those are two different things... I'm assuming you want to learn.
Psychological is the key to being profitable... I'm struggling with this, until now it been hard to achieve consistency! But the answer is never give up, right?
never give up and be patient lmao thats what ive learned evey time i lose money i always tell my self its like a trade i lose money for knowledge so i wont mess up next time just always turn the worst outcomes into a positive and never let anyone tell u otherwise
Hey, 2 years later how’s the journey going?
Good video Etienne
I was thinking about making my goals about trading forex more realistic
Is 50% monthly return unrealistic??
It's possible, but not with proper risk management parameter. This video will help: ruclips.net/video/GKR6gbLp6uI/видео.html
no. i dont think so. there is no guaranteed specific profit
It's definitely possible. I know some people who have had a 100% draw down. So yes it's possible.
The beat in the background is crazy. What’s it called?
In the interview with Tim Sykes?
How do I handle correlation
This way: ruclips.net/video/6SynWBcZqlw/видео.html
Tim sykes no bueno
B/S and lies don't really inspire me.
That's called jumping too fast to conclusions...
