lmao yk I’m actually curious if it would actually smash. My guess is that his fingers would absorb the vibrations and the glass wouldn’t be allowed much room to wiggle itself to death

I've sawn that trumpet guy already on tiktok but seeing someone actually put the musical cords or whatever he sings on it is anoter level of dedication
Jack Teagarden could take the instrument apart just use the slide and water glass and play the same , he does it on Jack Armstrong Blues . Keep blowing it sounded ace
glass shattering from sound happens under only very specific circumstances. From a laymans understanding, basically specifically crystal glass, due to its structure, has a resonant frequency and if you hit that exact note (which is also the note that it rings when you flick it), it causes the glass to vibrate so hard that the material fails. I highly doubt he's using a crystal wine glass , although I do not doubt a talented trumpet players ability to learn to shatter the right glass with their ball busting trumpet chops. I do not know shit about trumpets tho other than that they go honk real good so what do I know?
@@daveprice5911Your laymans understanding is quite accurate! Although if you don't mind, I wanna correct a few things. Everything has a resonant frequency, not just glass, but with glass it's easy to figure out (with the flicking method). Resonant frequencies work like a swing. If you push it too quickly or too slowly, it loses energy, but if you push it at that exact right time, you are adding energy to the system. With glass, you do the same. Other frequencies don't affect it, but the resonant frequency will add energy into the glass until it shatters from internal stresses.
what a resourceful guy, using a glass instead of a toilet plunger
He's a gentleman, not a plumber
I was kind of afraid it would break from all the good vibes coming from the bell 😂
Lol I thought it was a smaller trumpet
This comment truly sent me because I didn't know what i was in for
This is actually what my big band uses lmfao - The conductor said it was cheaper
He would have really smashed it if he finished on the resonant frequency of that glass.
i get it 😂😂😂😂
FOLKS
A comedic genius you are, sir
i almost fell off my chair

Can't wait for someone to point out "That's Stanky Joe in Lamarr's Pub, XY" just by the ceiling, the mirror and the AC Unit.
haha 18 minutes later: @martinlinggajaya "His name is Rio Sidik from Indonesia, I’ve watched him several times since he often plays in my city"
The guy in the video is a person named Rio Sidik. Hes a musician from Bali, i met him regularly in jazz shows!
The fact that he even pitched the "yeah" at the end 💀
That growling note at 0:33 gave me the « AAAAaaahhh» reaction 🔥
that line at 0:38 is one of the nastiest things I have ever heard! 🔥🔥
"I'm gonna need a glass of wine before I play this solo."

just looking at where he is playing makes me wanna chill there
I got goosebumps on me flippin’ goosebumps
Won’t lie. This guy looks like an alternate reality Kirk Hammett, if Kirk picked up the trumpet rather than a guitar. Even got the “wah” 🤣
That was so filthy that I need a shower!
this sound both embodies and heals the ache of existence
Why is it both so sexy and goofy at the same time ?? 😂😂😂
Man, he’s feeling really good
Jack Teagarden could take the instrument apart just use the slide and water glass and play the same , he does it on Jack Armstrong Blues . Keep blowing it sounded ace

This is definitely one of the trumpet solos of all time.

@@bobthegreat297 It's a joke. The word "greatest" has been omitted. You're welcome.
@@bobthegreat297 just an annoying joke that keeps on getting repeated over and over and over again.
Thanks for the transcriptions! Are you able to link directly to each one in the description?
Im surprised that the glass doesnt break from the amount of sound coming out of wit trumpet

Wow! Outstanding!!!!!
I tell my friend about the most traumatizing event of my life
Him: 0:38
If Pingu could sing
If you can see the original vid and without the bottom note thingies, theres a guy behind him and he is TOTALLY fallin in love to this guy
Splendid.
I wonder if stretching his arm forward like that for quite some time affects his breathing. I'm no musician so i know pretty much nothing 😅
It tends to extend the anterior brefeus membranes, so it definitely affects the overall capacity of his lungs
Wah Wah Wahine Glass. Tippable. Just don't break it.
Bravo,Bravo!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Feel that sax in your bones eesh
Is that what they call "a cool cat"?
My GOODNESS, is this stank-city or what?! Tasty treats.
