A lot of Blackbriar songs are about patriarchy and female empowerment, but in the context of a fractured fairytale so it never sounds preachy. For example, _Weakness_ _and_ _Lust_ has Zora saying all the things that men have said about women over the centuries to justify their own issues - yes she's playing a witch, but only in acting out the patriarchal lies. And actually, it goes along well with the song Dashy was talking about. My absolute favourite is _Lilith_ _Be_ _Gone,_ but there's only a simple lyric video for that, which is why I chose this one instead. Always enjoy your reactions, that was £3 well spent! I'd like to suggest a hidden-treasure band that is very underrated and hugely talented, It's Ancient Bards. Might of wanted to listen to older songs of this band for a first time listen. Blackbriar - Until Eternity, Preserved Roses, Snow White and Rose Red . Much more enjoyable for first time of a band to hear older stuff, then go to newer to see the difference.
