      @@olivermejiaa look at the bottom left corner of the wheel arch in the beginning of the video, where the mudflaps usually are. theres no paint left for example, thats pretty bad for such a new car.

    I hope that the owner is going to get the paintwork sorted out.
    With a starting price of 42.5 k, I wouldn't want the bodywork to be peeling!

      @@HarpersCarDetailing I used to know someone that worked for Astin Martin, He said they had no end of returns for paint correction.
      You don't expect such bad workmanship when you're paying a premium price.

      Aston Martins are covered in pig tail sanding marks.
      It tends to be the higher performance and more luxurious cars that are the worst as they are handled a lot more.
      The only cars that come with perfect paintwork, but then they go to a dealership and are washed incorrectly there!

      I know someone who works at a Ferrari dealership. They told me that when new cars come in from the factory the paint is total garbage. They steer the customer to getting a new car detail before they ever see the car. Shocking.

      I try and use as concentrated products as possible, so I’m using small amounts of product. The majority of my cleaning solutions are water based and bio-degradable as I’m absolutely aware of the environmental factors

      Factory wheel for the 2020 3 Performance, only in 2020. The 2018-2019 they were silver, changed to the midnight silver in 2020.

      It basically sends compressed air through an oscillating tip so helps break up the dirt

    7:29 do you use a dedicated brush just for the rubbers around the window as I find the dirt they lift off stains the brush a little until washed.

      No, I use it for multiple jobs.
      Use a strong APC or washing up liquid to wash the brush 👊🏼

    What is the latch-thingi used when cleaning the car window?

      It’s to hold the door open when machine polishing to allow me to get close to the edges.
      I use it to raise the windows as well

    Hi I have recently bought a Boxster but the previous owner must have transported a dog bed in the boot and despite carpet shampooing and an air fresher I can’t get rid of the smell and the carpet section is glued down, any ideas?

      Gary, I’m not sure what shampoo you have used but I could give Valetpro Enzyme odour eater as it removes the organic element of the bacteria, so neutralises it.

      Not great compared to BMW!
      The mats are ok’ish but underneath is really difficult to vacuum compared to BMW

    Nice transformation, do you find the hose on the extraction machine is a bit too short? How long did the detail take to complete, I know you would of been moving cameras etc but an estimate?

      Yes the hose length is awful!
      This was a 1 day detail, so essentially what can be done in 9 hours 👍🏼

      I would in winter as the product would be able to dwell, however if I did this in summer I would run the risk of the product drying out.

    I wonder how ok are the products you use for the environment? I can see it all goes into the soil? I mean it’s all for a car that will do 100 miles and will be dirty again…

      Believe me I’m conscious of what products I use and how much water I use.
      The majority of the chemicals I use are biodegradable and have a high concentration, so I use less product as they dilute very well.

    How do you determine whether you use citrus degreaser prewash or Surfex HD as prewash?

      I tend to use citrus on maintenance so if it is protected by a wax or coating, and surfex on cars that I haven’t seen before and need a little more cleaning power 👍🏼

      I have a painters mask for applying certain ceramic coatings as they are carcinogenic.
      I use non toxic and water based chemicals and try avoid solvent based chemicals.
      It also helps working outside

      Look at the tyre. All tyres have a recommended psi written on them. It goes like this (44.5 psi)

      @@michaelanderson6727 on the tire it states the MAX pressure. Tyre pressure for your car is useally to be found in the door sill. For the Model 3 Performance it’s 2,9 bar (you can google to convert to psi)

    No pre rinse before the TFR?

      No, as there is a risk of spray the dirt into the clear coat.
      The pre-wash softens the dirt which is then safe to rinse away, which is then followed by a foam

      Haha, just to be safe I would always apply a pre-wash degreaser first; even on hard German paint

      There aren’t any scratches, that’s water.
      You can’t wash tar off, you have to
      agitate it.
