Probably your best video to date. Lots of information, hints and tips. Really well edited too. Great job. The only thing I would like to see you also add is the details around your paint corrections. The pads you use, the brand, the size, the brand of ceramic coating, the names of the compounds and polishes you use, the different buffing towel brands etc. Many viewers will be inspired by what you do and if you could help with branding recommendations from your experience etc. it would literally be the perfect video. Please don't take that as a negative though. This is your best material so far and I enjoyed every minute of it. Fantastic work.
Thank you very much! I'll try and do that in my next machine polishing video. I might try and talk to the camera at that stage instead of doing a voice over. I'm glad you've taken something from the videos though!
@@HarpersCarDetailing it feels more immersive when you're talking to the camera rather than over so definitely give it a go! Your videos are always well made and I think taking them to the next level now with hints, tips, advice and recommendations whilst "showing and telling" will definitely help the newcomers to the detailing world. Another nice bit if info (on paint correction videos) would be the time it's taken from start to finish, cure times, how many pads etc.etc. Again please don't take any of this as negative, I love what you do and its just an outsiders opinion looking on that's all! Have a great weekend mate! 😀
It's tricky to talk to the camera when i'm outside as I get funny looks ha. Ok sure, i'll give that a go as well. Don't worry, i'm not taking it as a negative, all constructive feedback is more than welcome :)
It works a treat and saves you constantly chasing your tail. Also ensures that you don't go over the same area again which will unnecessarily remove extra paint/clear coat
Great video, I had my Bentley Continental GTC Mulliner Satin White covered with foil and saved myself time-consuming washes. I only want to have the chrome rims covered with ceramic protection. what would your suggestion be for what should be used. Greetings Christian
Cheers man. I listened back to the video with my earphones in so I could check. Ha, the annoying thing is the buckets are clean however as I need to stack them to put them away they get scratched and marked and look dirty on the inside because of this. It Just seems wasteful to get New ones.
Yes for sure. Bentley and Rolls-Royce have lovely leather and fabric however BMW also have amazing fabric, which is very easy to clean. I tend to find that the higher end the car the more paint defects from the manufacturer there are. The most common defect are pigtails which are created from sanding the paint to flatten it which then isn’t machine polished correctly to remove these pigtails.
Great video as always pal 👍🏻 How do you find using a angled lance compared to a straight one. I’m currently torn between the two and was hoping you could help. Does the angled one lift the lance up at all? Thanks
Thank you very much 👍🏼 I much prefer it, as it allows you to clean the bottom of the car and the arches better, and also to reach over the top of the car 👍🏼
Hey Harp, I loved the video and your experience must have been great working on this car. What is the product name of those jamb locks, been looking around to find those (12min20secs). Would be great if you could introduce that to me, thanks!
@@HarpersCarDetailing Would you consider that too much for cars that aren’t ceramic coated? Would Auto Foam effect the longevity of say a ceramic sealant that offers 3-6 months protection..?
I wouldn’t say microfibres scratch paintwork, unless it’s dirty. Chamois are flat and ridged so don’t absorb any potential left over dirt so will easily scratch the car 👍🏼
I’m not sure what you mean here. Gyeon prep might not be isopropyl alcohol-based but it is an alcohol-based degree say specifically designed to clean the panel before applying a ceramic coating.
@@HarpersCarDetailing from what i have learned, is that a degreaser will need IPA in it, to show the real result and wipe away all polish residue. I use Gtechniq panel wipe. You will notice the difference right away.
Gyeon prep is specially designed for this job. It strips all oils from the paint which is why they created it as they are predominately a coating company. They are pretty much the same product but I much prefer Prep as I find Gtechniq too harsh on super soft paint. I’ve been using it for years and haven’t had a coating fail on me. Have a read here www.polishedbliss.co.uk/products/gyeon-q2m-prep
@@HarpersCarDetailing Yes, panel wipe Is hard on soft paints. I dilute it. After using panel wipe, the paint just feels more naked in my opinion. Prep is a good product, i’ll guess it just doesn’t work in harmony with gtechniq coatings. Whatever works for you ! As long as the end result is 💯, everybody is happy 🙏🏼
It should work with Gtechniq, as it’s a generic panel prep. Panel preps don’t add anything to the panel, they just completely strip it of oils so any coatings or polymer based waxes can bond to a naked surface
I love the fact you don't have any music playing in the background. That's one hell of a car.
Thanks!
I try and keep the sound and visuals are natural as possible as I find it quite therapeutic!

It is truly relaxing to watch your video and that's my dream car! I'm still a college student so I still have a really long way to go.
Another brilliant video from Harpers. Great work Nick!
Thanks, Mark, much appreciated 👊🏽
As always it’s a pleasure to watch you practicing your art
Thank you

Very nice!! 👍🏻 liked and subscribed!!

What do you mean by covered in foil? I haven’t heard of that before.
I would go with Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels 👍🏼
Perfect work bro amazing
Great video, amazing finish.
Have you ever applied Labocosmetica Blindo +HPC ceramic coating on any car?
Thanks 👍🏼
I love their products but haven’t tried their coating yet. Are they good?
Great job as always,
Can you make a video on machine polish guide? On how to use it? Which grade of cut and pad for which size of scratches etc.
I've been thinking about doing this so if I get the opportunity too I will :)
Always love Bentley but it just a thing… Just love to see a shining Bentley 😍 good job anyway
good working
Vids getting better! Finally normalized the audio when pressure washing so it's not crazy loud. But you could use some new buckets 😂. Keep it up!

So, when your detailing high dollar vehicles like this, can you actually tell a difference in the quality of materials? (Paint, carpet, leather etc)

what is that attachment on the pressure washer you used for the wheel wells?

Nick is that a turbo nozzle you use on carpet arch liners.
If so where from ?
Hi Dave, it certainly is but I would only suggest it on modern cars.
The link is at the top of my description 👍🏼
Great Video!
Can anyone Tell me where i can get those doorstoppers?
They are from Excel Detailing Supplies 👊🏼
Hello, one question, do you use the same brush for both the tires and the car body?
No I I have two separate brushes 👍🏼
If you can, it might be worth getting two separate colours to easily differentiate between the two 👍🏼
Hi Harper which speed did you use in your rotary polisher thanks
Hi Jorge, this is a forced rotation dual action, not a rotary.
Typically speed 5 for cutting and 4 for finishing 👍🏼
Do you know where can buy this machine i thanks
Thanks Harper just I found where can I buy it
Dream car 😍
Whats your dilution rate with your snow foam and what jet wash do you use, thanks
I use it about about 175-200ml so around 3% Panel Impact Ratio with a Kranzle K7

No definitely not. Bilt Hamber suggest 4% PIR so slightly stronger than what I use

What brand of car wax do you use?
This was ceramic coated, so wasn’t waxed.
But if I do wax, I’d use collinite 845 or Gyeon wax

Hey, question. Why they say that microfiber towels make little micro scratches? Why everyone not use a Chamois for sample?
