What an awesome conversation! They make some abso-Lewittly awesome mics.
Lol 😂 good one! Yes they do
Got a 441 Flex about a year and a half ago, and it’s been an absolute workhorse mic for me. Love the way it sounds; I describe it as having the sound of a modern-day production built-in to the mic natively.
Massive props to Lewitt! They’re truly revolutionizing the world of audio. :D
Another great video and interview, Mike and Mortiz. I have been looking at Lewitt Mics.
My 250 crapped on me , had a new one within a week , great service , gonna get a handheld condenser next . Good interview .
Mike, awesome new content! I really like the editing style. Been a booth junkie channel fan for a while and feel like it only gets better!
Good work, Mike. As an LCT 540s user, I love Lewitt. I appreciate all you do to educate me.
Total Lewitt fanboi here - this is a great interview! Well done as always, Mike.
I loved this Podcast, and my two LCT 440 Pures! Thanks Lewitt and thanks Booth Junkie!
Oh man, i love Lewitt, now i need more interviews done with lewitt mics
Lewitt!!! I love you guys! You have great mics that punch way above their weight class on every class you compete in. Love the LCT 440 pure!
Spontaneous but so informative so insightful and polished at the same time.
I’m still Neumann user but Lewitt has really caught my attention !
Good interview. I found my wonderful Lewitt 440 Pure thanks to Mike's reviews.
Thanks for this interview. It's disappointing, though understandable from a business viewpoint, that many companies don't build things to last. In that regard, I love Lewitt's philosophy; long may they continue.
This was awesome.
You have a great interview technique, very polished.
Magnificent - thank you.
Love this format Mike, great interview
Excellent interview! I’m very intrigued with the LCT-940, and a pair of LCT-140 airs to add to the studio; I’ve listened to as many YT reviews of these as I can, but living in fly-over country (MT) , I wish there was a way to first try them out.😊
Nice to see you!!!
The LTC540 would e nice to check out, and i really wish the 550 wasn’t discontinued..
Nice interview. Thanks.
I own a LCT 540 S
Nice interview! I assume those were the 540s you were speaking into?
💗
really cool, I like my 1040
Great interview. Recorded on 440's?
Mike, which mic are you actually using in this video? Your head is moving all over the place but the audio is pristine.
Please PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one that wishes this man suddenly started yelling "GET TO DA CHAPPAAAA!"
I think you forgot the most important question tho...
"Who's your daddy and what does he do?"
Haha, we can provide you with some sound samples.
@@LEWITT-audio hell yes 😁 can i also borrow a review sample of a 540S so i can stream then make a review video? 😁 I only got like 400 twitch followers so there really ain't much in it for you 😂
P r o m o S M 😇
Wassup 😊
Thr batman designs are offputting to me. I work in pro audio recording for german TV, and its superficial, but it also matters. Their products look like toys to me, even if the functionality is world class.
Interesting. I’m a geezer, not a gamer, and the design was the first thing I noticed. Saw a radio talker using one and initiated a hunt to discover what it was. I’ve been delighted with the look, build quality, and sonic characteristics of my LCT 540s.
What's your design preference for microphones?
@@LEWITT-audio Thanks for asking! Conservative designs in silver from Neumann, Gefell. The Gefell m930, Neumann 249b are two examples. AKG C414 is a square mic that looks clean and confidence-inspiring to me. I also own some DPA mics that look extremely utilitarian and attractive, similar to the schöps pencil condensors in grey with the indented logo. A more unusual design that I love is the Coles 4038. I equally appreciate innovation, but similar to car design I prefer the 1970s 911 to the modern counterparts, I also prefer Helvetica over Ariel. EDIT: the price/functionality ratio is incredible for Lewitt, and for me, a more sleek/utilitarian design would match the professional functionality with a professional look.
@@GingerDrums Thanks for sharing your view, very much appreciated. Greetings from Vienna!
EDIT: I hope it is clear that we won't go into the visual direction of so-called vintage microphones, but nonetheless we value your opinion and will consider it for future designs.
@LEWITT your model and vision is connecting to many people and quite possible that im not the target audience! I always think there is a perfect balance 👌 weiter so! Edit: DPA is certainly not vintage looking, but utilitarian and sleek ;))
17:53 this conversation... in 2018 when I was sickly and unable to get to my studio, I recorded a metal album on my iPhone SE 2016. An old Apogee Jam for guitars and bases, the iPhone mic for vocals... once I got back to the studio, I had to filter and filter and filter the profile and characteristics of that iPhone mic to make it sound decent... it’s still not a sound I strive for, but I did manage to produce an album that my audiophile friends with good ears and $$$$ systems thought was very solid. If you put in the time and know what you want to hear, you can make it happen with most any gear today... HOWEVER... I love Lewitt for their innovations in creating tools that help us to do the opposite of what I had to in order to make a “mic” sound usable. (Not self promo honestly, but just putting my cards on the table - that album from the iPhone is on my website jessedonovan.com album is “Ashes and Thorns”)
I really enjoyed this interview! And I learned about the handheld LDC which is awesome! Thanks to both of you for this time!
