Why is everybody talking about "Old Stories" yet nobody said anything about "Belaf's lullaby"? It breaks my heart because its propably my favorite ost from season 2
It's absolutely my favorite, but it's not one I would recommend to listen to out of context, you know? Hearing it first in the show is such an incredible and emotional experience. I had to take a few minutes to process it afterwards 🥲
Man, Belaf's lullaby was awesome the first time I heard it. It ties perfectly with the credit scene and shiit i rarely watch the credit scene but the music made me stay.
thank you, I don't think I have ever heard a track even close to being this emotional, specially knowing the context I want to start crying just thinking about this
Made in Abyss has some of the best OST i have ever come across. the vocals and symphony and composition. i think i read somewhere the vocals in some songs of this OST are just mash of words from varied languages. i think a famous throat singer also appears in the group OST for Made in Abyss - Uyanga Bold. without the anime and Kevin's amazing music, i never would have heard of her own music.
Bit late to the party but i believe (and thats from memory so idrk) that Uyanga Bold contributed to Tozo Hanoline. The only song i'm semi sure that is an actual constructed language is Hanezeve Caradhina. Even the title Hanezeve Caradhina has a semi-guessable meaning. These vary throughout fans but my guess is that it'd literally translate as "Wish for the abyss" or "Wish of abyss" (Caradhina is almost certain to mean abyss due to context. I've seen that consensus quite a lot). And Hanezeve as "wish", i have this from Transcendence and Hanezeve. "Transcendence" "to live beyond one's body" is the entire arc of Bondrewd. And it plays once that arc is revealed to the crew. Then, follows "Hanezeve", which shows Prushka bonding with Riko and telling her her wish. The entire key character point of Prushka is her wish. Her hope to one day explore the abyss. In that same sense, "Hanezeve Caradhina" "Wish of abyss", could be a nod to the call of the void. A wish, a calling from down in the abyss. The entire focal point of the anime. And since Hanezeve Caradhina is such a prominent song in the anime, surely it is deeply intertwined with the anime itself
Ohh this series is gold, the singer is precious. He also sings in another song earlier from the series, around episode 1-2. Song is called Hanazeve Caradhina and I strongly suggest listening it some time. Edit: I noticed you already did a video on it, my apologies. :)
It's amazing how on point Atlas is with feeling out the themes of the scenes based on the music. This piece is about longing and loss alright. Without directly spoiling: imagine the unspeakable suffering of the person closest to you saves your life and everyone else's. But they keep suffering more and more pain. You could try to stop this madness at anytime but you just can't find the courage, the agency. You sit, watch and blossom as they keep enduring their personal nightmare, until you go hollow. And you don't even know where to start to apologize. This is what this song conveys. Criminally underused in the show, too! Some parts were never used! Takeshi Saito is a brillant vocalist and deserves all the praise.
The singer is Takeshi Saito. He began his singing career in 2017 and has since then performed theme songs for several anime series and video games. One of his most notable works is "Hanezeve Caradhina," which is the opening theme song for the anime series "Made in Abyss." The song became popular not only in Japan but also worldwide, and many fans praised Saito's vocal performance in the song. Aside from "Hanezeve Caradhina," Saito has also performed theme songs for other anime series, such as "BanG Dream!" and "The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments." He has also released his own original music, including his first single "Another World" in 2020. Saito has a unique vocal range and style, and his music is often characterized by its emotional and uplifting melodies. He has gained a significant following in Japan and among anime and video game fans worldwide. I love him and I'm so happy I got to hear him in person.
Takeshi has actually been active since way before 2017. He's been doing this since he was a teenager i believe. & "another world" ? are you referring to 「地球」 ?? If so, thats not his first single, bc like i said he has been active for a long time and has lots of other songs and whole projects as early as 2010-2011
This song i sooooooo interesting! It's like it has no rules and is flowing in like a tsunami and you have absolutely no idea what to do or expect. Truly a magical, mysterious, emotional and tragic song

I've seen a lot of people on videos mentioning their favorites and there's usually not many repeats. In my case I can't get Segur out of my head, but most of the songs have such beatufiul melodies that is hard to choose.

The synths and distortion, as I interpret it, is the abyss itself not Bondrewd. The abyss is a encompassing, massive, omnipotent organism almost.
