I cant explain it but it reminded me of the intensity of rehearsal during my days. It took me back to the days of the blank stare, no ticks and near zombie like transformation into a pure drumming machine. If any of the members read this. Dam you guys sound good. Thank you & please dont change.
It might seem elementary, BUT, I LOVE the gallop exercise!!!! One of my favs!!!BTW, ???????????????? how can ANYONE not like SCV? Just putting that out there. Keep up the impressive work SCV D-Line!
And the Sanford Award goes to.......once again and well-deserved as usual. Thanks SCV for not buckling to the pressure to perform your music while dancing and posing and making silly faces at the crowd as you outscore and outplay all other lines in DCI. You will remember this experience forever. Have fun! I still remember drumming in the heat of summer 39 years later. Never stop drumming. It is a gift. Pass it on to the next generation.
I value the seriousness aspect of their sectionals (& all). Reminds me of the good parts of the old school "mean" DCI (minus the verbal abuse & "into the ground" negative experience). The exercises are a little more basic, but based on getting them into the essentials, chops etc., which far too many lines don't seem to have these days with their out of the box split snare parts 'n what not. Not sayin' that's bad, but you gotta get things back to basics. They've got that "thousand-yard stare" goin' on! PLUS, Is it me, or are these guys playin' a little more "through the drum" this year?
@@Drumguy65 Definitely not totally, but I hear more meat in the rolls than last year... I was brought up Hannum and I guess I'm always looking for that hammer

I bet the battery can come up with their own body movements vs. the guard or visual folks making it up for em. They've obviously got their own visuals

Morgan Nowlen I wouldn’t say through the drum. That’s not really a Rennick thing.
