    I thought the same thing the dipstick, however after re-thinking I reckon it's better that way. If a bike has that level glass you must either get a paddock stand of ask another person to keep it straight while looking. Conversely, with a dipstick you can check the level yourself sitting on the bike, anywhere.

      I just prefer the glass coz u can also see the quality of the oil just through it and i can check the level anywhere by myself by just standing it straight from the side stand from the right side but for the dipstick u would need to carry a rag with u

    3:30 "... a bit more... granular" that's the word you're looking for

    Well, I am 168cm (5ft 5") tall. Have no problem at all with the seat height.
    I agree with the oil dip stick, a window would be better.
    Otherwise I am very pleased with my bike.

      Well it depends, i don't feel confident if only my tippy toes can reach the ground or ur bike may have been lowered or u may weigh more than me which can compress the suspension more and making it lower for u

    except the ride hight, none of these are real problems at all

    Inseam length is more informative when speaking of seat height, than total height.

    My engine broke at 87000mls crank bearings. Its not a sports touring. If you want that buy an Africa twin 2020+. Abs is easy to turn off just pull the fuse

    I'm 5'8" with a 31" inside leg length and have no trouble getting my feet on the ground? I have the rear suspension on '3' which is standard. I've also owned tall bikes and the 650F ain't one of them. I've owned mostly touring bikes and the 650F can definitely be a good touring bike which is exactly what I use it for now. Don't compare it with full blown tourers which is silly. A small screen makes a big difference. riding position is not extreme, tank range is ok. No cruise control? lol, are you kidding? nice to have but nowhere near essential. You hate the dipstick? that's a complaint?

    • @theBrokeBloke69
      @theBrokeBloke69  2 месяца назад

      Yeah i realised that this bike was too good after selling it but i always prefer the glass window for motorcycles instead of dipstick and cruise control is essential for me if I’m riding for more than 4 hrs straight,right hand gets no rest without it

      I think it depends on the market. All U.K Bikes have ABS. I have a 2014 Bike.

      @@theBrokeBloke69 OK, I am 186 cm and I have a lot of pain in my back after 45 minutes of riding.

    • @mgml
      @mgml 2 месяца назад

      Seat comfort is average, maybe slightly below. Myself after 60-90 minutes my ass needs a break. If you want to tour on it for long distance get yourself a cheap 'air-seat'. This also applies to the CBR650F model.

    Probably abit late but you can pull a fuse to deactivate abs.

    All sounds like a luxury issue. Sounds to me you should buy a newer model bike. Or you shouldn't complain at all.

    Gotta agree mostly. Except for the ABS. I was riding a Yamaha FZ6R for 5 months before the CBR650. Maaan that thing locked up the rear wheel at the slightest touch of the lever. It was fucked. I'll take ABS in any form after that shitfest. It would be nice to turn off rear-wheel ABS though.

    • @theBrokeBloke69
      @theBrokeBloke69  2 года назад

      I agree with you, the abs is good and totally needed for street riding, it was just about the occasional "parking lot" fun when i would've loved to turn it off 😬

    Dislike that sloped-back headlight and the oooogly plastic side covers front of tank and covering radiator. That exhaust looks horrible too. The downpipes are acceptable but look like they are an afterthought (pushing off to the right). Why Honda changed from the 599 (CB600F-1998 -> 2006, pre 2007) series is beyond comprehension.
    And there seems to be no center stand option on these side-swept exhaust systems.
    And, yeah, maintenance is far more cumbersome on these "new" design bikes. Shame really.
