Go for a focus shot at their torso as they are sprinting (they need to be in the middle of the sprinting animation, not on the startup frames and they need to be sprinting forward without turning left/right), that will cause a pushback animation. The next hit at their leg/head will be a consistent stagger (even a knife slash). With that trick, you can get close enough to the Ganado to be able to perform a suplex (guaranteed kill) or knife execution from the back (consumes less durability than the one from tripping). - Using red barrels as distraction during stealth sequences: When you shoot a red barrel, all the enemies that are not aware of you will start walking to the spot where the barrel exploded. In the dynamite valley I use this trick (0:15:08) to group the initial wave of enemies to then kill everyone with a single grenade (that will detonate the dynamite Ganado as well and cause a double explosion guaranteed to kill everyone) without being detected. That prevents a lot of extra enemies from spawning. In the fish farm (0:35:35), I use a barrel to trigger last known position for all enemies on the way back (if I don't shoot the barrel, some enemies will try to investigate the last shot I performed). In this encounter (3:38:54), you can use the barrel to force two shield enemies and another Ganado to investigate it and get the drop on them. - Overall, I decided to use a lot of stealth in the run. I know some of the methods can be a little time consuming but they look cleaner and more engaging with the systems than just running past or "clearing all the enemies from a safe spot" kind of strategy. It also gives me more of a motivation to use the bolt thrower. There is a little bit of everything in this run: stealth, running past, and clearing all the enemies. This route is mainly designed around two main weapons in mind when it comes to exclusive upgrades: - Bolt Action Rifle: this rifle is easily one of the best weapons in the game if you get the exclusive upgrade (2x power). Keep in mind though that this weapon is only extremely powerful when hitting weak points since it gets 3x power, otherwise it isn't too powerful. When fully upgraded with the exclusive, you will deal roughly 5 x 2 x 3 which is around 30 base damage, something close to a magnum's power stat. That combined with its accurate aiming and how rifle bullets are the cheapest ones to make (in terms of the gunpowder) while having a good crafting efficiency (7 bullets per craft) makes this the most important/versatile weapon in the run in my opinion. It is used to trivialize several regular enemy encounters and also some boss fights. Honestly, this was an interesting choice from the developers since this weapon used to be pretty pointless in the original game (I myself never got this rifle since the entire village never needed a rifle and the semi automatic one in the castle felt much superior) and it's not very obvious that this weapon is actually extremely useful due to the subtle triple damage boost design. - Broken Butterfly: the broken butterfly makes a huge difference when fighting Verdugo and it is a great help for Saddler's boss fight. With the exclusive upgrade, it's the only NG weapon as far as I'm aware that will consistently one-shot each of Saddler's eyeballs (the rifle and the Killer7 will randomly do that depending on critical shot chance). Its huge problem is that its reticle is very inaccurate but you can certainly work around it using focus shots in circumstances you need it. Since I don't intend to fully upgrade it early on, I opt to use the ticket for this weapon and manually fully upgrade the bolt action rifle (since it's the weapon I'll be using the most). I would like to try other weapon/upgrade choices later in another run.
Do you think you'd be able to do a no-damage S+ run without the merchant, or is enemy HP simply too high to accomplish that in time? How about a total gimmick run like no melee?
@@jphataraki6764 S+ no damage for no merchant is doable, but with no saves it would be really terrible (mostly for the island part). I think what is achievable for no save no damage would be "no upgrades" (and no rocket launchers of course) using all the merchant weapons but at base level. The island section of the remake is very bad for restricted challenges in general.

@@bogdannovoseltsev The run itself is very consistent for a good 95% of it using all the tools the game gives you. And of course even more if you decide to use rocket launchers and play extra safely. This is the smoothest, most professional "professional" run of RE4 I've ever seen. You sir, are truly a skilled video gamer. And your knowledge of the game is so darn impressive. I feel like THIS IS how it's supposed to be played. The way you played the dynamite valley area was just a chefs kiss. All the little things, where to throw bombs, the placement to get stealth kills. I noticed how much you kill w the knife and via stealth and it's blown my mind. You've inspired me to up my game! Thank you for this video!!
Man, i really loved how you deal with saddler, he has a ton of health, this feels like new game run on village of shadows difficulty all over again lol
I think at least on Village of Shadows you could sustain almost every single fight for as long as you wished once you understood how the bosses worked. The bosses on this game are noticeably less tanky but more poorly designed. In Saddler's case, the fighting knife with the exclusive upgrade deals a lot of damage.
Such a pleasure to watch your walkthroughs. I see that you also discovered that if you are stepping back from the enemies while they are attacking, it gives some extra frames to parry. I wonder if it is because the contact with your hitbox initiates a bit later into the animation, but the parrying window starts at the same frame as usual.
I believe it’s because of that as well. I studied frame by frame in some of the fights and indeed the window can “become shorter” when attacks connect slightly earlier than they should. It’s the reason why mutated Krauser’s parry can be extra punishing since his attacks’ hitbox can be very dishonest.
Bro, I thought I played this game well. until I watched you. Definitely a flawless run to take our hats off to. It's crazy that you made it through the game unscathed. 😅

Excited to watch this one all the way. Just watching you steamroll the first chapter was awesome. I love this game (and the OG) but I can see why challenge runners such as yourself, carinogensda, etc. can find it maddening due to the RNG. There is undeniable bullshit that happens esp on pro that can’t be ignored. Also having crosshair bloom (bullet spread?) and weapon sway together was not a good decision. Having the crosshair tight right on target only for the bullet to whiff even while they are within kissing distance never fails to make laugh at the absurdity. Anyway, keep up the great work
Thanks for the support! Even though I have a lot of criticism for this game, there are a lot of things to be praised as well. I was thinking about making a video with all the sections that work better than the original in my opinion.
Best Player I've seen yet, specially due to the fact that you are playing on a controller, which means, you actually have to learn the mechanics perfectly since you can't rely on mouse and keyboard to OP your aim through some sections. Most Guides of RE4 Remake are with Mouse and Keyboard and just Tunning the sniper while hitting fast and barely missing any shots, that is not realistic or consistent for a console player, besides, it is in a way bypassing some need to know mechanics for Professional Play, perfect Parrying, dodge mechanics, etc.
Absolutely stellar run Aether! Especially the fights against Verdugo, Krauser, and Saddler. Expertly played! Also, props to the big-brained play in Chapter 15 where you sniped out the final turret section from above. Never considered doing that. I was curious about one thing. In chapter 11, did something go wrong during the fight with the villagers in the Mines (with the Salvador and Bella Sister)? You were going for a treasure but skipped it. Then it seemed like you were going to kill the Bella Sister, but then you moved on to the double Gigante fight. I was curious if the route changed on the fly there or you were worried about time or something. Well done though! 👏👏👏
Thanks! The Bella sister is supposed to run away. If she doesn't even when you get back to the area you place the dynamite, it usually takes another stun to make her deaggro and decide to go back. That's why I shot her, I didn't mean to kill her to get her treasure. Do you mean the other treasure I shot at the beginning? I preshoot it before the encounter but I can only get it safely if Dr Salvador isn't waiting outside the door which is random.
This must've taken lots of practice, and many playthroughs. I see strategies no one else uses throughout, nice one! I have yet to get any S+ but that's because I keep taking breaks from the game. Probably start on Hardcore and then do a Pro run when I have the will power.
Good question. Once you understand the rules of it, and using all the upgrades, I think the remake version is more dynamic and interesting - I do like the phases of it, and how there are multiple triggers and there is quite a lot of room to come up with different strategies. I don't like how Luis is useless here though, how enemies' AI suddenly get confused and try to go up or down, and I dislike some fundamental inconsistencies/issues of the remake like grenades not killing enemies or enemies being tanky/not flinching which were never a problem in the original RE4. The RE4 OG cabin had its own issues (like with running Plagas) and was probably the weakest section in the entire village. Overall, I feel like the remake version is a little better.

It’s on PC but I play with a PS5 controller.
Bro really did it 😁
Dude I fucking LOVE THIS!! How you slaughtered Verdugo made me lactate for God's sakes!
Very fast in village. Stranger!
This must've taken lots of practice, and many playthroughs. I see strategies no one else uses throughout, nice one!
I have yet to get any S+ but that's because I keep taking breaks from the game. Probably start on Hardcore and then do a Pro run when I have the will power.
this is the real secret agent, fast, no unnecessary contact with enemies
1:12:51 I'm curious. Which cabin sequence do you think is better? RE4 OG or RE4R?
THE BEST. AS ALWAYS.
U must be RICH RICH… 😂 How the hell??? Very cool. Its the DEL LAGO flex for me😂😂😂
