Loved your video of Looe and Polpero. My wife's sister lives in Polpero and we travel down from Salford once a year to visit. I am always looking at how visitors shoot their youtube videos of Looe and Polpero, and I must say yours is one of the better shoots. You have captured the feel of the locations very nicely, especially the main street of Looe. Thankfully, your video hasn't got dreadful background music in it like a lot videos. Just has the natural sounds of the area. It is true the Polpero car park is expensive and is a bit of a grumble even from the residents, not that I have ever used it ( we get free parking from wife's sister, sorry had to get that in) Believe it or not we don't often eat out as the sister in law is a great maker of picnics. I have always wanted to try the Golden Guinea but never get the chance as butties are always in the backpack. So glad you enjoyed your visit.

Having been to Cornwall many many times over the last 40 years, I have seen great changes all over the County. Polperro has always been a favourite of mine but I haven't been there for some while now as I resent having to pay extortionate parking charges. In fact, this year I spent 3 weeks in the Helston area at the end of the season, and visited many places all over Cornwall and avoided paying for parking wherever possible. I spent no more than £5 overall. I did use NT car parks as I am a member. So, if the council think they can get more out of me for parking they are very wrong. It just means I don't visit their struggling High Street shops. Anyway your video is a good watch and I will be coming to Cornwall out of season from now on.

Last time I stayed in Polperro it was £38 for a car for the week. His was about four years ago. Not a bad price to my mind.

I could not agree more, NT car parks are excellent if you are a member. Cornwall Council seem to have placed so many restrictions on parking and increased charges but nothing like this private car park in Polperro. I have since done a follow up video during lockdown when the charges haven't decreased.

Because it is a private car park and the only one in Polperro they have the monopoly. Charges are high which I think just makes the holiday maker who holidaying at home just want to go back abroad. As a local prices have increased for everything during the holiday period, to my mind not acceptable but we are each allowed a view. £38 is great value but I am sure it is much higher than that now. Thanks. Rich

Hi Keith I actually use an iPhone 7 Plus and a cheap HD Action Camera that I purchased online for £32. I use iMovies to edit, all very amateur but I hope you like the results.

Waggies Travels Thank You so much for your reply. I must say you get excellent video. I have many videos of Looe and Polperro, but all more than 10 years old, sadly not High Definition. I love Cornwall and Devon, so your video's give me a fresh look, your camera technique makes for
great video entertainment. Best Wishes, Keith Hallett, Michigan USA.

Looe looks lovely. Did I hear you say you had an electric car?

Yes, I currently have an Peugeot Ion at the current time having just traded in my BMW i3 until the new bigger battery model is released. My one does about 80 miles on a charge which with the amount of chargers in Cornwall means I can get anywhere with no issues.
