Very sad that his colleague Sachin's retirement was celebrated with great fanfare and applause whereas this guy did not even get a decent send-off. Sad, the retirement was off-field. Yes Tendulkar was a better player but the difference was not that big as the difference in the send off. This proves that diplomacy and political skill is as important as cricketing skill. The only Indian cricketer to have scored 3 tons ( that too twice ) and the fastest 3 ton. Best of luck Viru. Thanks YT and India Today.

It is a great tragedy of. the cricket Not of Sewag that the way. he had to. announce his retirement.He waited long time after dropping with the hope of induction in team but all in vain. I don't know whether any courtesy has been shown on behalf of the Board in regard to dropping a great cricketer like him

My favorite cricketer of all time, sad to see him go. Sehwag should never have been dropped throughout his career. He was always an asset to the Indian team. Ganguly is such a gentleman

sehwag did not play well in 2012 so he was dropped,but i was waiting every day he will come back but he could not,but he could have waited n play some domestic cricket well n get chance,but its ok,he scored 8000 runs in each format,its big achivement,but i expected 10000 runs in both.its ok,best opener
