How to solve a problem when car won't start but battery is good

- What you are going to see in this video, is a sample not for you to do it. This will be applied more to these types of models that I will put below, but anyway look at the fuse panel of the car model you have and see if it is similar, the question is that no stay passive when your car breakdown in the hightway, the car does not give crank to start, if you do not know anything about mechanics, do not do it and if you know mechanics and you do it, it is your responsibility if you do somenthing wrong or you don't know what your doing. Ok this is models: Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Sierra Denali from 1999 to 2006 and classic models of 2007, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali from 2002 to 2006, Chevrolet Avalanche from 2002 to 2006.
Some talk about his accent but remember YOU went to HIS VIDEO for HELP. Great Video, thanks for the help🤝
Thank you.
Plus they didn't have the knowlage he has....Thanks man
CUTZ BYLARRY plus, when someone talks with an accent, it means they know more than one language.
How can you not understand.
relax bro relax; when making fun of his accent, not necessarily means that it comes from a bad place; it could be that we're just making fun of him as a joke with no harm, see what I mean; not everything has to be "negative" as you portrait it here, lol; Yet, at the same time, I understand where you're coming from (cuz there's people who actually do), but so do you where I do, lol....in the end, is all good
WORKED! 2005 Suburban - battery good, turned key and nothing. Happened out of the blue without warning. Did this hack and started right up. Connect wire to prong closest to driver front tire. Touch the other end to the +positive+. Vroom vroom. THANK YOU!
ONLY ONE WIRE USED???
Thank you sir my car was down for 11 days now it is running God Bless you!
I watched your vid and the Mexican ingenuity is superb!
For all the people watching he hooked the pin 30 to Battery positive while ignition switch in on position. Do this at your own risk. Be very careful and make sure your relay is the one for the starter
If is the relay that is bad you can swap similar relays to start the car.
Grab the horn relay if possible and again be very careful. If you dont know what you are doing leave it to the Professionals.
Every car is different and could be the ignition switch or something else.
Try to start your car in Neutral also.
God bless you!

@@taranta I had to remove my fuse box to get my old battery out and put the new I then replaced fuse box made sure I attached hooked it back up the same way I had removed it and my dash lights will come on but I can't get it to crank over whatsoever. Also my head lamps won't come on nor does my horn work? Do you happen to know what I could've done wrong? Thanks in advance. I am a single mama and have been servicing this vehicle myself since I bought it 4yrs ago. From brakes to oil to changing thermostat myself.
@@libragal815 I don't know why you had to remove the fuse box to replace the battery. In any case, make sure that you connected the red cable to the positive terminal of the battery and the black cable to the negative terminal, and in the fuses box check one by one to see if they are not blown
@@taranta I didn't have to completely remove it however I had to take the 2 bolts that held the fuse box up. My dash lights turn on but it won't even click when i turn it over. My battery states 14.7v charge. I made sure the terminals are hooked up to the right ones. I've checked all my fuses and seem to still be getting the same outcome. If my battery terminals are not all the way down on the positive and negative on the battery as far as they can go cause this possibly? Or if the bolts aren't the tightest on the terminals cause this?
This is probably the quickest and best fix I've seen. Thank you man
Thank you and welcome.
@@taranta Does the wire just have to touch metal? Or does it have to touch that cable
@@colewilder5829the wire goes from that corner of the relay to touch the positive pole or the peel wire coming from the positive pole of the battery.

Hay que tener muchísimo cuidado porque si lo haces mal (conectado positivo al lado negativo de la ECU, la puedes quemar.

I have a 2012 Tahoe that was having a weird starting issue that I just fixed. It would read 12.1V to 12.8V and would intermittently not start. It would click, and while watching the motor the click would turn the motor approximately 1/16 of an inch on the pulleys. Cleaned up the negative battery cable connections, no go. I was finally able to have my son try to turn it over while I measured voltage across the battery. The battery voltage would drop down to 6V while it was trying to turn over. Got a H7 battery from Walmart to fit, by bending down the tab in the rear of the battery tray, removing 1 10mm nut on the foot of the coolant reservoir, and lift it up and forward a bit. With the battery holding plastic clamp in loose, and the coolant reservoir back in place and secured, I slid the battery all the way forward, and held it there, and tightened down the clamp.
Fit just right.
Walmart battery tester gave my original GM ACDelco battery a 166 cranking amps at 12.8V... just enough to fool me for a while.
Problem now solved.
Glad you solved
Great video! Thank you it is very helpful. I never knew that you could do this.

I only subscribed because of his accent, you know he gotta be a good mechanico... Probably one of my cousins
loved your way of jumping to the starter I tried it on my Buick and the starter ran at least that was working I also have no power to my windows I'm thinking of a bad connection system causing both problems so on to window power troubleshooting.
Yes friend, window wires, turn signals, radio and other accessories, when they go to ground, they make a short circuit and blow a 20 amp yellow fuse that is main function is starting the car.
Thank you for the video ,I have a 2002 blazer and now I'm going to try your advice. Good job 😁

Hey my friend thank you for the video...
How can I connect the wire to where I can shut my car on n off from inside this away.. without having to pop my hood every stop.
People always put it on the bottom side of the rudder on the left, that depends on how is best for each person
Very good demonstration and to the point. Thank you.
Would this bypass the security system on my Saturn VUE 2007?
Scarface out here fixing cars too
I wasn't going to answer you, but a year later i want to tell you that if you knew that I have 19 stitches on my face and I was 75% blind, and i came from Cuba in a rafter exodus in 1994, and thanks to this great country that I love ♥I have excellent vision and I don't see any scars on my face, we don't all run on the same path🙏🙂
Connect the wire to the battery and to the top right prong on the relay and you can use the key to start it every time without having to pop the hood. Or just switch the relay out with the one beside it till you can get to auto parts store and get a new one. The relay is bad. bypass it or swap it out with one beside it till you can get another one. Good job on the video.
My friend you assume that the relay is bad, it could be much more problems that do not allow you to start directly with the key. The key is only left open to control the car otherwise you cannot drive the car.
I have the same problem with my 2003 I got the wire going from the battery to the 85 prong on starter relay. It starts everytime, just make some weird noises when key is out.
@@corykeeler1250 the noise is most likely because you have the starter motor direct to the flywheel.
Thank you sir wonderful video very helpful. I always appreciate someone who can think out side of the box 👍👍👍😎
I want him to show me how to make it easy and then he does. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 🌝🌞
Thanks a lot!!!
I don’t have that problem or experienced a issue where I could use it, but I keep learn things, as we all should, because one day it will happened, anyway that’s how I am and believe, my question is beside may the key ignition being damaged, what problems would you be having , where this would help someone, can you share what reason or problem is happening, that this would help ?
Yes, the problem can be many and they can happen, between the ignition cylinder and the fuse panel there are many components that affect the starting of the engine, the defective cylinder, an open wire or a ground wire, light, air conditioning, the horn, a blown fuse among other things.
taranta now that I think about it, when I lived in Houston Texas, I worked installing floors and had a 87 Ford F-150 502cu v8 if was a beast, no matter what problem it had, there was a way to bypass the issue and it get me to the job site, but what happened one day, I turned the key and it started but when I released the key, it keeped turning the starter like I was holding the key to start it, I quickly pop the hood and disconnected the battery at that time I had no idea what caused that and didn’t know how to start the truck, I don’t remember if someone told me or I came up with the solution, so I would put the key in the on position and open the hood and the Solenoid was right by the battery on the inside fender and I would bridge a connection from the solenoid, that was back in 2003, I found out later it was because of the battery was shot out.
@@dannymartinez8314 Yes, before they started the car when the ignition cylinders had problem, they left the key on, made a bridge with a screwdriver in that solenoid and started the car.
Very informative! Great instructions 👍 thank you so much!

Will this work if a car rental/finance company remotely disables the ignition? (The electrical accessories still come on when turning the key, but engine won't crank.)
I don't know
Just had this issue - didn’t have the wires but now I’m on thinking it’s just a fuse - what ended up being the cause of the issue for you?
My friend in this car in the video had some wires from the turn signal lights shorted to ground, it was blowing the yellow 20 amp starter fuse. The person who had it was never able to fix it or even sell it because the people who tried to buy it, tried it and in the middle of the purchase it wouldn't start, they sold it to me very cheap, I put it on computers and nothing, it just said that the circuit was open, I invented this system for every time no start, can starting it. One blessed, very sunny day, leaving the market with my girlfriend, she tells me I saw a little bit of smoke coming out from under the rudder column, I saw the sky, as soon as I got home I saw the cable stuck with the burnt plastic stuck to the metal of the steering column, I solved the problem with a piece of electrical tape.
Thank you so much, after using a small air compressor to fill up my tire through the cigarette lighter it blew the cigarette lighter fuse and I'm not sure what else happened but my car wouldn't start, but this got it cranked up and now it cranks without having to use the wire for some reason
It may have been the relay that stuck, but check all the 20 amp yellow fuses, glad this video helped you.
Just had this happen with my 03 envoy, had power but turn the key n nothing. My brother came with a tire tool and touched the starter posts and fired right up. Have had a issue sometimes with the key not wanting to come out of the switch but never not starting. Hope it helps someone
One thing that gave you trouble one day, will happen again, better change the key with the starter cylinder.
What number is the prong of the relay that you connect the wire to ? Couldn’t see it clearly. Is it number,87,86,,85 or 30 ? I am assuming you connected the wire to number 30 . Thanks
Google it. Itll show ya
Depending in your car
U r an brilliant person in any language

Nice hack when you're in a pinch ... you could also replace the ignition switch.
How ?

Good morning,I do have Renault scenic so it doesn't start but I put it the new plugs then it started so after few drive then doesn't start anymore
Car when no start is because something wrong in the electric system (electronic), gas system or vacuum system I don't know about those cars, I've never messed with those systems, if I tell you something can confuse more, good luck
What did you do to ignition the last time.Couldnt see.Did you just pull key out n put back in?
My friend, I did the same as before, I turned off the car with key to refresh the system and turned it on again, that is to say, leave the key open for the accessories to work.
can you help me? my problem is a have brand new battery and starter motor but car will not start or even turn over engine? are you saying it could be the starter motor relay or circuit thatcould be bad? thanks if you can help
Yes, it is possible, because if the engine does not even turn the problems may be is from the relay to the ignicion cilinder. Before checking the relay, look for the blown fuses, especially the yellow 20 amp ones, there is one that has to do with the air conditioning but also with the starter motor. Good luck.
Thanks Amigo U the Man
Elamigo I just now did what you was doing to get your car started my Pontiac G6 started real fast idles perfect there any way how to fix this problem back to using the ignition switch cylinder
My friend, what you see in the video is so that in an emergency you can start the car to get home. There are many things that go into starting, the first thing I would recommend is to check the fuses, especially the 20 amp yellow fuses.
I recently had problems with my Mazda protege hatchback not cranking. I replaced the 100A fuse and got a new battery and new connectors, problem solved!
oh my God i love your accent! thanks for the help!
Aussie sheila here. Yeah, Ta, mate. Bonza advice. I'd shout you a slab, but we're probs not local. Ta anyways, mate 👍
My battery went dead from the truck sitting unstarted several months. I took the battery out and charged it overnight then had it tested and it's good but will not crank by key. I used the jumper wire hack and it starts for a few seconds same as your video. What did you do different to get it to stay running on the third time? I'm thinking some anti theft programs in the computer activated on my truck for some reason?
I don't think it's an anti-theft program, because you're using the original key. I didn't do anything extra, just leave the key open so that everything keeps running normal, if you don't leave the key on, the engine may shut down, I don't know what you did, good luck my friend.
Taranta ... thanks for responding. I was working by myself so the key did stay in the "on" position. I stood so that I could touch the post with my right hand and work the throttle with left. At first I figured the cylinders were just too dry to keep running but after 6 or more starts and stalls has lead me to think it's a glitch in the computer. Thanks again
Love how my Latinos got all da HACKS! Thanks for the video much love! Gracias from 🇵🇷
MexiCAN .thanks for the video
You're welcome, I'm Cuban
Will this work to by pass the anti theft. My truck will not start only crank and have anti theft blinking. I have the exact same motor.
I'm not sure, but I think it's going to do the same, because the computer by the anti-theft sensor do not allow the gas injection.
taranta 06 do you know how I can reset or do something to fix or reset the pass lock. I just finished putting new head gaskets in and left the battery disconnected for 3 days. When I installed it it only cranks no start and yes you are rite my injectors will not turn on. I’m so stressed out all that hard work and my truck won’t start due to the theft bull shit.
Maybe finding the immobilizer and changing it or looking for the program o for a person who knows how to hack the immobilizer with the new keys, people use many methods, if you have the old keys you can remove the microchip and put it in the steering column or go to the dealer and buy a key with the original transponder chip.
I think mine won't start because the immobilizer. I'm so frustrated.
@@homegrownluv8106 check red and yellow ground wires probably the yellow ground wire under your hood

Where is the Starter Fuse relay in Buick Park Ave 2003 ? What number do you spark them together ?
The starter relay is in the fuse panel in the engine compartment, near the battery, check the fuses that have to do with starting the car.

I'm robin from wisconsin I love your videos . I have a question my husband bought a used van on the 14 the same day he bought it wud not start . Was there susposed to be a paper on the window a check list saying every thing was ok . How could it start and he got it home and it wud not start can you help us thank you
Hi Robin, there are many things that can prevent a car from starting, it could be the battery, it can be a relay, fuse, starter motor, computer problem, the ignition cylinder, a sensor behind the ignition cylinder, the key does not have the sensor with the boot code, it can be open a ground wire, that happens in the steering column , to say exactly it is very difficult. If he is going to dedicate himself to buying used cars, it is best to buy a cheap computer that they sell in auto parts stores to read the codes, that will help you a lot.
cooo
Thank you sir. That's mean I shall change the fuse or what's your advice please
When a fuse blows it is because something is wrong, sometimes it is due to overheating, but other times it is due to something malfunctioning or a short circuit, check that! There are also many problems between the fuse panel, the car to the starter key cylinder that do not allow the car to start.
this worked for me today 2000 z71 so what do you thing ignition switch ?
I think so I'm reading comments hoping to find the issue I dont want to have to do this everytime lmao

Did you hook the wire up to the starter relay and the battery?
Yes, from the battery to that corner of the relay, which is the one that activates the "S" terminal of the starter motor.
I have a Saturn what's the name of the fuse that I should be looking for to jump start my car like that
Hi, power is draining out of our car from a long time. We changed the battery considering it to be the problem. Even then the car is losing on it's electricity somehow. The battery is in fine condition. We got the central locking system removed trying to check if it was drawing power. But not even that's the issue. What could be the problem? The car will immediately start with just a single jumpstart & we drive it, use it & park it. After about 40 mins to an hour on switch off condition, the car wouldn't start. Again we would need to jumpstart it & carry on this way of usage. Can anyone suggest a solution to this.
My friend, check the alternator, but first look at the battery if you have a little puffiness on the small sides of the battery, it is not good, go to a auto store and they check out the two things for free.
Same problem, I got the battery changed and still same problem occurred have no idea what to do
Same here
