This man singlehandedly inspired me to get into camping and fishing. Bought a full set of camping/backpacking gear a few days ago and a rod. Yesterday caught my first (little) trout and am going solo camping and fishing in the French Alps in a few days. Can't wait to catch and cook a trout while on my trip. I've always imagined going on a camping fishing trip somwhere in the wilderness, but I've always thought how much of a hassle it must be to carry all the camping and Vlogging equipment. And then here we see you hauling all of that up and down mountains while laughing and giggling. Man, the dedication.

His channel got recommended to me somehow through the magic of Google algorithm or something I suppose, when I was looking up rivers close by to where I live. Strange times indeed

I used to live in walhalla. I fished the chauga and the chattooga rivers all the time. Beautiful place up there but I love Michigan more. More and bigger fish up here. Image that 12in. Trout that's 10 or 15lbs.
@@joshuavanderschaaf5145 10-15 pound trout in MI? Somewhere in remote UP? Just wondering. I grew up in midwest and fishing for most part sucks unless go upper WI, MN. But even up there can find all kinds of fish but not big trout. Its mostly areas getting stocked and fished out. Haven't really fished MI besides southwest. I know of some remote spots in CO and CA where can find trout that big but it too many years exploring areas many people don't go to.
I would love to see some hunting videos on this channel I think it would be a really neat way for you to maybe branch out even more!

Man first of all great viedo , wonderful places nice catches and i love how you explain what people should look for to kee the natural enviroment healthy, also that background information about the native creatures and that the fish actually got brought into those lakes. Although i have to say my Flyfisher-heart was bleeding , seeing you not to go for Flyfishing on that first lake. I think the second lake wasnt really possible to flyfish there but the first one looked kinda made for flyfishing. Anyways geat video , wonderfull footage , can`t wait to see more of your videos !!!

I’m fairly certain it was a ramaria species, or a coral mushroom. Cauliflower mushrooms look pretty different to the one he found

Thats still a number he should be proud of accomplishing tho. I remember when 1rod only had 10k subscribers (and when this channel only had couple thousand which I think mightve been as recent as lasttime pinks were running) and now he is pushing like 1.5 mil I believe. He will continue to grow, and unlike 1rod or "mini" mike for example he isn't just trying to gain as many sunscribers as possible for profit and using clickbait, he is staying true to himself and actually releasing quality and enjoyable content, gaining actual angler/outdoorsman subscribers instead of acting super fake and "extra" to rack up all the 5-10yr olds on their parents tablets for $
