    Great job looks great and moves very smoothly. Glad you have measurements. I never took the time to measure it and people ask me all the time for the lengths which I don’t have. I’ll refer them to this video from now on.

    That's awesome! About how much time do you think you put into this project? I've been wanting one for years! Dang, Kindys is sold out of their motors. I'll keep checking.

      I have been wanting to do it for years as well but was nervous about working with the motors but I was surprised that it came together pretty nicely for me. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I put the whole body together in a day. Worked on clothing and painting the hands the following weekend. A couple hours to make the Coals for the cauldron. And several hours to put the cauldron together and drill a hole in the back so that I could run the pipe for the fog in. So I did it over several weekends but it really did not take much time at all. I had to do some tweaking here and there along the way.

    Dang.... I wish I had started watching your videos a long time ago.... That metal plate with the 90 degree bend and the use of cotter pins is pure genius..... I'm laughing at why I didn't think of that.....
    And of course, I clicked on here when I saw "body measurements" bait & switch... Naw.... I'm just kidding....
    You've made my day.... Thanks for sharing.... Course, with my luck Home Depot will NOT have cotter pins in stock...
    Quick question.... Did you play around with the length of the rotating arms off the reindeer motor? I notice on other videos that many times there are multiple drilled holes on the metal arms, that would indicate they had to keep moving the location of the connection until they found the sweet spot. Often times, one arm is much longer than the other...??? Any tips on what works best for you?

      Thanks! The metal arm came with the holes in it already. The bar is 7 inches and the hurricane ties 6 inches. I have the bar hooked to the bottom of the neck at 7 inches from the bottom. I just started this channel about a month ago because people are asking me for information on my Halloween stuff and it was taking too long to post to Facebook. This channel was totally an accident! Ha ha

      I had it from a previous witch I bought. You can probably find something similar on Amazon or even use go in the woods and look for a stick that looks similar. That’s what I was going to do before. I remembered that I had this one from another witch.

    Great video. I took a stab and I made this witch following your great directions. However my witch head is putting a lot of weight which causes the motor not to work properly. I’m using a foam head for the mask only. Would you know what I could do to fix that issue?

    • @kellysdiyhalloweencreation8382
      @kellysdiyhalloweencreation8382  Год назад

      I am also using a foam head with a mask. Maybe there is something a little off in the set up that I could help with that I would need to see it. Are you in any of the Halloween Facebook groups where I could connect with you?

    Hi Kelly, am new at this and not very good at it but determined. Having trouble with motor in cauldron. Cant get the stick to rotate properly. Would you please tell me what bracket exactly you used! I have theKindy motor but stick doesnt rotate correctly. Keeps tipping over. Thank you.

    • @kellysdiyhalloweencreation8382

      I Originally used a bar that came off of some attic stairs however it was very heavy so I Changed it out for the same bracket with the holes in it that I bought from Lowe’s that I used for the mechanism on the stirring witch. Also, after it had been running for a while the little screw kept loosening up so I’d took a second screw and put it in another one of the holes and screwed it in a second place on the plastic arm so that it could not rotate around and would stay solid with the arm. I left my bracket longer so it stuck out both sides of the arm like a blade on a helicopter. I’m not sure if this is what you’re talking about hopefully this helps. I also have my motor screwed into some blocks of wood so that it stays in place.

      @@kellysdiyhalloweencreation8382 Thank you Kelly for the quick response. I think the second screw is what is needed. I will give it a try and hope for the best! If not I will cry. Lol
