The Maine Coon cat is among the most brilliant animals on Earth! The rumor is that that they sailed upon a ship from Europe and landed in Maine. Many people believe that they are mix-bred with a raccoon and/or a Canadian Lynx. The Canadian Lynx is the northern version of the bobcat but has a cooler tail! Also known as the "gentle giant," the Maine Coon is very dog-like in nature. Maine Coons chirp more than they meow. They're very vocal animals and will accompany you throughout your day. I've lived with many cats throughout my life but the Maine Coon is definitely the most unique. Sean Coonery my Maine Coon never ceases to amaze me! A Maine Coon does not live with you, YOU live with the Maine Coon! It's a great experience but be prepared to always feel inferior! That’s Maine Coons to a T: relaxed and laid back. I know this after living with 4 of them! An experience I’ll always treasure-they have all passed now, but I’ll never forget our time together. I took in a stray kitty off the busy street in front of our house. She turned out to be pregnant. Lo and behold she gave birth to Maine Coons. They were soooo coool.

He is so beautiful and happy and I love how he chirrups. I have a lovely little Tuxedo cat but if I had a Maine I would spend WAY too much time with my face buried in its fur.

Makes me miss my big ol Maine Coon cat named Fancy. He took up as much room,as a human in the bed. He was so sweet, cuddly, and very vocal. He could actually say mama, no, and a few other things. Very intelligent cat and I miss him,every day.

Some cats have the temperament of dogs. Maine Coon cats like this are bigger than some dogs. Exotic shorthairs also act like dogs. Friendly and intelligent.

I love how MCC'S meowpurr! They always know when we're talking about them. Like a typical cat they don't often come when called by name however, MCC'S respond with meowpurr's when you say their name. Gorgeous, wonderful felines they are!

I'm from Maine and never had a Coon but recently adopted a shelter kitty who must be part coon. Looks pretty much like Sean but imagine bright fuzzy orange. So sweet and smart and follows me around, greets me at the door, very talkative. I swear we have little conversations haha. I love him so much

Maine Coons are the greatest! Known for being very, very vocal, and also EXCELLENT hunters! I miss my Maine Coon Cat, Sir Joseph aka Joey. He was the King, and ALWAYS kept our garden free of neighborhood cats, groundhogs, and other pests. I had a second one, a female named Cuckoo Cat aka Caroline, who was also awesome at patrolling the yard and protecting the garden. RIP. These cats serve a purpose in nature, and are excellent companions. LOVE 'EM!!! Will definitely get another one...

My Maine Coon looks like she's part Ragamuffin, but she has an extensive Maine Coon vocabulary of different grunts, grumbles, trills, chatters, snores and meows. I find it hilariously charming! She's so expressive & affectionate!
Oh my gosh, he looks and sounds just like my cat Tom , who sadly passed away 5 years ago, and I still miss him, he was such a character. He lived for food, wouldn't go out in the snow, and always made a beeline for my Mum every time she visited. Long live pets and the joy they bring - until they leave us!

He talks IDENTICALLY to our old cat The Budster Buddy. Buddy was a great big boy with orange beige fur and a giant fluff tail and huge proud mIne ruff. So fluffy we had to brush him seversl times daily or get knots and clumps. We tried everything to help his constant fur ball upchucks poor guy. Oh how we loved him such a sweetie pie cat. Cuddled
We had to get him a pet kitten of his own ...both boys but he mothered White Sox like a baby that was a plush haired (short plushed) part Siamese grey blue with perfect tips on feet paws and a perfect tuxedo chest and mustached green eyed. So cute. I keep seeing these beautifully exact Buddy furred White Socks colored mix replicas in a maine coone. They are by far the greatest cats of all. Pinterest has got some out of this world maine coone greys. Congrats for your getting a sweet talker and sweetheart cat! Buddy sounded exactly like Sean Coonery.he lived about 18 yrs.

We have an albino male cat,who was born deaf,but he is tell in us stuff all the time! Makes the coolest kitty sounds! He's got a green right eye,and a blue left eye! We adopted him from the shelter,and will happily have him for the rest of his life! He's adorable,and an awesome little guy!! Sooo fluffy,and pure white,with pink ears,and noes,and toes!!
