Damien Rice? I found him on youtube ... I bought his album then. I am very touched by his music and singing now. Thank you Damien Rice. (I know - Closer title song and so on ... but I really FOUND him only after then. On youtube.... when I searched for the "closer" title song :)
my god he jammed the crap out of that song. I've always wondered what to do with that breakdown part with just me and my guitar....that....thats what you do, rip a hole in reality with your rock! In a cave! Damn thats good stuff.
What an awesome place to play. I'd LOOOOOVE to experience the acoustics in a cave.... 'Course I'd also love that many people show up to one of my shows too...but....
Although I still miss Lisa's haunting vocals in Damien Rice's songs, I must say that he performs this particular one perfectly on his own. It sort of puts more of an emphasis on his talent, and more importantly, his ultimatum.
Yeah, and he stayed and talked to people. It was fantastic. I can understand why you came all the way from Scotland. It was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity, to see him play a venue like that.
