Here’s a review of Souk Waqif boutique Hotel by Tivoli.
There’s a total of 9 hotels all under one banner.
We stayed at the Al Jomork, the hotel itself was clean, staff were very friendly.
All hotels are located within 200 metres of each other.
I found that Al Bidda hotel would have been better as it was much bigger and cleaner.
The pool was located in Al Mirqab hotel, however the hotel costs about £10-£15 more per day.
Guests from all 9 boutique hotels can still use it for free.
The pool wasn’t busy at all, it has a locker, changing room etc and are very clean, however once I jumped in the pool I noticed birds constantly coming over to drink water.
There was a lot of bird droppings around the back of the pool and a large amount of droppings in the pool.
I decided not to use the pool, which was a shame as the temperature was soaring.
Finally, we booked directly with Tivoli as they were the cheapest, please make sure they charge you the amount quoted on your actual booking and keep a print out as they over charged us by £80 but then arranged a refund when we showed them the original booking.
Souk Waqif has plenty of shops, restaurants and children entertainment, most kids activities like camel & horse riding located near hotel Al Jomrok.
Across the road from Al Jomrok there another Souk, the Filipino market which offers loads shops and restaurants where the prices are kept so much lower than Souq Waqif.
To get around use Uber it’s much cheaper than the normal taxis.
