In all my years, I never expected this to be commissioned. What's crazy is how well it works in thematic standpoints. The fight is something I see being very interesting, as both have reality manipulation, in their own worlds exactly. However I see Flowey winning, just because he actually knows how to fight, unlike Monika who's just a schoolgirl who's self aware.
Do you think Monika's love would be able to replicate Frisk's determination? Frisk was able to survive Flowey fucking with the save files through determination, and Monika similarly was able to survive her character being deleted through her love of the MC.
@@hmalba7864 I feel like it would honestly, plus starting Undertale would give you the neutral route automatically, whether if frisk goes pacifist or killed only around 4 enemies. Since Monika deleted 3 of the characters, plus her being a human, the fight would have to go onto the neutral route, so Flowey would gain access to the souls. But even then, since Monika is human (kinda), the souls would betray Flowey, probably giving Monika the W. Honestly, this would be really interesting to see as an official episode
Normal Flowey wouldn't stand a chance, but it depends if Monika could delete Asriel and Omega Flowey's files. If she needs time to do it, Flowey could just keep resetting her back to the start point of the battle, not giving her enough time to delete Flowey.
Yeah Monika can stop people from saving and loading files. She also can delete from if she has been deleted like she did Sayori after she was deleted already. Even Omega Flowey doesn’t have a wincon unfortunately q

Yep, this is the best Flowey match up I've seen. Better than Bill Cipher, better than Gygas. It just works so well, and could genuinely be an actual Death Battle episode.
Weirdly enough, as soon as I saw this track, I just *knew* what the theme of it would be: a song that starts happy and progressively descends into madness as both characters get more and more desperate to destroy the other via the use of the code and files of the game. And needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. The song starts with a pretty tense note series as if to signal that something's not going well there but then it sheers up and becomes fully joyful from 0:11 to 0:33 as if to hide this "wrongfullness" that's happening behind the curtains. And at 0:33 we get a full segment where both happy and tense segments come into shock to showcase something electronic and almost epic. It's not utter madness at all, but something's wrong there: definitely not how a "regular" flower and a "regular" girl should behave. The song and the characters themselves notice this shift in the song, however and stop themselves for a bit at 0:56-1:03, calming their murderous urges before restarting into this joyful and lighthearted song, keeping up their mask for a bit. This doesn't last long, however, as at 1:24-1:36 we get the first glimpses into full insanity that the song will give out. This, of course, comes across as a complete shock to the song as it takes it until 1:58 to fully recover and restart this epic/almost tragic main chorus that then slowly starts to shift back to this happy and lighthearted fake atmosphere at 2:21 and 2:32. Yet, once again, this facade breaks at 2:55-3:06 as the song descends into insanity once again. Yet this time instead of "breaking" like it did earlier and recovering, it keeps a very tense atmosphere for quite a while, up to 3:29 where the song itself doesn't know if it should fully embrace the insanity, with the heavier piano notes, or keep its happy font, with the lighter piano notes. It gives it another shot at 3:40 as the song restarts being joyful but it barely lasts as we can hear the song crumbling into insanity at 3:51 as it fights to regain "control" of itself but miserably fails, going deeper and deeper into this madness each time it stumbles. And then we get something quite interesting as the song calms down again, "taking its breath" for a bit at 4:25 before giving one last shot at this happy and joyous feeling to end it all as we get an almost complete finale with a climax and crescendo where it seems as if this happy facade isn't just a facade anymore but actually what the song really is about for a bit. This is all for naught, however, as we get a final descent into madness at 5:22, ruining everything and leaving the song to end on a dreadful note. Really, the whole progression of the song and the duality of its "happy" font only to, from time to time, slowly leak out this madness and insanity perfectly reflect both characters. Now I know Monika much less than Flowey so correct me if I'm wrong but I believe she also is in the same case of "not exactly evil, just absolutely awful methods" that Flowey falls into. And both are absolutely tragic characters to some extent as Flowey is apathic at best due to having *freaking died* as Asriel and Monika only wants to be noticed by the Player. So having this song actually have quite a big feeling of sadness and tragedy (IE: 1:36-1:58) is something that's really appreciated. I also really like the ending of the song where it tries *oh-so hard* to just feel happy and joyful up to the end but miserably fails. It's a great representation of, at the very least, Flowey as, given this would be Neutral/Genocide run due to the fact that it'd be Asriel if it were True Pacifist run, Flowey never gets its happy ending. Even in the neutral run, Flowey still gets an extremely bittersweet ending which is a good reflection here where you think everything will end well but it collapses one last time at the last second, ruining it all. Overall this song is honestly amazingly well built. I mostly went over what the *song itself* felt like and not what the characters would be doing but I could very easily do so if I had more knowledge of the two (and if I had any gosh damn idea how both of them could actually fight) which shows that the writing of this song is of great quality. I must also mention that, aside from the great storytelling, the song is also just really catchy at times even if it's obviously fragmented to fit the characters better. Notable examples would be the 0:34-1:02, 1:36-1:58 and 5:22-5:33 segments which I particularly like (both of which repeat throughout the song, of course). While this is honestly not a song that I'd be listening very often as it has a lot of different atmospheres and feelings going through it, making it somewhat unfit to be an ambiance track when doing something on the side, it most definitely is a very unique and fitting song for both characters that takes the best out of both of their personalities to make a track that I couldn't see how you'd be able to make it more fitting. In the end, This Feeling may be Neutral but My Appreciation Is Positive for this song (hey, I can make bad name puns too, Death Battle doesn't have exclusive rights to that yet). Amazing work as always.
Monika basically falls into that territory, where she just wants to be noticed by the person who's playing the game. Yeah her methods were absolutely horrible, but she had no other choice since the game wasn't programmed to have a "Monika route" Overall, this was a fun read and really well done, awesome job!
Man this is pretty... cheerful tense? Dont know how to describe it but its what i imagine 'cute on the outside psycho on the inside to Sound like' Going with Flowey on this one. He could just reset Monikas actions.
From what I know is that Monika's hax far supercede Flowey's as they alter the code and bring of a character. Resetting won't do much good if she straight up removes the option or lower Flowey's IQ
Monika could Kamikaze the entire game if it came down it, and it would count as a victory since it was her who get the final attack. She can also disable saving as a system.
Art that represents Flowey: The yellow flower (obviously) TV with 7 souls (references the Omega Flowey boss fight which required 6 souls and the soul of Determination could reference how Flowey was injected with Determination) The barrier/Asgore boss fight area (referencing where Flowey got the 6 souls from and how he broke the barrier when he was Asriel) Art that references Monika: Notebook and pen (obviously since she is the president of the Literature Club) Literature club room?(Don't see it in Undertale and I don't know what that room actually is so I can only assume) Glitches (you could argue that it references both)

Lowkey don't know how this would work, as awesome as this is; Flowey HEAVILY leans on the Fourth Wall and is responsible for some Fourth Wall-breaking visuals, but seemingly doesn't know he's fictional, whereas Monika is not powerful in the context of her "intended" storyline like later forms of Flowey, and is a threat specifically because she realized she's fictional and so breaks her own game to her favor. How would they interact??? Is Monika invading Undertale, and if so can she even do that to begin with? If she can, can she actually do anything to a code she's not a part of? While these two share similarities, I feel they kind of exist on different planes.
Monika coming to Undertale, would mean she WILL and CERTAINLY catch the eyes of the annoying dog. Flowey invading the literature club would mean Monika is well within her ability to delete flowey.
@@gameuniverse5973 But what would the neutral grounds be in this instance? And assuming their powers are on the same plane of existence, isn't Photoshop Flowey just as capable of warping reality? He literally took over the entirety of existence essentially, heck the only reason there's a "fight" at all is because he's deliberately toying with and torturing you, whenever you come back in that fight it's because he _makes_ you. Monika took a while before she managed to take over the whole game, clearly still figuring out how to do things and instead causing deaths with her powers before managing to outright delete everyone. She also doesn't really have any direct combat feats to speak of outside of deletion, and if she _can_ delete Flowey he can always just kinda... reset it. I don't see her winning so easily.

I love how the most central instrument through the whole song is the piano, seeing as how that’s the instrument Monika plays at the end of DDLC. So it gives off the vibe that she’s actually playing the piano for this song. Favorite track from you so far Brandon!
Both Monika and Flowey have a LOT in common in terms of character archtypes and abilities. But there's one key difference that'll make them fight. One wants the Player DEAD. The other wants the Player all to themselves.
I feel like this fight will go this way: Monika learn that she managed to jump into another game, She get attacked by flowey who mistake her for firsk by having a determination soul of her own. She get hurt by his attack and imidiatly realizes she in big danger if she doesn't do something... She Try to delete him bit has no openings to succefully delete him without being interrupted by his attacks as Omega flowey. Suddenly she starts hearing the souls who call for help which make her realize what going on and as the souls give their help to monika she slolwy start to remember the good times she had with her friends before she became self aware.... realizing even tho they were fake they were still her friend and instead of deleting flowey she try to save asriel which essentially would mean defeating omega flowey first. The two keep fighting until she finally gets an opportunity to access the files and mess with Flowey.chr files. She then let him attack one Last which look like he landed the killing blow but it actually does 0 damage to her just when her health is at 1 hp. She then erases photoshop flowey and replaces him with asriel who wonders what happen as she smiles making a new friend in asriel. Essentially killing the bad side of both fighters but only monika ending as the victorious one. Ps. She's pretty smart soo she can probably figure out the mechanics of undertale in time for it to save her life and keep her alive long enough for her get a boost that might let her win the fight.
An alternate ending would be if Flowey wins, the souls would convince Flowey to bring Monika back (he'd agree because she reminds him of Chara when he was Asriel or something) Monika would be surprised about it and Flowey would apologize for what he's done. Flowey than would decide to befriend her and the rest of the Literature Club, with either Monika giving Flowey emotions or turning Flowey into Asriel. (If the second option is chosen, as they walk away, you see a yellow flower, showcasing that Asriel has now moved from the past as Flowey and has chosen a fresh start)
@@Annihilate0405 yup I can see both endings probably happening since it essentially make them both reenact their respective Redemption after they are *defeated* Tho I wonder of monika would ask asriel about the world beyond the screen and if he knows of a way to get to the one she loves.
LETS GO I KNOW WE WOULD GET THIS SOMDAY it sounds really light hearted like flowy and monika but when they switch their personalitys the music starts to change dark and creepy nice detail brandon your name on the bottom
"There's no need to save anymore. I'm not going anywhere :)" Flowey is a much stronger fighter, but I think that's where his advantages end. He doesn't have the gamebreaking control Monika does, his only way to get rid of someone who refuses to die like Frisk is to beat them until they give up. Monika could delete him or break his mind or remove the human souls, his saves would protect him at first but she can just delete those too. There's also the chance the souls would turn against him to help what they think is another human. Flowey just has to face reality.
Deleting Flowey would take a lot more effort than DDLC, since in DDLC they were designed to be single files for easy deletion. Plus like, what can Monika really do to defend herself? The big question is whether or not Monika can be killed by traditional means. Sure, she somehow survived after being deleted, but if she’s say bombed to death does she somehow live that? Plus who’d be in control? Monika does have total control over DDLC, as does anyone that is the leader of the literature club. Flowey also has massive control when he has the souls, changing the game’s name to Floweytale, control and manual use of saves, and the ability to crash the game. Seeing as Flowey isn’t exactly aware he’s in a video game, Monika has the advantage in this regard and could greatly disrupt him. While deletion is possible, it’d take a lot more effort to get rid of Flowey than the DDLC crew. I think the souls rebelling is honestly up to personal opinion. I don’t think Monika could reach out to them being soulless herself. But honestly it’s still perfectly reasonable if you think otherwise
ye but flowey would be hard to delete and omega flowey its own code and multiple sprites and coding, even if they remove the attacks and omega flowey lost against frisk because of calling the souls for help but i don't think the souls will help monika, and flowey already destroyed the save file and make it's own save file and is now the owner of the game
Flowey has deleted files before so he could delete any chance of her deleting him and monika friend didn’t have that type of control of there files like flowey so couldn’t resist being deleted but flowey has control over his files
Actually another thing that I realized is that The player Plays frisk in Undertale if monika found her way into Undertale and she saw the player being attacked she would probably Try to protect them and start the fight that way.
Flowey for the win. I know Monika can delete save files and prevent people from saving, but Flowey has that same power. Plus, he can override Monika's control just like he did to Frisk, and Monika isn't omnipotent. She was stopped by deletion, and she can't really fight unlike Flowey who lives for carnage.
@@gameuniverse5973 The player isn’t as powerful as Flowey, especially in his Omega form. Monika can try to delete him, but he’d reset over and over before she had a chance to. Same if she tried to override his save which he wouldn’t let her.
Well shit, whoever commissioned this just likes to see everyone shit their pants . Just the thought of these two just exiat is ver evil, i don't want to see these two in the same room. This one is very spooky creepy, love it. Thanks Brandon, just in time.
Monika's got this one. She can end it within 10 seconds. All she has to do is hack Flowey's body and erase him. She did it to her friends. Its childs play for her
Flowey FTW. His spacial authority is on par if not greater than monika with the human souls and his save file antics means monika will be send back to zero before she can get a single line of code written
The problem with that is that the ending of DDLC pretty much negates a lot of Flowey's strong points. Monika can disable the save function and straight up kamikaze the entire game if it comes to it. And no matter what Flowey does, she can still function even after literally being deleted from the game.
@Sptflcrw There's nothing stopping her from deleting herself and then finishing him off. She'd still have full control over the code, and Flowey would have nothing left to attack. Plus, the end credits shows each individual piece of the game being deleted one at a time, meaning she could still delete specific aspects. That's also why Sayouri was the first to go again before the credits went out. Even with no physical body left, Monika was still alive.
Characters who have neutral feelings show their inner evil, 9/10 Brandon Never expected to like a Doki Doki VS track, but it was, surprisingly good Track Idea Sabes A Lo Que Me Refiero (Juan Lopez vs Ernest P Worrell) (David Lopez vs Hey Vern, Its Ernest)
Monika + is potentially faster + can see the files - is not stronger can only manipulate her game - has a limited amount of ability’s Flowey + can manage to turn into Asriel dreamer or omega Flowey + has unlimited power in his dreamer or omega form + is stronger + can cancel any attempt of monika deleting him
I'm a huge Undertale fan and I want to point out something a lot of people don't seem to be considering. In Undertale, monsters use attacks that directly target the SOUL. That's why when you're defeated, the red heart that you control in battle snaps in half. That's the player character's soul being destroyed. That's also why monsters disintigrate when they're killed, as their physical bodies are part of their souls. Monika is not human. Monika is not a monster. Disregaurding unconfirmed theories (such as Monika being the consciousness of a real person,) Monika cannot have a SOUL. None of Flowey, Omega Flowey, or even Asriel Dremurr's attacks matter, because they couldn't actually hurt her. In truth, this battle comes down to which one can delete the other out of existence first, and there's only one character here who's been shown to do that. Monika. Just Monika. You might be thinking, "Wait, can't Flowey delete Monika's SAVE file, like he does before his Neutral route fight?" And you're right, he does do that. But , again, Monika can physically erase parts of a game. She has greater reality control that Flowey in that regard. Remember, saving and loading in Undertale is a form of reality manipulation granted by Determination, but it's still done by creating new save files and loading them. Given that both characters retain their memories in a new save file of their respective games, Monika would very quickly realize what Flowey is doing, and would just be able to delete the save files that Flowey's creating. In short, Monika's reality manipulation seems to be much stronger than Flowey's, and without a concrete way for Flowey to actually hurt her, it's really only a matter of time until Monika figures out how to get rid of him.
It's also worth pointing out that Monika shows awareness of the player's computer as a whole, such as detecting if a streaming/recording program is running. Flowey is only ever able to manipulate UNDERTALE and its files. Neither character ever really *fully* manipulates things outside of the files of their respective games, but Monika shows more awareness of it than Flowey does. On top of that, the six human SOULS Flowey absorbes to become Photoshop/Omega Flowey can be turned against him and rebel. He can still save/load as a flower, but he specifically note whenever you start a new save file that he can't save anymore because "your will for this world appears to be overriding mine." All of this to say, Flowey can be overpowered. He's got a lot more weaknesses than Monika, and this is coming from someone who LOVES Undertale. Even I have to admit, Monika wins this.
I feel there'd definitely be one moment of "How the hell did you do that?" Where one tries to instant erase the other only for them to have a counter. E.g. both are aware of save states, so after initially killing one, they just go back, since they can both break the fourth and they are aware when it happens. A bit like Reverse Flash and Goku Black's "WHAY ARENT YOU DEAD?" Probably followed by "Oh great, you can do that too?"

the code of undertale is likely different and yes i agree the souls ain't helping monika so omega flowey can't be turn back to base by souls. and omega flowey works differently
Flowey would probably win this, Monika isn't really experienced in combat, you could argue that Monika can erase Flowey but honestly, i don't think it would work cause this fight would probably take place in the Undertale universe, or a mix of both. If this is Omega Flowey we are talking about it, i don't think Monika would stand a chance against someone who can manipulate time itself, plus i think Monika would get overwhelmed by Flowey's danmaku abilities.
If Monika has access to the console it basically makes her the most op thing ever, she messes with the player saves and resets the game just like flowey so they’re basically both god at that point
Bendy vs Monika? Is that a real matchup or a joke matchup? Either way, the winner depends on the version of Bendy you use. Game Bendy (whether Bendy or Ink Demon/Beast Bendy) gets stomped, Cartoon Bendy would stomp due to not having code for Monika to erase and composite Bendy depends on whether you give Bendy code or not.
Okay, little late leaving this comment, but to the person who commissioned this match up, I must say I'm definitely sold on it. I might not be a big fan of Undertale but I respect it for the impact it had. Doki Doki Literature Club is a game I really love, I will play it one day but for now I'm settling with occasionally watching let's plays of it. It seems fitting that the only means of DDLC getting a commission is through literally the only character with definite feats in the game, that being the poster girl herself. All in all I must say, this commission track is just right (or should I say "Just Monika"?) and even got me back into watching let's plays of DDLC. I must ask, will we possibly get a version with vocals? If so, who could we possibly get for Monika? Will Brandon get one of his friends like Futakuchi Mana or Lady Igiko? Or perhaps a big name in the DDLC fandom who's well known for singing as the character, like OR3O? Guess time will only tell.
I must add, regardless of who wins I think it's safe to say that that fourth wall won't be surviving the fight, let alone the analysis. I can even imagine the winner messing with Wiz and Boomstick after their victory. Here's what I imagine: * If Flowey wins: I haven't really watched much let's plays of Undertale or played it, but I've seen images of how creepy Flowey can be, so I feel he might give an evil smile at the camera if he wins * If Monika wins: let's be real, I love Monika but she be terrifying, especially if she were to blow a kiss at the camera if she took out Flowey. I wonder who she would be blowing a kiss at, the audience or Wiz and Boomstick? I'm honestly genuinely surprised seeing a lot of people agree that Monika wins this one, I wouldn't mind if Flowey wins so long as Death Battle explains that well but I would love to see Monika win.
Very cool music indeed, i believe im going to put the W on monika, before you guys tell me, yes i know monika cant fight, but, she can disable flowey's ability to save and load, she can also just delete all save files flowey had, and even if she is deleted she can still do things in her own game, as in, monika cannot be destroyed, i know flowey can just turn to omega flowey and crush monika, but remember how DDLC was gonna have a festival day? Instead it ends with sayori dying, Meaning she changed the event on the entire game, she could code the souls to betray flowey like she did to yuri, sayori and natsuki, or straight up delete his ability to transform as omega flowey, dont get me wrong i love Undertale, But so does Doki Doki Literature Club, i believe monika gets the win on this one
This would be an amazing episode if Monika actually had combat feats that allowed her to work in a VS setting, aside from her ability to mess with game files she’s featless.
Ah yes! The Undertale and DDLC fandom crossover! It's been awhile since the last 2016/17 what a good nostalgia. The Sans and Monika meet up. The cringe ships over the place can you guys remember the feeling eh guys.... Just Monika... Just Monika.... Just- FLOWEY!!!! I..... AM..... GOD!!!! NOW THAT'S A WONDERFUL IDEA!!
Now that I think about it: Let's say the Literature Club are a field nearby the school and Flowey just pops up. After they get over their initial shock, how would the DDLC react to Flowey? (Assuming Flowey doesn't attack anyone)
Sayori would try to keep everyone calm but be really scared, Natsuki would be similar except acting tough, Yuri would probably just nope out of there. Either way I think Flowey would end up taking their SOULs and become Asriel
Aa weird as this matchup is, I love it. It has the potential to get wild with the visuals and forth wall breaks. As to who wins, I say Monika, her hax's are just too much for Flowey, yes he can mess with the game, but that's only in his Omega Flowey state, and even then he never showed the capability to go as far as to messing with the code and files of the game itself, Monika can and has been doing that for like half the game, physically killing her likely wouldn't work. I mean she was still alive even after her character file was erased, which earlier in the game when Sayori had hers deleted she was erased from existence to the point where even going back in time couldn't bring her back, and when Monika had hers deleted, she still had the power to bring back everything she previously deleted in seconds, and then speak out and mess with the files even more after realizing that Sayori was starting to become like her. So even after being erased from existence, she was still still alive and able to use her powers like nothing happened, so you could technically kill her with physical damage, but she can continue the fight like nothing happened. So she can come back from a level of power far higher than anything Flowey has. And on top of that, Flowey doesn't have anything to imply he could resist this level of erasure, yes the power of reset can bring him back upon death, but it hasn't saved him from something as bad as having his character file erased, infact as previously mentioned, when Monika erased Sayori's character file she wasn't able to come back even after the timeline had been reset, so Monika can just delete Flowey's character file and boom, she wins. Tldr, Flowey doesn't have an effective option to put Monika down, while Monika had the perfect method of permanently getting rid of Flowey.
I agree that Monika wins for the same reasons that you came to, but a few small corrections. Flowey does technically "delete" the player's save file, though not as literally as Monika does. Also, Flowey is able to save/load outside of Omega Flowey, just not as frequently. This is backed up by the fact that Flowey was created by injecting Determination into a flower, and Determination is specifically stated to be what allows someone to save/load.
You know, if a normal child can beat Flowey, I really don't see why Monika can't. She's got pretty good feats, and though she may suck complete balls at it, she's at least competent enough to know how to delete characters. And if the world becomes too messed up, that's where Toby Fox'd come in and fix everything. Yeah, Flowey's got some great feats and has six souls backing him up, but considering he doesn't have full control over saves and resets anymore, since Monika can disable those... Monsters are naturally weak to killing intent anyway. I'd argue Monika has this.
@@roast_beef I mean, Frisk isn't entirely normal, but in universe, they're just kind of a human that's just high on Determination and really kind/influencable
@@Zoroarkarceus123 yea, but like, have you seen the crap they pull with it? I mean, there was a commission of them vs. batter who if I remember correctly, is also really freakin strong
@@roast_beef Frisk is combat aversive in canon, meaning that against monsters, they're relatively weak. That's my point with Monika, she wouldn't be as averse, and since monsters are weak to killing intent, she'd have an easier time widdling him down
Monika: Huh? A flower? Flowey: Howdy! Im Flowey! Im your new best friend^^ Monika: Well you seem harml- Flowey: *creepy face* DIE! *pebbles thrown at Monika* Monika: Woah! Jeez! Ill take that back your evil one. *giggles* Well...I can just delete you now^^ *FIGHT*
If Monika has access to the console she basically has as much reality manipulation as flowey does if not more, it would basically be the equivalent of an exploiter just cheating their way through the omega flowey fight however she would be obviously screwed if she did not have access
@@dando541 Flowey would definitely be stronger in this fight than in his fight with frisk though. Like I said, the souls would actually be on his side this time. He’d be far stronger. Plus only one person at a time within the underground can have the power of saving and resetting. Flowey lost the ability when frisk fell due to their amount of determination compared to Flowey’s. Monika likely doesn’t even have a soul considering the lore of ddlc, so the determination of six souls definitely outweighs the determination of zero. And flowey can’t travel outside of the universe of undertale without a seventh soul so the fight would have to take place in the universe of undertale. Flowey wins no doubt.
@@puglife658 The souls being on Flowey’s side doesn’t give him any more power, it just lets him keep that power since they won’t rebel and get rid of him. Undertale and DDLC are obviously not made to interact together which makes this debate very difficult, so I’m not sure if more determination would be able to override presidential powers which work completely differently and just give whoever’s president the file perms. Even then Monika’s deleted form is still able to use the console to get rid of Sayori even though Sayori’s president during act 4. I don’t think Monika’s able to get out of her universe normally either so you’d have to stretch some boundaries and have the fight either take place in an area neither of them are familiar with or have it be a combination of both worlds which have collided. If Monika has access to the console she can just delete the souls which is straight up stupid but if she doesn’t it’s literally just a teenager vs god which feels equally stupid
@@dando541 ok let’s say they both have access to all their abilities. Monika probably wins but not by a lot. Probably like a 60/40% chance between them. In a realistic fight, Monika doesn’t have any motivation to fight against flowey while Flowey doesn’t need any motivation. Monika shows she doesn’t persist for long if you go a while without opening ddlc and she’s shown to have left. By sheer willpower in a realistic fight taking their personalities into account flowey wins no doubt.
@@puglife658 Yea I think Monika would be thrilled to see someone who can actually understand what she’s going through, but Flowey would use the opportunity to trick her and probably claim the kill. Also I thought the thing about her leaving if you didn’t open ddlc for too long was for the After Story mod, correct me if I’m wrong since I haven’t seen base act 3 in a long time but iirc she just talks and talks until you delete her
*Math and Literature* Baldi vs Monika (Baldi’s Basic in Education and Learning vs Doki Doki Literature Club) *Death Battle music* Wiz: School, is a great place to learn and gain education. But make no mistake, don’t ever cross these two in the hallway. Boomstick: You’re in for a great hell of cross paths with these guys. Wiz: Their glitchy, uncontrollable temper and power is insane. Boomstick: I always told my mom I didn’t want to go to school, but this is ridiculous. Wiz: Baldi, the insane math teacher who spanks people with a ruler. Boomstick: And Monika, the president of the literature club. He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick. Wiz: And we’re here to analyze their skills, weapons, and abilities to see who would win in a Death Battle.
Flowey literally messes around with timelines and has his Photoshop form and can become Asriel, he only got beaten because determination in Undertale was that strong, Flowey turns to Asriel and hyper beams her to death, she literally got beaten by my computer mouse, plus she can’t even fight and takes advantage of the weaker characters like the girls in the Literature Club that make her seem strong and only has hax to rely on which Flowey has a better hax arsenal. Flowey FTW. Edit: Monika only wins if she deletes the game along with herself and Flowey, Flowey stomps more often than not due to massively superior stats.
@@GermanKinsmen Shes still vulnerable to getting her file deleted by Flowey, that fact that we can beat her by deleting her file (Yes she was able to still be around after she got her file deleted and after Sayori becomes self aware at the end of DDLC, but that does not mean he can’t incap her which he can do and easily at that.) proves my point, Monika has no combat feats whatsoever, she’s basically a normal human with reality warping and hax but not on the level of Photoshop Flowey or Asriel plus has fought against Frisk who has the same ability as him so Monika changing the code to the game is not going to help her one bit but he can sense if she’s going to do that, he has variety of attacks just as nuke looking bombs, flys, flamethrowers, laser beams and that fact that he can delete Monika over and over again and put her through a loop of save and load files.
Monika can still manipulate the game even after being deleted, with little to no hindrance. At the end of DDLC, she was literally erased from the game but still intervened to stop Sayouri. But Flower has all that save file stuff and can keep going back. I really feel like this is the ultimate case of unstoppable force meets movable object. But I think the breaking factor is that she can also pull a kamikaze and delete the entire game itself if it came down to it, while Flowey at best, could only cause it to crash. Death Battle rules state that a suicide move gives the win to whoever does it.
@@CeHee123 All she did was delete Sayori along with the game after she became self aware, other than that, she did nothing after that, plus that kills her too after she deleted the game, so that would be a draw (that’s IF she can even react to Flowey) Monika has no combat feats while Flowey on the other hand does, she gets blitzed and one shotted to death, and the fact that Flowey was only toying around with Frisk/player and has no intention in the deleting the game cause where’s the fun in that for him, the dude literally messes around with timelines and has warped reality on a higher scale than Monika, and Frisk has the same ability as Flowey and he could not outright delete Flowey in his Photoshop form, so he has experience in dealing with people who can manipulate files so Monika ain’t doing anything here Flowey can also sense when the files are being messed with and or anything happens to them, deleting her will still incap her.

A lot of people say Flowey wins because he has actual combat experience, and Monica's just a school girl, but; Flowey has the power to save/reset. Monica can manipulate game files. Someone who straight up hacks will generally win over someone who exploits game mechanics, assuming he doesn't reset and kill her into oblivion the way he likely did to the grayscale monster kid, and said he'd do to Frisk in the pacifist route. I like the thematic similarities though. Both can manipulate game mechanics/game code because they're 4th-wall-aware, put on false, friendly faces only to be revealed as main antagonists. Flowey gets revealed WAY earlier though. Monica's just mad because she's a dating sim character that can't be dated. They also stick around after things that should normally kill them with feeling alone. Monica sticking around after deletion with her love for the player to delete everything and play your reality, and flowey admits in the Genocide route that his first reset was after suicide because he had 0 emotions. And we all know you need serious determination to save/reset in undertale. Anyway, good song as always Brandon. Like how the piano is a nod to your reality.
@@fireball9403 that's true but Resetting the play file might not reset flowey's or Monica's code. She can just keep going and finish Flowey off by corrupting him in increments, adding up to a couple irl hours or so, while Flowey may have to kill her hundreds of thousands of times taking much longer. Not to mention it may get continually harder as she sets his power stats to nothing. After all, save/resetting doesn't save Sayori.
@@fireball9403 no way I can tell. All I know is that save states don't bring the girls back after they're corrupted, but resets in Undertale changes the "fun" value, a code which, when set to a certain number, is the only way to even encounter goner kid, the only way I can see Flowey putting Monica down for good, because her sticking around after being deleted at the end of her own game out of sheer love/will to fulfill her perceived purpose gives me serious "but it refused" vibes. I guess it depends on who's in who's game. In the literature club, where Code stays, and files stay corrupted in the face of save states, Monica takes the W. In the Underground, Flowey can keep hitting the button, undoing the code (aside from genocide complete value) while Monica's tryna find Flowey's stats. Who knows?

A love how your name is written in the picture. I know it's a DDLC reference, but just have charm. That said, you're know on Monika love list.
Yeah her methods were absolutely horrible, but she had no other choice since the game wasn't programmed to have a "Monika route"
Overall, this was a fun read and really well done, awesome job!
Well, you got the “puns” and “behavior” parts right, at least. The rest, I have no fuckin’ idea just how “I” should feel about that.

Going with Flowey on this one. He could just reset Monikas actions.
Probably, but Monika can alter personality traits, so she could win by just making Flowey really stupid by lowering his IQ.
Yeah, Monika can apparently corrupt or override save files.
Monika fucks up save files very easily in-game.

Monika knowing the script has been derailed transforms the clubroom into an empty clubroom in a void as flowey stares as monika sinisterly while monika holds her ground to the beast

(Flowey wins)
Monika kept trying to defend from flowey’s attacks by deleting them but alas she couldn’t defend forever and was overwhelmed she’s then grabbed by a vine struggling to get free
Flowey:aw what’s the matter? Can’t fight no more?
Monika:you can’t do this?”
Flowey:hehehe time to take your human soul
Flowey laughs as he stabs monika through the heart killing her instantly and flowey absorbs her soul to become Asriel dreamurr
Asriel:yes! Now this world is mine!
The void becomes a rainbow colour as the clubroom is replaced by a golden flower bed
(If monika wins)
Flowey kept trying to attack monika but her powers of a deletion proved to much for flowey as she eventually deleted every human soul leaving just flowey in his flower form flowey starts sweating and says
Flowey:huh look we could work together rule this world as king and queen sound fun?

With db rules there in neutral grounds so sadly Monika wins

Both Monika and Flowey have a LOT in common in terms of character archtypes and abilities. But there's one key difference that'll make them fight.
One wants the Player DEAD.
The other wants the Player all to themselves.
I feel like this fight will go this way:
Monika learn that she managed to jump into another game, She get attacked by flowey who mistake her for firsk by having a determination soul of her own.
@@Annihilate0405 yup I can see both endings probably happening since it essentially make them both reenact their respective Redemption after they are *defeated*
Tho I wonder of monika would ask asriel about the world beyond the screen and if he knows of a way to get to the one she loves.
That's a wholesome way to end the fight
Oh now this is a wonderful idea. Lovely track art, seemingly peaceful but for players we know this is going to be nerve racking.
LETS GO I KNOW WE WOULD GET THIS SOMDAY it sounds really light hearted like flowy and monika but when they switch their personalitys the music starts to change dark and creepy nice detail brandon your name on the bottom
"There's no need to save anymore. I'm not going anywhere :)"
Flowey is a much stronger fighter, but I think that's where his advantages end.
Monika literally survived that so she might be omnipotent while flowey has no proof he can
@@gameuniverse5973 Still, she can't fight, and Flowey has proven to be able to override someone's control over the game world.
@@tonysonic456 Monika has also shown being able to override control of the game from the player there multiple examples of that

Nah
Nope.
Monika can disable all of flowey stuff with him having no win con so sadly it a Monika win
@@CeHee123 except monika dies at the end of ddlc. If she kamikaze's, she dies and flowey is fine

@@fishyboi98 Monika also survived deletion so flowey has no real win cons
Imagining the banter between Flowey and Monkia is hilarious
I feel there'd definitely be one moment of "How the hell did you do that?" Where one tries to instant erase the other only for them to have a counter.
E.g. both are aware of save states, so after initially killing one, they just go back, since they can both break the fourth and they are aware when it happens. A bit like Reverse Flash and Goku Black's "WHAY ARENT YOU DEAD?"

Here's what I imagine:
* If Flowey wins: I haven't really watched much let's plays of Undertale or played it, but I've seen images of how creepy Flowey can be, so I feel he might give an evil smile at the camera if he wins
* If Monika wins: let's be real, I love Monika but she be terrifying, especially if she were to blow a kiss at the camera if she took out Flowey.
This would be an amazing episode if Monika actually had combat feats that allowed her to work in a VS setting, aside from her ability to mess with game files she’s featless.
imagine the whole fight it´s just boomstick watching on the computer.
Boomstick: wiz , the computer has virus again, blow up these things

Now that I think about it: Let's say the Literature Club are a field nearby the school and Flowey just pops up. After they get over their initial shock, how would the DDLC react to Flowey? (Assuming Flowey doesn't attack anyone)
Sayori would try to keep everyone calm but be really scared, Natsuki would be similar except acting tough, Yuri would probably just nope out of there. Either way I think Flowey would end up taking their SOULs and become Asriel
@@ningenslayer6306 I said that assuming Flowey DOESN'T attack anyone. Flowey just talks to them.
Damn Neutrals, you can never know what they're thinking
So in other words there's no way this fight could last six minutes?
@@fishyboi98 does not matter Monika shown corrupting save files so flowey even more dead
No point of saveing now. Hes just going to reload your own death over and over again.
Whyyy have I not found ur channel before I love crossovers so mucchhhhh
You know, if a normal child can beat Flowey, I really don't see why Monika can't. She's got pretty good feats, and though she may suck complete balls at it, she's at least competent enough to know how to delete characters. And if the world becomes too messed up, that's where Toby Fox'd come in and fix everything. Yeah, Flowey's got some great feats and has six souls backing him up, but considering he doesn't have full control over saves and resets anymore, since Monika can disable those... Monsters are naturally weak to killing intent anyway. I'd argue Monika has this.

Did you just call them a NORMAL child.

@@roast_beef Frisk is combat aversive in canon, meaning that against monsters, they're relatively weak. That's my point with Monika, she wouldn't be as averse, and since monsters are weak to killing intent, she'd have an easier time widdling him down

that title is genius and the music is really good too!
I think Monika's best matchup thematically is Miyuki Sone from Totono, but people actually know who Flowey is, so this is a worthy Monika matchup too.
Flowey’s got this. The souls won’t rebel against him versus someone as selfish and cruel as monika.
If Monika has access to the console she basically has as much reality manipulation as flowey does if not more, it would basically be the equivalent of an exploiter just cheating their way through the omega flowey fight
however she would be obviously screwed if she did not have access
Also I thought the thing about her leaving if you didn’t open ddlc for too long was for the After Story mod, correct me if I’m wrong since I haven’t seen base act 3 in a long time but iirc she just talks and talks until you delete her
My vote is on Monika due to having a bit more control over her game. Also I’m biased and have the Monika After Story Mod.

I would have to say Monika because he can effect more in Doki Doli then what Flowley can do in Undertale but this would be a close fight though
This matchup is very [MONIKA]!
That really doesn't matter when his opponent can delete the code in the game that allows his battle sequence to function.
@@GermanKinsmen but can't he just do the same?

Like how the piano is a nod to your reality.
you forgot the files monika corrupt is one single file of each person so this would take monika a while
@@fireball9403 that's true but Resetting the play file might not reset flowey's or Monica's code.
@@ayelosyundox2264 i think the code resets
Who knows?
