The people that were in front of him were the Tokyo Olympics athletes, not an actual crowd full of fans. There were fans tho but on the side of the arena and you can clearly hear them cheer for JJ at the beginning and at the end of the performence

@@rishitmurarka He has playback in some parts but even in those parts he is singing along. Most of the rappers do that because they don't work on vocals all the time. So they might struggle with some parts of the song. In recording they can take retakes but here they can't s they play safe.
