I've made about 40 pizzas on mine in the last 3 weeks. I agree on your estimate of the right temp. You definitely want to be on the left side of that zone. I was in the orange zone and ended up burning all of my pepperoni before the crust was done. Makes amazing Nachos too!
There is no end to all of the different combinations of pizzas that can be cooked in the pizza cooker. Just think how creative your daughter can be at making pizzas with you!!! Super video!!👍😊😎
Hussley!!! You’ve done it again!! Those pizzas looked delicious. Crunchy crust and great toppings. Great see Maggie and Hungry Daughter. Have a good week.
Off topic, but I tried something new this weekend... I sliced 4 whole jalapenos twice lengthwise from the top to the bottom. Threw them on the Blackstone on high with a little bit of oil, covered them with a Bounty paper towel and saturated the towel with water. Worked great and steamed them to perfection!
Shred your own cheese, there is powder of some kind to keep cheese from clumping. Put the pizza on a rack for a couple minutes when it is done to keep crust from getting moist. We like to dock our pizzas, less bubbles or meat falling off while cooking the pizza. I think we paid about $280.00 for our pizza oven 6 years ago
Cellulose is the anti-caking ingredient. Just one of the reasons I don’t used bagged & shredded cheese. My kitchen-aid stand mixer from the 60’s has the shredder/grinder attachment, so that’s the second reason I don’t buy bagged & shredded👍
That Harris Teeter cheese is actually pretty good stuff out of a bag. Most pizza places aren't doing fresh and people love it! I do get what you mean and I do love the fresh mozz as well! What I try to do is meet folks on all levels and show even someone who don't have pizza making skills can do it! haha
Evening, Sir. While in college I worked at a pizza joint for 4.5 years. It takes a few weeks of constantly shaping doughs to get it down. But once you get the hang of it, it’s second nature. An easier version is tavern style that uses a rolling pin, docked and a cutter pan. The next hardest was pulling from the oven at the right time, easy to burn pizza at high temps, our ovens ran at 650F. I love the concept of the Blackstone pizza, believe they made one a while back but it was discontinued. My only concern is how do you clean that pizza stone? One failed pizza launch will make a mess of that stone? Anyway, appreciate your videos. I got a Blackstone flat top on Father’s Day of last year and have been a huge fan since. Appreciate you’s.
Hi James! I've messed the stone up a time or two already. Haha. However, I just crank the flame up and it burns off. If it's real bad, I'll flip it over and deal with it later on that other side. The flame gets so hot, it'll clean the stone well. Blackstone also has a large brush with a scraper that can be used.
HH, great video! I’d love this oven, but not sure about the price. We have a “brick oven” attachment on our gravity fed charcoal grill that we use - it’s amazing. What kind of store bough dough did you use? It turned out great!!

You're all good Frank. She watches a lot of those shows. haha. The pizza was great and we enjoyed it. Was it perfect, heck no. I'm just trying to learn this. It's been a fun ride so far though.
I have to say I don't like where Blackstone is going with their products, price wise at least. This pizza oven costs $800. I wonder how much better it is than my original Blackstone pizza oven that only cost $150? I can get that up to around 1000 degrees, but it doesn't have a window, so maybe that's where the other $650 went.
Honestly, I don't know Jon. I'm just trying to bring some upbeat videos to the table here. I don't have the original. I do know the double wall construction is an additional feature than the previous. Cast iron plate the bottom stone sits on is an upgrade. The original patio oven wasn't $150 though. I'd like to buy a half ton pickup for what they were 5 yrs ago too, but that's not an option either.
@@clinteastwood4704 Inflation is bad, but that's not the issue. In fact, frivolous items like this are down in price because so much more is going to food and gas. No, Blackstone products are more expensive because they're probably going for higher margin, lower volume products. Maybe they are selling as much as they can produce, and don't want to invest in manufacturing considering where the economy is going, or maybe it's a reaction to the supply side disruption we had during covid. Either way, it's sad to see them straying from their roots of quality affordable products.
How would a make your own personal pan pizza party do on the channel. I’d love to buy the blackstone to have guests over making their own pizza. Yea. Everyday people can't use a pizza oven for just that... I mean at that price how often is this thing gonna be used to negate the fact it cost so much.... I'm out on this one hussey!
