I just bought mine (Blackstone Pizza Oven & Cart) from Walmart and have not cooked on it yet. But I will update you soon. These reviews helped me make my decision with a 16" pizza oven and a rotating stone. The key was the burner its massive quick pizza's I can't wait to bring the family over for Pizza night!!!
Great run through and process Todd. This is a great pizza oven for sure. After getting the new griddle and then the 22-inch eseries with a large bunch of accessories, this will have to wait a bit and at the price, that's a serious investment you want to use a lot.
That thing is basically your home oven set outside with a stone thrown in it. Not a brick oven, which is what you would want to build if you were spending money on it.
Would love one but I just took my first gen stainless steel 36” and a beef eater pizza oven and made a pizza oven with a plasma cutter also would love to see a switch on the rotation so it could be switched off for loading and unloading. nice tutorial though, another great product by blackstone
Cool to have I bet! I couldn't justify spending $800 for something that cooks very close to the same as my $20 stone in my oven. Now I'd spend that on a real wood fire oizza oven though! Whole different flavor
A big thank you to THE Scuba Trucker! Means a lot to me that you have watched show me my videos and have been commenting for year after year! God bless you.
Hey there. Thanks for the laughs. No, no Blackstone tattoo. At 50 years old, I don’t think I’m gonna start getting any tattoos. Lol. Have a great week!
@@BlackstoneGriddles 🤣🤣🤣 You think I should huh? Well my patio area got wrecked but hurricane Ian. Soon as it's rebuilt I'm looking into getting the Blackstone 4-Burner 36" Griddle with Air Fryer and Hood. It will be my first Blackstone purchase if I got it
Great looking pizza's Todd. I got the griddle topper pizza oven about 6 months ago and it does OK. Just might have to upgrade to this new pizza oven and sell the other one. Can't wait to see other items cooked on this new pizza oven. Thanks.
I absolutely LOVE my Blackstone Pizza oven attachment for the 22" Griddle. I use it all the time. I am surprised to see the new stand alone oven does not have a traditional thermometer. I cook mine between 550 and 600. it would be difficult to have to use a thermal gun every cook.
I purchased the original. When it works, it does a great job. The trouble is the bearing they used under the rotating base rusts and seizes up within three uses. Zero customer service. They couldn't care less. I've changed the bearing twice and added high-temperature grease. This lasted 5 uses. Then I rebuilt it again and I added a makeshift heat shield. Oh, and when the rotating base seizes it burns out the rotisserie motor. Again, customer service couldn't care less. Hopefully, the re-design of the rotating base can handle the heat.
@@afmartin2734 Thank you. I agree. I use a 3/8 inch thick slab of aluminum in my regular kitchen oven and it makes a great New York Style pizza. Doesn't get hot enough for a Neapolitan pizza but hey, at least I have pizza.
That looks fantatsic! I personally use Ragu or Prego pasta sauce for my pizzas and I find that cutting from the center out makes things a lot easier too. I like pepperoni and I also like green pepper and onion with no sauce.
Todd, I am a part of a camping group located on the front range that would enjoy hearing you speak/sell at one of our rallies. How can I talk to you directly to set that up or do I need to talk to Blackstone? Thank you.
I would love to have one, but no way I make enough pizza for it to be worth my time. Plus I'm sooooo lazy when it comes to dough. Can you use a pre-made crust or would it be too burned by the time the toppings were done?
You can cook any pizza you like from frozen to fresh dough to par cooked pizzas. Walmart sells great par cooked crust pizzas delicious and cheap. Love my new Blackstone pizza oven a lot of fun too.
Oh wow. Thanks for the reply. Now I need to open my own pizza restaurant. It's just me in the house, so I don't eat THAT much homemade pizza. I'd love to see someones video just doing a frozen one to see now long it takes. :) I can't imagine 90seconds still.
I noticed you didn’t show the bottom of the first pizza 😂 Honestly a good looking product, I will continue to use a stone on top of my 22” Adventure Ready Blackstone.
If your bottom stone is that hot you actually need to crank the burner up at launch on the BS so the top will finish even remotely close to the same time. That or dome it. If you turn the burner down, you are getting just the bottom heat from the stone and no heat rolling up the side and over the top of the pie. You saw how the top was almost raw but the bottom was starting to char when you first pulled it the first time.
It's a poor design. It's a stone, too. Why would anyone buy this when you can buy a steel and get the hotter material with a quicker cook and then use your broiler to hit the top. The stone is outdated.
@@afmartin2734 steel is a crutch for use in an oven not capable of hitting higher temps. i don't think it's an improvement over stone. steel and a broiler is fine if your stuck with a home oven only.
hey i live in Jeannette pa and i also use Delallo pizza sauce its a Italian store with great breads sauces and cold meats and cheeses ,so im in the market for a pizza oven would you buy it again thanks great vid mark
Blackstone should’ve engineered a side flame gas/wood oven in line with the competition. The rotating disk doesn’t compare to a side flame that arches overhead. Traditional Neapolitan pizza and others are made this way. Crust is key in pizza. Love my blackstone grill by the way.
Actually, a rolling pin is good to use if you are looking for a thinner, crispy crust. Something akin to a NY style. It forces out the air so that the crust doesn't rise as much during baking. If you want your crust to rise and be a bit thicker and more bread like, then don't use the rolling pin. Never apologize for getting the job done. Any haters can make like a tree and leave.
Right, but NY style has tons of air pockets. He's basically making a flatbread. Frankly, that's the ONLY pizza you can make on a grill. Grills are awful for pizza and this just proves it. It's a gas grill with a stone inside it.
I had previous pizza ovens and cleaning them is horrible. Oven door has a small opening and a non removal stone, which is horrible to clean. I wish who ever is designing these pizza ovens, would think about a better option for cleaning the inside of the oven. Does the top lift open to clean the inside of the oven?
One thing that most people don't realize about the Blackstone pizza rocker is that you can infuse the Sword Dance ash of war and cut an entire pizza for just 12 FP.
It has two power sources. Your choice of 2D batteries or electric. On the previous model I had the same to D batteries in mind for several years. They lasted forever.
