As soon as you pulled out the cast irons, you had me!!! Put some shredded cheese on potatoes, and sour cream on side, and YES!!! The rosemary added the touch. Maybe add some compound butter on top of steaks. 👍

May do that again next time, but since the stone was hot with the waterfall flame, I was worried the bottom would out run the top. Not sure I made sense there or not. I was looking for evenness, however pre-heating that could have worked out too. Still playing with it.

Great video and great cook! One thing that I have done cooking steaks in my pizza oven is preheat the cast iron until smoking. Then throw the steaks on with the avocado oil. You get a great sear fast!
When prepping, I was wondering how I should approach this, and likely should have pre-heated, but went with cold and in the oven as the stone is pre-heated then the waterfall flame. My thought was the bottom may outrun the top quickly. WOuld have to flip for sure, but that was my approach. It's a tennis match in my head sometimes.

Edit - Thinking a good sized London Broil or Tri-tip would be a good option for feeding a family or small party crowd. Cook it to 115-120F and do the taters followed by the rosemary butter while the meat rests. Maybe some roasted brussels sprouts as well. Getting hungry now...

Teqnique is work in process. Hheat up a deeper skillet to 500 + then lay steaks in it for cooking?
