Hey pilots! Tricker here and I want to welcome you to my channel on combat aviation. I'm a real world pilot in the Airbus 319/320/321 series and I enjoy DCS World, Falcon BMS, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-plane 11, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
If you want to fly WWII aircraft over Normandy and the English Channel, then DCS World WWII is for you and they have plenty of aircraft to choose from such as the BF-109, FW-190, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang. If you enjoy modern aerial combat then you want to focus more on DCS World products such as the F-16, A-10C Warthog, AH-64D Apache, F-15, F-14, JF-17, SU-27, Mirage, Mig-29, F-18 Hornet, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind, Uh-1 Huey, Ka-50, F-5, Mig-21, AV-8b Harrier, and the F-4 Phantom. Some of the mods that are out there for DCS World are the F-22 Raptor, SU-57, A-4 Skyhawk, Rafale, and Gripen.
I enjoy other games such as Total War, Battlefield, War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, as well as Squad.

XDDD
When I was a kid, this is what it felt like just trying to make a Google account

Lol
😂👌
Just a note that the tankers do not use AA T/R in DCS. They use normal T/R.
ED refuses to change it to AA T/R even though that is the correct method IRL.
I wish this wasn’t the case but it’s true
@@TrickerDCS yeah, one dude I fly DCS with is a KC-135 pilot and even he says it's wrong. They just straight up refuse to change it.
The more I get into DCS the bird i get pissapointed
time to do AAR on bms instead
hey bit! lmao
In Falcon 4 I'd try for 15 minutes, then my gun would malfunction and the tanker explodes... Very strange...
I guess in DCS it does the same thing 🤨
Those malfunctions are very strange ngl
generally for me its an AIM 9-X that mysteriously malfunctions, fuckers lock and launch on their own
Ya man, them damn sidewinder's keep telling us how mentally stable they are.
Lol ive seen that happen too, although more often than not my FCS decides to malfunction and drive my jet into the tanker
I can't get over just how realistic this simulator is. All the steps you have to to know you might as well be mid-air refueling 🤣
I only do like a couple of all of this
Look at F10 map, find tanker
Go to tanker
Port open
"Ready pre."
(Cleared contact)
Refuel
Leave
@@Centenario-2 Same, I've never used comms in any sim. Learning the F-16 I only know how to do A/A, A/G, and just fly the plane itself
You need to open the refueling port 3 minutes prior, right? Something about pressure?
Yah if you have wing tanks, it’s not modeled though
I wish it were all that simple in practice lol
So fucking hard to connect it I just cent
Tanker : do you need a gas bro?
F16 : Wait wait, I need touch switchy buttons
Tanker : ok, i ll make coffee first
Thanks, I’m doing this right now irl and will let you know how it goes
Edit: plane no more :(
Both planes? Or just yours?
Learned something new! Great stuff!
BRO THIS DUDE KNOWS EVERYTHING, is he a pilot Cuz im lookin to be one too
You need extremely good math skills,
@@clxwncrxwncompletely false lmao u just need the most basic math skills like addition division and subtraction
@@justyourordinarypilot I was gonna ask “lol are you a pilot” but then I saw your username.
Are there any health problems that can preclude you from joining the Air Force?
@@thebiggeststarwarsfan6635 he isn’t a pilot though
Consensual refuelings are best. Don’t need to be cancelled from a ‘me too’ Texaco
Lol
Whoever put those lights on the bottom of the tanker is a genius.
I love that the viper in the video is a Swamp Fox!
Hardest thing to do in the viper for me. Everything else came easy.
The hardest thing is not to spray the tanker with cannon
Haha so true! I try it once, then step back and hit it full burner!
He makes this seem so easy, it's nothing close to easy. The procedure itself is straight forward, the actual flying that steady is the real skill. And Tricker is the Master
I watch a couple of tutorials on dogfighting maneuvering for war thunder and now this is all I see.
I just wanted to win 1v1s
Next one should be: how to air to air refuel the F16 as the kc135
I like this short pill format of knowledge for DCS. They are for sure not easy to craft. Well done and good job
bro gave me a whole life plan how tf am i ment to remember all of this just finished installing the game now im scared to play it
Holy crap! Here I thought I was a baddass in Ace Combat. Woah. Kudos!!
Ive got the F18 couple of days ago and flying it with the X56, dude that is so complex and hard. I love it! I just found out how i can auto drop bombs. That was so satisfying! I live this game already!
I always wondered how they navigated to tankers, but putting a tacan on the tanker seems so simple and genius
Well done Tricker. Good stuff!
Danke
Yeah this is complicated but it would really really help if the things that were needed to do were explained as ro why they need to be done
It helps so much knowing how everything is actually working instead of just knowing this set of buttons makes this happen
There is a ton of documentation for DCS.
Link to full video in comments, this is just a teaser/reminder
Then why are you watching shorts? Go back to normal youtube and search. The algorithm and shorts is not the only feature on this site
These just make me glad I chose the Army.
Its game
Air Refueling is difficult but very worth it once you master it, gonna choose Air Force
DCA world nice
I’m very interested into your content. How do you know all of this for each plane?
Been playing for years 🥹
I like your funny words, magic flyer
Nose wheel steering / MSL step button also will end refuelling early if you need.
Watching this video while refueling my f16.. Thank you
"Now I know how a F16 works. Now I dont need you"
Thanks 👍
Is the tanker frequency always the same? Where do you locate that info to type it in? Thanks for the awesome F-16 content man. Keep it coming! So helpful for a new sim pilot
It’s usually changing, and is usually shown in the briefing. Hit “return” with the dobber (dobber left), and then hit T-ILS. Then you can input the TACAN. DCS uses T/R and not AA T/R, for some reason, and they don’t wanna change it, so beware of that.
I advise you to only use your fingertips and make smooth, calm and gentle movements. Don’t rush it. If you want to see your fuel, hit LIST on the ICP and then press 2. If you go to whee you enable the left and right hardpoints, you can right click twice on DED to display it on your HUD.
As always on spot ....love it!!!
Instructions unclear. I went into a ball of flames.
dont you hate it when the little planes bother the big one's
It is simply mind-boggling the programming that goes into modern military aircraft. Just think about it.
That simple
Bro I'm not trying to play a puzzle game I just want things to go boom 😭
Man this looks easy still can’t air refuel. Not giving up
Well it looks like I'm never going to refuel in the air.. I need to watch this a few hundred times..
Sorry for previous comment on being to fast just saw your other video. Great job perfect. Thank you very much.
No worries
Dude these how to videos are awesome. This was the only thing really holding me back from DCS… not knowing wtf I’m doing in the pit…. Good luck being a Joe and RTFMing on a goddamn f-18 Hornet lol.
Awesome!
When do ypu insert credit card!!
God, the bill for a jet refuel would be nuts. And it holds 1,700 gallons without drop tanks or CFTs. It burns 800 per hour at cruising speeds. Figure it's about $3.15 for jet fuel, so about $2,500 and hour? Oh boy.
Really good info. Concise. I just can't get the boom in 😢
It's like they're trying to make it as hard as possible.
No game needs all of that
DCS is the most expensive free game out there
Ok but, the control panel of my washing machine is still more complicated
Please make a refueling tutorial for the FA18
This is like the only process he has shown that makes sense to be this long. Meanwhile a pilot has to press 400 buttons to launch a missile lol
its like maybe 4-5 buttons, less for some planes
@@sgtjonzo (being hyperbolic)
This is cool
Slightly different than removing your gas cap.
I fly primarily the Hornet, and tanking that with the basket is pretty straightforward.
I tried in the Viper last night, and while not my daily driver I’m pretty decent with it.
Cleared pre contact, got just under the tanker and made sure the lights up front were green.
However, how do you know you’re taking fuel?
How much slack does the Probe allow before you DC?
I have a full video on my channel for the f16 refueling that answers some of these questions
How long until you think this process will be automated.
Every time i try to do an air refueling in any plane i almost always get into a PIO (pilot induced ocilation)
Skill issue (I have never been able to do it myself).
My DCS experience ended on the first flight attempt when my SU-25 ended up a burning wreck on the taxi way 😂
This is how baby F16s are made
I honestly really want to be in a time and place where we could be spaceship pilots space trucking across the solar system, if not the cosmos. However, looking at how complexes this system is, just imagining what all would be in a spaceship makes me think I'm to dumb to be a space trucker.
It would be extremely boring and humans wouldnt be doing that job, rather artificial intelligence
I keep master arm on just in case I get pissed and need to light up the refuel plane
By the end you forget why you started flipping all these switches.. lol
When i did all the steps im pretty sure my fuel wouldve been all burnt away 😂
I followed the direction's but my jet hacked Space X then I time traveled, what did I do wrong?
Boom Tube
My grandpa was in a kc135 in the Vietnam war
You forgot to mention you have to know how to fly like in a straight line 😂 I’ve been playing dcs forever and still suck so bad at Aerial refueling
Slide on in... Duh!
LOOOOOL
Why cant there be just one switch (open/close)
Got my DCS setup. Is it only fighters? Id love to fly some heavies
I be out of fuel before finishing this tutorial
I see in your game you have the 169th fighter squadron out of South Carolina. However they do not have the rooster on their tail.
This guy is the indian guy that tells you how to win ww3 or pilot ww3 planes fron the meme.
Short & sweet! 👍🏻👏🏻💪🏻 Oh, and the video is great, too! 😁🤭🍻🍻🙋🏼♂️
then while doing that your inside the tanker and decreasing altitude rapidly
my brainnnnnnn
How do you get so precise formation flying? This is much different than the hornet.
About 2 minutes of me trying to refuel I crashed into the kc
Wow there is that 8086 chip cmd prompt it seems😅
Thanks I would never swap from war thunder with this info💀
You should've expected it considering DCS is a sim. And is actually realistic🤯
Where is the South Carolina skin? I can’t find it in dcs but I am from there and would love to find it
Still easier than the Top Gun NES game
So would it be easier in the future for craft to refill with thrust vectoring? Both planes just float in the same spot.
Only 2 planes in service has thrust vectoring
instructions unclear, KC-135 no longer has a tail.
Too real
Isn't it funny how in the air going so fast one can do so many tasks for one accomplishment but on the ground people have a hard time just using a turn signal?
Not everyone can be a pilot :)
pretty much the only thing I can't do in DCS with any plane.
man can you do su 27 flanker start up in 60 seconds please
It's fc3 module, you don't need a guide for it
0.6 seconds, more like it! 😉🤭
*Autostart exists*
The Su-27 takes like 3 buttons to turn it on but ok.
Rearm with whatever munitions you want by having a fully powered down flanker with canopy open by pressing the \ key.
Once the aircraft is fully rearmed do these steps in order.
1. Right shift L to turn on Electrical power.
2. left control c to close the canopy, right shift home to turn on both engines.
3. Wait until both engines RPM are idle (Look up a cockpit guide if necessary to locate the RPM guages)
4. nosewheel steering and taxi to runway.
5. Takeoff
Please, now do a video with the C-130 refueling drogue and the F-16.
This was f16
Did you mean F-18?
how do we get out of it
Once you have full fuel it automatically disengages.
I prefer to leave Master Mode set to ON. It gives me....options.
Ill just dial down the center and ring them up...
Just in case
好穩…好厲害
Flying is complicated… how do berds do it?
I can AAR ok in the Viper, in fact it was the first plane I managed it in. But I’ve had to learn through trial and error and developing the sight picture. Depending on the light, there are many times I can’t make out the director lights at all. I’m using a 4k monitor with mostly max settings and those lights are tiny, typically have bigger all contrast so I can barely see them. Ok. I don’t have the best colour eyesight, a small deficiency in red-green but I manage with everything in DCS, save these director lights.
I’m fairly sure this is unrealistic and assume using HDR would improve the contrast notably, assuming ED has coded the light realistically.
If anyone has any tips on how to improve the visibility of the lights, I’d be grateful.
😮hard to do.
Actually you refill it with gas.
Don't forget to brief breakaway procedures if you dick the dog on closure. :-D
I love playing this game on 12 fps and with a blurry cockpit
Pretty sure you aren’t meeting the minimum requirements of the game
@auroratherob0t yeah fs I got like a 1030 2gb vram and 16 gb of ddr3 so definitely not meeting the requirements
You can also select khabib on the ufc and make contact with the McGregor when you're finished retire.
