At this point Sabbath had hit the heights of true rock stardom and all the spoils that come with it.. This song was there rage against all the pressures that came along with that success.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is both an anthem and an epic for the band, captured in all that analog goodness of the era.
War Pigs and Into the Void - these will blow your mind.
The song Black Sabbath from their first album Black Sabbath. It is very doomey and spooky!
as a kid who grew up on metal and came to a deep love of hip-hop in his teenage years onward, it’s genuinely a beautiful thing to see the cross-pollination of genres - how they lend to some worthwhile culture exchange, and it makes me glad to see these songs bring you joy as well!
I love this sabbath song. Here's a special treat that no one really appreciates but shows all their skills, 19-20 yo Ozzy's songwriting at its best. It's called 'The Writ' from the album Sabotage. The Writ' is a rollercoaster as well
Good lookin out @joey ima have to check it out
Ozzy was about 28 yrs old in 1975 not 19 or 20
The first five Black Sabbath albums are legendary. You will want to check those out. Some of the best music ever produced.
Hell Yah Ill definetly be diving into those
"You can only trust yourself and the first 6 Black Sabbath albums"- Henry Rollins/Lead singer/Black Flag
The first 6 albums. Sabotage is incredible!
You did not just ignore sabotage did you?
@@Leon-cd1iy NEVER!
Took my oldest to Sabbath "The End!"
Start at the beginning Black Sabbath with the song "Black Sabbath" The birth of METAL in 1969
You have to love how they deliver like 5 transitions into one cohesive package
You might like Sweet Leaf and Hand of Doom as well. Of course, you have War Pigs which is an all time classic. Iron Man has one of the most famous guitar riffs ever. That's from their early stuff and in my opinion, their best.
Ozzy Osbourne on vocals
The first 8 (sacred) albums are with Ozzy. It gets a bit mad after that. Long story. Glad you enjoyed it.
You have to do War Pigs. Do the official studio version. Sweet Leaf, Black Sabbath, Fairies Wear Boots, or just all of them.
Your very first Black Sabbath track! Welcome to a whole new world. This is band is part of the musical DNA that is the backbone of all things Heavy Metal.
Do "Children of the Grave" from the year I was born I heard through headphones on mom's belly before my 1st breath! Also "NIB" and of course Iron Man and Paranoid.
"war pigs" "the wizard" "hand of doom" "fairies wear boots" "Heaven and hell" "wheels of confusion/the straightener"
Dude, you started, don't stop. You will not be disappointed! Do Iron Man next.....
That riff in the middle is so filthy and so iconic.
Written by the greatest music writing team ever, the great Tony Iommi (eye-OWE-me), lead guitar, wrote the music, and the great Geezer Butler (bass) wrote the lyrics.
Bro good looks cant believe i thought that was an L at the beginning of Iommi
Did was there for 2 albums. War Pigs,Black Sabbath, Iron Man,Snowbird Sweet Leaf are a few more Sabbath with Ozzy.
New subscriber Lil J, glad you're diggin the rock genre. Can't say it strongly enough, you've got to go back to the early Sabbath classics from the 1st four albums. Suggest Hand of Doom for some real funky heavy dynamics and then War Pigs for anthem level. This rabbit hole won't let you down, they created the genre.
Sabbath is the OG of metal and still the king! Ozzy actually went to the same school as Toni did and when Toni and Bill were looking for a singer they actually blew Ozzy off the first time thinking it was a joke until later Ozzy and Geezer (guitar player at the time not bass) showed up looking for a drummer and they thought well why not give it a go then and within 5 min of the first song they knew they had something good going! Toni also was recruited to be in Jethro Tull but when he asked the band if he should go and they said yeah he thought to himself well hell I'm staying if your trying to be rid of me! That was before his finger accident which is another story entirely!! LEGENDS - BTW Ozzy got back with Sabbath Circa 2017 and put out NEW FIRE - proof of that is God is dead and End of the beggining - both OUTSTANDING new songs. Truly unbelievable to watch Ozzy play harmonica in rehearsal on "The Wizard" also from the reunion.
This is my favorite Black Sabbath album. The cover is scary af but the message in the lyrics are positive.
So glad you have chosen to wander down this deep, dark and dirty path. Prepare to be amazed. AC/DC is a must too.
What would you recommend on AC/DC to start @Karl
One of my favourite Black Sabbath tunes! Love the ending! You should also check out the Ozzy solo albums too! Rock on J! :)🤘😎🤘
Rock on BSomme! ill have to check those out
Can´t go wrong with early Sabbath. Their use of light and shade makes their bombing riffs so much heavier than the efforts of more crude rocking bands
Children of the Grave next
My personal favorite song 🤘
Definitely give the track Black Sabbath on the first album a listen. Used to spook me out when i was a kid
Great choice for Sabbath to get started. You gained a sub.
Sabbath is a great way to start a Tuesday morning
the best part of SBS reactions is the riff change in the middle...the look on the face....
Like a lot of bands your lucky to get 2 or 3, maybe 4 good songs off an album, with Black Sabbath you can pretty much listen to their whole albums from start to finish and have your ass fully kicked at the end. I would just pull up a list of songs from their first 8 albums, shut your eyes, point to a song, and enjoy the ride. Black Sabbath back in the day was also banned from certain radio stations, but their albums were still going gold just through word of mouth, which is literally unheard of especially today.
I had the pleasure to see Black Sabbath performance at Ozzfest 2004. Amazing
I feel like of a lot of the old giants, Sabbath had a very swingin' rhytmic approach to rock and roll. Not on every single song, but Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, A National Acrobat, and even Electric Funeral all had these rhythms you could sway too instead of the purely mathematic riffed out verse structure of all palm muting. Personally I liked Maiden and Priest more but it was almost like Sabbath got some soul from somewhere that many of the rock legends never found, or simply veered away from.
Pretty cool I'm listening this today and Ozzy won 2 grammys last night
Try "National Acrobat " :)
First Sabbath are masterpieces, but SBS is my favorite, thanks for react to this!
The drop to that heavy riff is delicious.
Killer song I remember listening to this for the first time!!! Great memories!❤
fantastic intro to sabbath!! that riff is just NASTY!!!!
The best reaction is when the makes you giggle.
More from this album dude!
The first time the tamberine rocks legendary
Everyone loves that heavy riff towards the end!
Coming from Hip-hop, you would really dig "Hand of Doom", if you looking for funkier, try "Fairies Wear Boots"
Sabbath are legendary for a reason.
Meeting of the spirits mahavishnu orchestra for advanced listeners
Such an amazing composition and execution.... The best band ever
Children of the Grave.
I can't believe you have not done any RUSH yet. Tom Sawyer is a great place to start. This three piece progressive rock band will blow you away.
WarPigs, N.I.B., Sweetleaf would be my choices but any Sabbath will do.
try the song called - fairies wear boots = LEGENDARY
Definitely read the lyrics to War Pigs
Got to do Hand of Doom.
Great pick
One of my favorite riffs of all time. Filthy as it gets. If you like the transitions, give "Fairies Wear Boots" a listen.
This is Peak Sab4.
You should check out Ozzy solo stuff after black Sabbath he is a rock legend
Now you're digging deeper. Next
War Pigs
Timeless song more appropriate today than ever.
14 of us went to the black and blue concert in 1980. Afternoon outdoor ball stadium. We are right up front on the field when Molly Hatchet was playing. Way too loud!
Three bands sound systems combined. Then it was Blue Oyster Cult oh yeah. And then Sabbath. Already three quarters done when a 80 mph wall of dust and Rain hit. As it was coming in the lightning was echoing through their speakers as well. Sabbath just rocked even harder. until that wind hit. It tore the Sound Stage to pieces leaving dozens of mixers in the like exposed. And sadly it blew over part of a wall of speakers. we came prepared with tarps so we just sat there watching a stampede trying to escape. Sabbath had barely exited the stage and everyone still running and they were already announcing save your ticket stubs we are coming back to do it again. A couple months later again they did for free. Oh yeah those were the days.
Paranoid Iron Man the list goes on for Black Sabbath.
But.... Ozzie's solo work is not to be ignored. Crazy Train, Mr Crowley, over the mountain. They will truly Delight.
Fairies Wear Boots
Gotta do war pigs next ! song will change ur life. But don’t do the “music video” as its too distracting from the instrumentation
Black Sabbath best band ever
Check out Black Sabbath War Pigs very deep song about war
Bro, is Iommi, not Lommi xD
