    When I was in elementary school in the 1970s I remember in first grade I acted up in class back then and got paddled for it back then 😊.

    Congrats on the new job! I am in love with Ikea's recycling bin containers! They are fully enclosed, but have a flip up lid for easy access! Those might work well on some of those shelves.

    Where did you get the book bins to organize your library books for students? I like the the clear dividers in the book bins so you can store 3 different types of books. Thanks!

      Those are new (to me) from Really Good Stuff this year!! I also loved the dividers - it will help students see the books better too!

    Yay🎉🎉🎉 1st grade rules!!! My school we do co-teaching since we have 30 children in our classrooms, are you guys co-teaching or is she a Para? Either way is so much better having the extra help within the class❤❤❤❤

    WOW! Only 18 students. I just checked my first grade roster for the next school year and I have 38 students with no aide. How do you set up for that? I know I can’t get to my classroom until late August, as the school doesn’t allow us in when they are doing the floors and other maintenance.

    Beautiful set up. You have so many great organization ideas. I am a new viewer. You mentioned removing the hooks. I was wondering where your students will hang their coats and backpacks. You didn’t mention a new location. Just curious.

      In the hallways, each student has their own buckets! It was something that started in 2020 and stayed! It’s nice because they’re out of the way and all the winter clothes don’t take up space!

    Congrats! I have 26 kinder students currently in my class. I am wondering if you remove the hooks where will students hang backpacks and jackets?

      Since 2020 our school had class buckets that they keep in the hallway where their coats, backpacks, and lunchboxes go! It keeps all the clutter out of the class which is nice

      Those were leftover from the previous teacher - I removed them and got a classroom rug!
