I check the New York Times and the local bestsellers list every week, and I am continually amazed to see both Rebecca Yarros books always there. I've never read them, and I never will (nor any romantasy or cozy fantasy.) To me it's just sad to see such drek dominating the fantasy bookshelves. I did watch reviews on the recent Readers Take Denver book festival which featured a lot of romantasy authors - what a disaster! You should watch some videos about it - hilarious!

I prefer the love interests in books to be either cinnamon rolls or "tough on the outside, sweet and caring on the inside." I like my spicy scenes spicy but with clear consent.

The biggest problem with romantasy is they all sound like they were written by a 16 year old girl falling in love with the sociopathic lunatic it's just not realistic😂
