      Haha thank you kindly my friend, how cool would that be! We could have viewers on each week as special guests fixing their bikes and lots of fun and banter and we could promote Penny Pitstop to be the tea lady lol!

    Nice upgrade on the camera. Loved all your previous vids but the darkness sometimes made it a bit tricky to see the details of what you were working on. Thought after the bandit the vids might not be coming online as often.....glad to see you don't sit idle Del and have always got something on the go! Definitely the first RUclips subscription I check daily. Keep up the great work guys, really enjoying them.

      Thanks Bernie... we try and upload something 2-3 times per week, all depends on the work shifts and how many comments and questions we get because the eat part of the overall time too... glad you like watching, really appreciate the support... Cheers Del

      Yeah I think it was a great gesture too, but I guess it's not really free when you've brought a brand new bike from them just a couple of months ago... still yet to see whether they stand by it when I phone up to book it in !!

    The camera quality is much better, then the last, that is for sure.
    More details and brighter image. And about special bolts a washers, i always visit a Fabory location (nearby), they can supply me with every special bolt or washer i want, and good info for free (lol).

    Vast improvement Del the detail you can see is worlds apart, but couldn't help thinking Delboy's Garage in HD now that would be the Brilliant. Big Kudos to the Cameraman, Technical Producer and No1 Heckler Penny for getting to grips with the new equipment so seamlessly,

      Hi Craig, cheers mate... but don't big her up to much I already get enough nagging and heckling lol! tbh we have HD facility, it just takes forever to upload and many people's broadband speed won't carry it, but maybe I'll try one and see how it goes! Thanks for watching buddy, much appreciated, Del

    sounds like a sweet deals place to me 8)) , we got a old firm who specializes in wrecked engines and rebore, tuning and stuf , its bout 100 years old and still sits in the same spot as it started, witch today is a backyard of a residence, and looks like a bycycleshed!!! but uts quite big and old and they do things freakin awsomly and somewhat cheap.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      Wow that sounds like my kind of place to spend an afternoon and it's places like that we'll eventually lose one day forever under the avalanche of main dealers with their fancy coffee machines and leather sofa'd waiting areas! Oh, and don't forget, the Customer Viewing Window lol!

    Liking the new wider view angle your giving us Del, I always try to up the quality of your vids but you only upload them with a maximum of 480, don't blame you as I know how long these things can take to render and upload, I always take out the extended warranty on things sometimes it's paid off, and sometimes not, I've bought electrical items in the past and 7 years later they've contacted me to tell me that it's to old now but if I wanted to purchase another they would cover it free of charge for three years, not bad eh! and that was Currys,
    Sprayed and drilled sounds about right Del, I didn't know Spiders Stole pistons, that must be why I've seen people put rubber gloves over their pipes when there stripping them down, lol. Ride Safe Buddy.

      I use the camera on standard default settings but now I know it works gonna upload in 720, as before, just needs a fiddle with the camera settings...thanks for watching mate, ride safe mate, Del

    New camera seems better Del, Penny could also wear one of those head band type little torches on her head to act as a backlight which might help light up those dark area's on the bikes, that might work well, worth a try. Looking forward to hearing those pipes out on the road soon. Cheers, Paul.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      Hi Paul, I think if I suggested that head mounted light to Penny I'd probably get it inserted lol! The low light function seems amazing, see how the definition on the black engine looks compared to the last video... total transformation.. thanks for watching mate, Del

  • @petergoddard1960
    @petergoddard1960 11 лет назад

    Significant improvement on clarity and, most importantly contrast. That last video was very hard to see the detail under that side cover. It was a bit like Hotblack Desiato' s Sun Ship in Hitch Hikers. On the black control panel there is a black button with a black light that lights up black when you press it! This was way better, which I'm sure you know when reviewing the footage before posting.
    Oh and cheers for the heads up via bigots in Glasgow, he's contacted me about a mk1 600S Bandit he has for sale. My immediate neighbours has the exact same bike which he also might be selling, which is certainly an option too although it might be a little close to home if you know what I mean, especially as we're mates. There's only one or two 1200s worth looking at and they're a long way away. Keeping my options open for the longer. I have thought about a Yamaha xs650 twin, brat style project, but they seem as rare as hens teeth thks side of the Atlantic!

      Couple of bizarre spelling corrections there, sorry. Bloody tablets!

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      Hi Peter, just goes to show how things have changed over the years... I've had two of those XS650's and used to know Tony Hall of Halco Tuning, they have become a bit of a legend over the years and I guess that makes them rare and pricey... to be honest mate, I'd give them a wide berth, the gearboxes can be harsh and notchy, they are impossible to select neutral whilst the engine is running and like you said, they are too rare to be able to maintain... you'd actually be better with an original Bonnie as they old classic Brits are way better backed up and there are millions more of them... now there's a thought!

    • @petergoddard1960
      @petergoddard1960 11 лет назад

      An original Bonnie would be my.first choice but they're beyond my purse, sadly. Even a real snotter is over £2000 in bits! A 1971/2 T120R would be my dream bike,at the top of my bucket list. I'm just not rich enough for one!

  • @ShawnSmoak
    @ShawnSmoak 11 лет назад +2

    Hi Del, you've mentioned having the Scrambler re-mapped a time or two now... For the life of me, that thing looks like it has twin CV carburetors. Are they going to flash the ECM with a different ignition curve and re-jet the carbs? Maybe you could go into the details of what the shop will be doing when the time comes...
    Oh, and the new camera definitely has more dynamic range and more pleasing field of view...
    Thanks for the great content!

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад +1

      Hi Shawn, see how Triumph have cleverly fooled you too!! They aren't carbs, they are throttle bodies and Triumph cleverly used the old carburetorred castings and fitted the injectors and all their associated plugs and wiring inside, the float bowls are dummy and contain nothing, I've even compared like for like and they are identical apart from the tell tale wires coming out the back of the CV cap... clever eh?! And all they will do is plug in the ECU and swop the programme for another pre-designed one...!

    • @ShawnSmoak
      @ShawnSmoak 11 лет назад

      Yeah, that's really cool how they've done this! I found some photos and info after posting that comment... Sorry to take up your time, and thanks for the reply!

    recentry leared about the air injection was into the exhaust manifolds on cars we were taught it was to aid the lambda sensors working apparently but think mostly the fresh cool air been pumped in helps burn any left over fuel ect in the exhaust fumes something like that

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      They clearly taught you well Luke, as that's exactly what it's for! But as there's no emissions checks on bikes for MOT it's completely irrelevant...

    • @lukethekanefan
      @lukethekanefan 11 лет назад

      aye most of these new gizmoes do nothing on bikes like egr and cat converters and air box baffle things and even pcv my scooter even feeds air from the belt drive casing into the air box just too much junk I recently put a exhaust sytem on mine and it pops only 2 or 3 times on way to college about 10 miles mine dosent have air injection but the popping on down run when going down hill I suspect an air leak in the exhaust I today found one very small and tried to seal it with exhaust paste just pushed and molded it into the split underneath the exhaust clip like yours it has the grooves and tiny bit or black smoke was showing after 2 weeks of riding hope that will cure it any ideas on anything else it could be havnt messed with mixtures

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      lukethekanefan
      Hi Luke, any popping in an exhaust is caused by the combustion of unburnt mixture and is generally on over run... the hole would have been responsible for a bit of it and unless you have the fully muffled silencer it's pretty much inevitable on anything free flowing... it can even suck a bit in the tail pipe on over run when the vacuum increases inside the pipe after shutting the throttle... don't sweat it mate, doesn't do any harm...

      Sure do mate, they are metric M8 x 50mm and obviously allen bolts so they fit down into the handles... don't go to the dealer though, as they are daft money, any bolt supplier has then on the shelf... good luck with it mate, Cheers Del

    hi Del, yeah better lighting, also when Pen. does the close ups the focus is much quicker your not left waiting for ages for the cam to focus like before. Inside with that light is good so the outside shots will be even better with natural light. Not saying pen cant hold the cam still but how about a tri-pod with the handle. I think they would be great for what you do. Keep up the good work

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      Cheers mate, problem with a tripod is where to put it, we have so little space in the garage that we'd end up tripping over it half the time...! We really have to focus on the content and capturing the action rather than the movie buff side of getting too deeply involved with the equipment, the whole purpose of this camera upgrade was to make it easier, more point and shoot and less faffing about with controls... I'd love nothing more than a studio, 5ft tripod and a boom mic, but we have full time jobs and not enough hours in the day! Thanks for watching fellah and appreciate the insight!

    Spot on camera mate, the lighting looked fine, perhaps the sensor behind the lense has more sensitivity, should be able to do repairs by candle power :-))

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      Sure thing mate, I think when you compare it to stills cameras it's the aperture thing, bigger lens lets in more light, then we get a wider angle as the sensor is further back from the lens... at least that's what the teenager said who sold it to us lol!

    Hello question for you ,, I have an sv650 v twin no baffle in exhaust , from a cold start with half choke after its been fired up for 10 to 20 seconds it always starts backfiring for half a min then its ok ,,what would you suspect please someone thought a plug change might fix ? thanks shane

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      Hi mate, 20 seconds isn't really long enough to let it warm up... give it a full minute to warm up and it won't be as bad... the popping in your exhaust is unburnt fuel passing through the chamber as the engine isn't up to running efficiency yet... as long as it's not doing it once the bike's warm, it's fine! Hope that helps mate, Del

    I dont have any trouble with any other channel or video would you double check the setting on your editing software as I dont think its the camera. As the camera is hd only edit your footage and dont crop would appreciate very much.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      The most video was loaded on 720p, and the one before in 1080,and through the editing software, its hugely more time and space consuming, but the result is better....you are the only person who says this mate, but if you are watching on a big screen then i guess you need the bigger rez..

    Hi Delboy! Crackin' vids. I've just bought a Bonnie and am going to take the SAI off this weekend along with a TEC exhaust install. What size bolt was it that ended up blanking off the AI port?

    • @Moonfleet41

      As i made clear in the video Benjamin... its a Nissan sump plug... not sure the exact thread and pitch, possibly M12 fine... but its only 3/4" long, and you need a snaller head than an M12 bolt will come with or it wont fit in the space.. so get a Nissan sump plaug buddy.. and a copper washer to go with it.! Good luck.. Del.

      Hi mate, that's the first video with everything set to default settings... we usually do stuff in 720 and I will be moving up to that for the next one, but 1080 is pointless as many people's Broadband speed can't play it and YT dumb it down anyway!

    • @TheCarlos840
      @TheCarlos840 11 лет назад

      I meant upload to youtube in 720, for the moment all your videos have been in 480p max, which is pretty low nowadays! Things are so much clearer in 720p.
      It's a bit a waist to film in 720 and then upload in 480...

  • @MikeIllusion92
    @MikeIllusion92 11 лет назад

    The camera is fine, but you need to test out your render/export settings in the program you use to edit your videos. You have that letterbox style thing going on with the black bars at the top and bottom, run out a few 30 second videos and upload them to test different settings man! It helps.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      Check in the videos on YT they are coming out fully framed, the camera films them in widescreen and I crop them to 16:9 for the upload stage, never had a problem before and naturally if we were more into the actual filming, like Movie buffs, then I guess we would take more time fiddling about, but the bike projects time, in the garage and answering comments and questions takes priority... we'll get to it all in time mate, thanks for the insight...!

    I have a galaxy s4 which is a hd screen and and full hd lg tv when I first started watching all was fine then all a sudden it went to smaller screen and like I said every other video is normal, it happened just before the new camera so I know its not your camera and must be some sort of croping ill put it on. I've checked back and spray guard 10 11 where fine then 12 on was smaller the euro parts video was also fine on phone and tv, then the others have this smaller cropping going on its also happening to your vlogs so im sure its a setting your doing when editing. And I can't be the only one having this issue but the only one to mention it if you can fix fantastic, but if not keep up the good work and ill bear with it. :-)

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  11 лет назад

      Hi Stuart, honestly mate, they are playing fine this end, so there is nothing here for me to adjust......they did start come out with the black border when i uploaded them, but once i set it to 16:9 it cures it... The last two videos came out full size first time..
      All this started when the Google+ thing was foist upon us, it was all fine up till then, and now i have to set every video to 16:9 in the links box when uploading... im not doing anything different with Windows Movie maker, and using Windows 7 as i have for the last two years...i have changed NOTHING here mate, and all the previous videos have been fine up till Google+ started changing everything....so anything that is different is not my doing buddy..
      Sorry if its spoiling your enjoyment, i would never want that, i can imagine how frustrating it must be...but if i cannot see the issue this end, i cant deal with it...i set every video to 16:9 at the upload stage and they come out full screen, and will load the garage work in 720p from now on so it doesn't pixelate because so many people are telling u they watch on large screens..
      Thanks again for the heads up mate, we are working all the time to make the videos better, but the whole recent shake up has been a real trial to have to embrace and deal with, we spend 4 hours a night at it as it as after work, and thats without even looking at all that stuff about circles and wotnot..
      Cheers mate..
      Del.

      I think it's linked to this new Google+ as all this has started happening since the change over... I set the crop to 16:9, which eliminates the border on my laptop and PC, I do hear from a few people that on phones it seems to show with the border, I can assure you it's loaded in full format this end
