I get the idea, and with currently owning both the Day Pack and the Sport Pack, the only thing I see as a problem, is when it comes to swapping bikes. The top ring may need moving, to give the best position, on the bike, which means another hole bring drilled into the bag. I think that's a poor design flaw.
Thanks for the video! I don't own this kit myself, but I guess an important note is to mount and adjust the tankbag first, before unmounting and drilling the hole for the security pin. It also looks like the tank bag won't be adjustable while the pin is inserted.
Hey Martin, thank you. Yes, you should make sure you're happy with the tank bag positioning before you make the hole!! But even if you mess it up, it's not a huge hole, you can plug it easily.
I have a few Kriega bags, R30 backpack, Drypack US-10 and an Urban EDC, so nothing that really needs proper fitting other than some straps for the drypack. Love them all 🤙🏾
True and it’s not even available on SW Motech’s own website, at least I couldn’t find it! I did consider using a 5.5mm bolt, tried it and worked fine, but then had to cut it to size, soften the edges and buy a padlock, decided it was easier just to buy the anti theft solution 😅
All you need is a pin and a small padlock, both of which I already have in the garage...no need to buy anything. Even if you don't have these two items, save yourself some $ and buy each at your local Home Depot, etc.
Great bag, but anti-theft is pointless. Zipper can be opened just with a pen, so it´s easy to walk away with the bag. Only good solution is take the bag with You.
Agreed, but I don’t think is pointless, it’s another deterrent right? Won’t stop, but will slow them down. Not for overnight, but petrol stops, coffee and meets I think it does a great job.

Yes, you’re right. But you know what, it’s not a big hole, and when you remove the pin, you can hardly even see it. Agree, it could a better design.
The cable is to lock your helmet as well.
Thanks, had no idea!
Really? Is it a metal cable? I thought it was weak material, like plastic.
Been looking for something like this and like SW Motech's stuff. Thanks!
Glad it helped! Thanks for the support 🙏🏾

Great Video. Just bought a bag, Need to go back and get one of these kits.
Thank you Minnow! 🙏🏾 Anti-theft solution is definitely worth it!!!

What's the length of those pins in mm (shaft length only, starting under the flange)?
Sorry, only got round to check it today. It’s about 27mm, hope this helps! Thanks for the support 🙏🏾
there is a way to change the release cord from the back to the front ?
A real shame they don’t bundle the security pin in with the bags.

Shame. Considering the price of each bag
what brand of boots is that on the top shelf ?
Sidi Boots, one pair racing boots and the other water resistant for the British weather 😅. Thanks for the support 🙏🏾

You’re completely right and I was initially going to do that, but then I managed to get the bits from SW-Motech for a good price and went with that.
@@v79moto Actually...I used a bolt, then bought a nice combination lock off of A-zon for $4 shipped.

Locks are made to keep honest people honest. A thief will always look for an easier target.
