Nice double, sir! Ratatata is absolutely a fun banger and is so amazing live. Babymetal also got out their fox ears for Resurrection Fest, haha. Road of Resistance has been Babymetal's staple show closer for a decade, although not for this particular performance. I was fortunate enough to experience this live in DC a few months ago. There definitely was a pretty sizeable wall of death, too! 😆 🤘🦊
A fun, high energy song. Clearly the camera operators had no idea where they should be pointing their cameras. Half the time that Su is singing they're focusing on something else.
Good double reaction. RATATATA live was fun - Kevin and Nico from EC also joined BABYMETAL during their set so the crowd got to enjoy the song twice. 'Road of Resistance' - yes that is a song they have made their anthem (or one of their anthems). It is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden (and much more lucrative) path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Guitar arrangements for Road of Resistance were by Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce and they played oon the studio recording for the album version. In 2015 BABYMETAL and DragonForce performed 'Road of Resistance' and 'Gimme Chocolate' together at an awards ceremony in London. There are a couple of not great quality videos from that you could probably find if you are curious to see.
@@mikesmusicalrehab He was one of their earliest supporters and even smuggled them into Download in the UK in 2015 to invite them on stage to play a song during the DragonForce set after the organiser had said the year before that they would never play there. They were on the main stage doing their own set the next year.
As usual. Normally they have one costume change and then they perform in the new costumes, or to be precise they bow wear an under layer that stays the same and they only change the upper layer, but aince Ekectric Callboy changes to black, they always wear in Electric Callboys setlist to their bright "last year" costume that was designed to block smart phones, while they use in their own sets their less bright current year upper layer.
I don't really get the hype about Electric Callboy. I kinda like the song We Got The Moves but anything else feels like meh. I've even been to their concert with my friend, but we left after 4 or 5 songs... It felt boring and energy forced. Like it was all just about the hype and musically not that much interesting. I love going to live concerts but I'm not really a party type. Well anyways, it's just about the taste. :)
@mikesmusicalrehab Not into them. For me too adolescent sounding vocals. Would love to had a male vocalists and a band without masks. Ironically most Japanese rock/metal bands I listen to have a female vocalist.

You might want to add 'Road of Resistance' to your video title, since you reacted to that one as well.

Aren't they adorable? I should have thought of mixing cute J-pop with a backup metal band. Cha ching.
It doesn’t seem like it should work but it works insanely well

There is only "Cha ching" in this because of the hard work, dedication and talent of the entire BABYMETAL team. 🦊 🖖❤
