One of my all time favorite Death Battles is Godzilla vs Gamera. Epic battle of the giant monsters.

The reason the Penance Stare didn't work at first is because Lobo wouldn't hold still long enough under Johnny's strength alone. It took Zarathos's might to keep him restrained.
You just need to go ahead and step straight to the front of the line and hit Thanos vs. Darkseid .
I did the same thing. I started off with ghost rider but then when I heard lobo was banned from heaven and hell i thought he had no chance. Should of stayed with my gut!

Yeah, I watched this one a while back. I basically followed your path exactly. I wanted the Rider to win but I was convinced before the fight that Lobo was gonna clinch the battle with ease. Was quite pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
Lobos own quote when Solaris said it wasn't logical that he didn't have leverage was "I don't do logical." Lol
The idea of lobo creating a holy weapon is hilarious considering he’s banned from all heavens and such. I don’t think he understands the concept of holy.
If you're doing Death Battles, you might as well go Deadpool vs. Deathstroke, Robocop vs. Terminator, and Superman vs. Goku.
Ghost Rider is hands down one of the best comic characters ever. My dream team straight from Hell: Ghost Rider, Spawn and Hellboy.

If you’re looking for some truly amazing fights. (Not necessarily death battle) you should react to combat gods. It’s a cross between actual animation and stick figure fights. Sounded stupid to me at first but holy hell was i wrong.
There’s also True Powers Furnox VS Avellom. It’s kinda the same deal as Combat Gods, just different.

Ghost rider could not eat Lobo's soul... but Lobo couldn't beat Ghost rider, since he has no way he could actually kill him. its a death battle, and Lobo can die(even if its just for a short time) and I don't think Ghost rider can die. they got the winner correct, just not the how.

On another note, you should also check out the battles by Batinthesun. They have some deadly ones like Batman vs Darth Vader, Batman vs Wolverine (both have alternate endings as well). They are all live action battles and the production is solid.

These are fun. The Death Battle Folks are very thorough with the info about the toons. But the battle was like 3 minutes and then we have to sit through all the stuff at the beginning and even more info at the end. There's another similar thing that pits notable characters versus each other at BatintheSun, the Super Power Beat Down. Batman vs Wolverine. Thor vs Superman. Darth Vader vs Gandalf. It goes on. You should check those out.

I am done watching the video, but I won't lie, I had Lobo winning this. I personally don't feel Pennance would affect him. I will say I didn't consider about Lobo being unable to escape Ghost Rider or Ghost Riders ability to eat his soul though.
Yeah, a lot of people seem to treat the Penance stare as if it is Ghost Riders only means of defeating anyone.
Did you read the text about why Punisher surviving it was only because Ghost Rider wanted him to? Maybee they should have said that bit out loud (and even if otherwise it would only have been a draw, given the Riders complete physical immunity. These two really are ridiculous)
@@csk7769 Punisher survived it, Deadpool survived it, and Thanos made the Frank Castle Rider promise to use it on him every morning because he actually enjoyed it. Based on the scaling, I would easily put Lobo at a Thanos level of power which should have granted him immunity to the stare. However the whole eating his soul thing kinda doesn't have a defense.
@@Delancreus Ghost Rider ALLOWED Punisher and Deadpool to survive it; the box even says that the Stare worked on Punisher later on. But yes, Thanos is a total sadist who gets off on that stuff.

Guts vs. Nightmare, Godzilla vs. Gamera, and Dante vs. Bayonetta are my suggestions, Dante vs. Bayonetta if only for what is easily the best battle animation of the whole series. And if you love Deadpool, Deadpool vs. Deathstroke is amazing.

I was with ghost rider at first too, and thought the penance stare wouldn't work... So I also switched to lobo, I had no idea ghost rider could eat souls
I saw this when they first put it out.
I call BS on it. The Pennance Stare doesn't work on people who either A) honestly believe they they'e done no wrong (the Punisher), B) are so bat-crap insane and/or sadistic that they don't care (Deadpool was happy to have gotten a highlight reel of his whole life of mayhem and thought it was awesome), or C) those who actually enjoy the pain. Lobo falls into both B & C. Lobo was literally kicked out of Hell because he was having too much fun.
Except is does. Both cases were shown to he the rider going easy on them and deadpool even asked that to his FACE. And got an answer that yes, the rider could destory him whenever he wants. It's wven worked on policemen who accidentally chased an armed gunman closer to civilians and didn't know. It's even made pain impossible to enjoy specifically by a masochist who thought it wouldn't work on him.
The ONLY way it doesn't work is if they actually draw strength from pain or have no soul. Or too many eyes oddly enough.

You should check out Superpower Beatdown. The majority of them are essentially a live action death battle.
Well aside from the fact that they do zero research and rely entirely on fan votes, which makes them far less interesting.
@@LittleZbot less informative sure but it's live action fights. Compared to the 16bit fight scenes on this they are definitely more entertaining. Besides that they almost always have an alternate ending. It's not about comparing who won it's about watching a well choreographed movie quality fight scene.
