I never knew Lobo's backstory to why he is immortal, it is a really cool twist. Caused so much chaos to the gods and demons that they don't want him in the afterlife.

One detail I love about this entire fight is that at the beginning of it, ghost rider is the one saying “Lobo of Czarnia, your sins are innumerable, I am here to wreak vengeance upon your soul.” But at the end of it, it’s completely Zarathos taken over and he. Is. PISSED and makes sure to tell him that there is no escaping when he says the same phrase, but more menacing

Raven one shotted the seven deadly sins who had the power to destroy raven and universes, killed etrigan and ripped belail's heart out of his chest and killed an army of demons over 3000 single handednly, fought her evil demonic self inside a hell and won in 1vs1 fight, tanked an atomic blast arrow from trigon with her bare body and he even punched her but she got up and healed immediately Raven has an absurd healing factor she could regenerate from a soul and defeated a bloodlusted Orion.

Ghost Rider would have serious issues with her if she seriously tries to win in fact he'd have a much bigger fight with her even more than etrigan would give since she's stronger than him.

One of my favorite moments in that World War Hulk battle is that Ghost Rider eventually just drives off and leaves Hulk be because he realizes: the people behind what happened to Hulk are the actual sinners.
So ghost riders will stop going after other sinners because there could be a prime sinner now?… that’s dumb. I guess the writers didn’t want to have him lose.

It would have destroyed Thanos really fast. While Comic-Thanos doesn't really care about the penance stare, the movie version of him felt a bit guilty about his kills and would die through that.

Well, the soul stone would protect Thanos from the penance stare, but he didn't have stones in the big battle in Endgame. So if Ghost Rider came through one of these portals, he could have killed Thanos with ease.

THAT was wonderful! Ghostrider is extremely underrated. Lobo and Doomsday are techincally unkillable, but how do you escape a being that brings the might of heavenly hell onto your very soul and not just your skin. A stare as powerful as the sin count of the one being punished and Lobo has millions, if not billions of souls to answer. Brilliant!

I don't know if some had pointed it out yet and it won't change the results I'm satisfied with G.R Being the winner but I'm surprised there was no mention of Lobo going by far to survive Battling The Mask himself as it says in 13:56 in his list of Feats.

You at first I was thinking "It's obviously going to be lobo he can survive any physical damage, take on the forces of hell and heaven, and wage war on cosmic entities" and was a little apprehensive on whether he was downplayed during the actual fight, but after the explanation I have to agree. I never would have considered that angle when imagining these two fighting, this was very well thought out. Ghost Rider has been the one getting downplayed

This fight was decided when one realizes the Spacehog can't be fixed so quickly but the Hellcycle can be rebuilt with magic.
Ghost rider is one of my top 10 favorite comic books characters. He’s criminally underrated. I wish they could introduce him into the MCU but I doubt it will happen because of how strong he is.
But that´s the point, Ghost rider(the joint form of Johnny Blaze and Zarathos) isn´t that OP. It´s Zarathos unleashed that is. Johnny keeps him in check. Even when Zarathos takes control, Johnny still has influence, it´s really only when Johnny is out of the equation that he becomes "Boundless" and "God-like" according to Dr. Strange.

Edit: Fellas, it's been two years since I've posted this comment. So far I have made exceptions for: Zuko, Shadow the Hedgehog, Blade, Doom Guy, Hellboy and Guts (despite my saying that I would not make an exception for him because I had no clue who Guts was at the time).
I want to say that I *do* believe that edge-lord is an old term that I don't use anymore, at least in a negative connotation. I love all characters because of their flaws, not in spite of them, *if* being an edge-lord is even considered a flaw in this day and age. I, personally, believe that characters deemed with the titles "edge-lord" and "Mary-Sues" make for the most interesting stories.
I will say though, out of all these wonderful characters brought to me, Ghost Rider and Spawn are still my favorites.
(And maybe Kratos too.)

@@BrendenTait8858 my thought was that because he’s insane, he wouldn’t feel guilt over it or he would thrive on the pain or something like that. Kind of like how Thanos wasn’t affected by it. But I’m not a big Ghostrider guy, so I don’t know all the details about how his powers work.
@@weltallelite Yeah. It’s weird how the stare works, but what it does is that it’s not exactly a “guilt” thing, but quite literally making you feel the emotions of the ones you hurt. The guilt (if the victim is capable of guilt) would come after the suffering.
The main reason Thanks and others resist the Penance Stare is because writers have been bullshitting it for 20 years.

Literally that line is what keeps me coming back to re-watch this. Very well delivered, through the Ghost Rider reverb filter, makes it a pretty terrifying threat. Especially since he fulfills the promise like 2 seconds after saying it.

I would totally suggest a battle between Ghost Rider and Deadpool if I didn’t already know how that battle would turn out. Deadpool’s healing factor is impressive, but, being based on mutant powers, it could only save Deadpool from physical injuries. Ghost Rider’s demonic invincibility combined with his attacks that could literally destroy his enemies’ souls would give him the ability to truly kill Deadpool. The Merc with the Mouth would literally stand no chance against Mephistopheles’ Spirit of Vengeance.
They don't normally do same verse/franchise fights unless it's a battle royale
Fair point. My real reason for this comment, however, was to point out how I don’t think Deadpool stands a chance, not as an actual suggestion for a Ghost Rider versus Deadpool Death Battle.
I dunno. Seeing Deadpool's goofy and fourth-wall breaking antics are kinda nuts, I wouldn't be surprised if he just went "lol nope" to the Penance Stare.
It's worth noting he defeated him once before during the whole "deadpool killogy" thing

Imagine talking about the penance stare, showing the footage, but failing to mention that it once ONE-SHOT GALACTUS.
It's one of those attacks that's so dangerous specifically because it scales up based on how dangerous the person it's being used on is. The more damage they've done, the more harm they've caused, the more penance they have to do.
The penance stare has become a joke.
Captain Marvel : "I'm tired of being punished"
Punisher :"I don't regret"
Thanos: "I like pain"
So it's the marvel writers who don't take it seriously, so can't expect the audience to take it seriously either.
It's a joke among writers who don't understand how it works.
It doesn't matter if you're tired of it.
It doesn't matter if you regret it.
It doesn't matter if you like it.
The only way to avoid having to do penance is not to have done harm.
Basically, it all comes down to whether or not the writers in question respect the works of other writers, or just want to roll over established elements of the setting the way DC steamrolls Marvel characters whenever they're given permission to write them in crossovers. They wave off the Penance Stare because they'd rather ignore it than write a story around it.

So if you are saying that they have never caused harm and that's why it didn't work on them, then I don't know. So what you said is canonically proven wrong.

I think the best way to sum that up is in Marvel the devil has to go almost full force if not completely all out in order to come out on top of a full-strength Ghost Rider. The DC version of the devil would quite literally just looking Lobo's general direction from 69,420 universes away and he would just stop existing. There would be no trace of him left.
