Hello everyone, thanks for sticking with me during this short, and more scenery - focused departure from my usual type of content. I am now back in the desert, on the hunt for strange things and ancient mysteries... Stay tuned.
I sure hope you got the permit to do this. I don't care if it's a legal gray area and you think you found a loop hole, it's a principal. Regardless many people don't want drones here or their footage of Wyoming uploaded to youtube for profit.
You get my vote for the best drone pilot on RUclips. You seem to be willing to fly it where others won’t dare to go. The result is some spectacular video footage. Great channel!
My friend you are much better than most Hollywood camera men , you could be making the BIG BUCKS, plus we all know how much you love what you are doing so keep it up, for yourself and all of us.
Great video, I turn my head when you get so close to the cliff edges. When young that didn’t bother me. Now an old man it makes me nervous. A beautiful area. I couldn’t stop thinking about if there were wild trout in the stream. A very difficult place to get to. But a fly fishing experience of a lifetime. Thanks as always for this latest trip I made sitting on my couch.
@@youdig-detectionThey hold thousands or even millions of tons already. A few kilograms on top don't matter. Snow in Winter is far heavier than a human and his dog
My dear friend, thank you for this incredible video, and for including the sounds of the winds, birds, moving water and the sounds of your footsteps on our precious earth. Thank you so very much!
The flight down the tributary past the waterfall, then back was just incredible, Nolan. I have hiked parts of the main canyon on both sides, but the pov footage went where we all would go were we birds. Thanks so much.
You just made me go looking !!!! The Yellowstone River runs through the Upper and Lower Falls and heads north into Montana to join the Missouri. Clark Fork is up by Missoula. Ahhh But Clarks Fork Yellowstone DOES flow out onto the plains of Wyoming and THEN up into Montana. Ooooooh the name game got me. Learned something new ! Thanks !!!
Once again, your drone work takes my breath away from the first minutes of this spectacular video ! You and your dog are one team "extraordinaire " ! Thanks for sharing !
this isn't on the Yellowstone River, it is the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone. it runs east out of the park, if you drive from Cooke City to Cody you will drive along this canyon. there are so many places to go explore down in that area and see very few people. at one point there is a bridge crossing a side offshoot of this canyon, if you head south from there you will be on the going to the sunlight basin road. the drive over Chief Josheph hyw is a nice drive. or if you are adventurous, there is the Morrison jeep trail on the north side of the canyon that will take you north to the Beartooth hyw close to Top of the World store, and then over Beartooth pass.
Gorgeous, gorgeous location. Wow. Thanks so much for sharing it. Some of us are disabled and unable to travel. This takes me places I could never currently go IRL. Really appreciate it, and the calm, peaceful, reverent tone you narrate in. You're the best. And your dog is so special too.
I love your channel. My dream was to be an archeologist and study the desert wall art etc. then life happened and had a totally different plan for me. So I am living my dream through your channel. I look forward to each and every one of them. I have watched them all at least 3 times. Thank you fir sharing and don’t forget to take us along
I used to live in Clk Wy. 2 Years. I loved it on one hand...too remote for daily life on the other hand. One day I hiked by myself up to Bridal Falls....kind of risked life and limb to get to the top of the falls by rock scrambling. Was def worth it. Then moved to the near ski town in MT north for 2 years before I moved back to NY. I miss out west...daily....and I thank you so much for this vid. Brings back many memories.

Beautiful Wyoming limestone formations in Clarks Fork Canyon and has some of the most interesting geological features in Wyoming! The Absorka Mountains meet the Beartooth Mountains with many smaller canyons cut through by water due to melting snow for millions of years. Your drone work is fantastic Nolan!
Nolan your videos are awesome Great job with the drone footage and filming camera work I love all the places you explore!! Thank you sooo much for posting these amazing finds And taking us all along with you on your journey to these epic places on earth !!
NOLAN! This is NOT a video! It is an EXPERIENCE! You put me right there with you; and the drone footage was SPECTACULAR! 🙌 You will find it hard to beat this one! I had to watch it again, stopping it on the fantastic scenes and waterfalls. The only thing that could be better, is what YOU experienced being there, breathing in the fresh air, sounds, and scents in person! 🌲🌄🌲
Another EPIC adventure Nolan....so amazing to see these places...So many would never get the opportunity if you weren't bringing it week after week. You ROCK brother ...POV top shelf adventures...literally 😉
At 16:40 Those rocks you were standing on were barely attached. The crack is on both sides almost to the bottom! 😧 Be careful! End pieces are always falling off and it dont look like it will be long for that one. Exelent video as always 👍🫡
I had the same horrified feeling! Nolan, we want you to keep making videos! Don't take unnecessary risks. We can enjoy the shots just as well from a safer location.
I'm almost certain that his recklessness will cause his demise. It's make us comment for sure, but it's pretty unecessary to take those risk, the video has already everything it's need to be interesting.
@@youdig-detection He probably couldn't see the massive crack from the top, but it would be a good idea to scope it out with the drone before he stands on it.
I would be crawling out of my skin standing on that rock, washing my breakfast dishes, and seeing a big trout surface. That looks as fine a place as any to wet a line with an old flyrod. Wyoming has some beautiful postcard picturesque qualities that would definitely make a visit a hard one to come back from. I think the American Indians had it figured out. Far from easy, but once they got things "dialed in" (symbiosis) I think selling them on moving anywhere else (Sorry Oklahoma) was just never going to work. Chief Joseph must have been quite an amazing individual to fool the pursuers, gamble on an exit suitable for his entire tribe, and had incredible leadership skills to successfully make it the 1,200 miles to Canada with the Nez Perce.
At the Edge of the Canyon Here, where the earth splits open wide, The Yellowstone carves its ancient path, A river cutting through stone and pride, Its voice a steady, timeless wrath. The walls blaze gold, red, and gray, Each layer a memory locked in rock. They speak of fire, of flood, of decay- A story too vast for the ticking clock. I stand on the edge, small as a breath, While below, the canyon swallows sound. It humbles me, this dance of death, Where life and erosion circle around. There’s no promise here, no lasting plan, Just water and stone in endless play. I’m a part of it all-a fragile span, Here for a moment, then swept away. But there’s no sorrow in that truth. The canyon’s beauty is sharp and clear: What matters is now, this fleeting youth, This chance to stand, to feel, to be here. The river flows on, unbothered, free, And I watch, at peace, as it carves the land. In its journey, I see what I need to see- The strength in letting go of what we can’t command.

Oh man, seeing that waterfall for a bit brought back memories of one I knew who decided to end his life by jumping off it. I remember what an emotional visit it was for me going to that spot. Thank you for giving me another way to remember the waterfalls and the beauty of Yellowstone.
Great to see how this is similar landform to further south but with more moisture, mists, bands of coniferous forest, and individual trees on crags. The haze and mist and Appaloosa riding free spirits escaping the European industrial matrix by entering a maze that will kill the disconnected. Very Good video man. Stay free.

The Yellowstone carves its ancient path,
A river cutting through stone and pride,
Its voice a steady, timeless wrath.

They speak of fire, of flood, of decay-

There’s no promise here, no lasting plan,

I’m a part of it all-a fragile span,
Here for a moment, then swept away.
But there’s no sorrow in that truth.
The canyon’s beauty is sharp and clear:
What matters is now, this fleeting youth,
This chance to stand, to feel, to be here.
The river flows on, unbothered, free,
And I watch, at peace, as it carves the land.
